Combat System Changes Dossier Pt. 4

Look at these prices… So beautiful. In your server, old costumes costs the same? Or they’re even cheaper?
Nothing lose my time, anyone who’s defend bot’s are trash just like bot users.
Hidden quest and pract itens, without bot we can sell and get 10x more silver with those kind of drops, but NOOO now we try to sell already have in market a ■■■■ tons of them a low prices, and if you need silver you will low your price to compete and sell it.
Yea yea, bot are not a problem…haha bro you F kidding me. Not lose my time replying why bots are the problem again.
IMC IS NOT THE ONLY RESPONSIBLE: PLAYERS/COMMUNITY has a big share of guilty:
Hook(PLAYERS)/bot(IMC/PLAYERS)/■■■■ ton of bugs unsolved(IMC)
I’ve had other accounts on the forum, i just like to have fun and contribute a bit here and there.
People think “bots” are at fault for current practo materials prices when it’s just challenge mode, every 5 man level 5 run puts 25 cubes into the game with the potential of giving 3 materials each.
Also gear check is low for doing challenge mode, so there’s people doing it with more than one character everyday.
Anyways, i’m out. Had fun and all, i’m not “defending” IMC.
This thread is pointless and full of troll suggestions by bad players.
Honestly, trolls work the same way as bots I’m afraid. If you give them attention they’ll get to you and ruin your fun. Otherwise you’d still enjoy discussing with sane people around here.

Defense Reference: https://tos.neet.tv/npcs?lvlmax=360&stats=DEF&statmax=9998&order=statd&f=1
I pick a value that fits for high end content, WB mainly 5k, HG340 mainly 2.5k, and new maps 1.7k.
Challenge Mode it seems will scale up per stage but the scaling method unknown, with stage 1 is default.
I never recruited GadenRhoss as a member of my white knighthood, take your words back at once!
I’d much prefer Transcendence over refining. At least it’s guaranteed, so you know you can reach T10 eventually. Lower transcendence stages requires significantly less gems, so something like T5 or T6 is very reachable for a casual for a single character, yet still holds its own. You also get 90% of your gems back when you’re done with the item, so you can get a head start on the next one.
Refining though, not only is it chance-based, but you also often regress (unless using diamond anvils). There’s also a limit in the number of chances you get. 0 pot, game over.
All costumes are 10-25 here now.
Ice Wings 140-200. One other Wings 75, not the one i want tho
Diamond Anvils 39+40
one Wedding Book 200
one Dionys Armband 65
Looks dead. Right when I was thinking about buying another Ice Wings for 3.5m, lol.
PSO2 has 0 population, split lobbies and feels basically like a single player game. “Hardcore”. Fun game tho.
PSO2 HAS WHAT? LOL my bruh pso2 aint never running out of content or players. you just lost my vote on that 1 statement
If the main feature of the game is a total mess (class rank system), there’s no surprise the population will struggle to expand.
Instead of revamping the whole class system to avoid new players from getting harshly punished by their early decisions (which would be a good and easy way to improve the game), the game now provides a faster way to level up, so the player can easily create new characters.
It’s a terrible way to fix the main issue. Most players will just lose all interest in the game after they realize their effort until certain point was futile. You are naive to think all players would create a new toon and start over to fix a mistake was not even their fault.
In a game with limited end-game content, the leveling journey has much more value as part of the content for the player. If you make leveling faster in order to soften the class choices issue, you are just cutting off a great part of the game content.
Also, there are other reasons people are not coming back. Most old players don’t regularly access the game website or reddit to check updates and changes, and for some reason, the game seems to be invisible to mmorpg and general games sites, so people don’t know what’s going on with the game or don’t even know the game.
You are really forcing me to write here again.
Speculations are that ^0.x is a mobile number to smooth the curve when going too high or too low.
The system punishes you when you are too down the curve, once you overcome the basic defense (that for field content is pretty low, you will deal normalish damage).
Nothing else to say on the rest as you touch fine issues.
Well

Well, there are many bosses more than that, as well as many low content far lesser than that.
I only take a mercy value where it fits for end content like ET/Challenge Mode/HG340, all refer from database.
The formula, I merely taken from here, i’m not sure but pretty it hasn’t changed, im not sure where your reference from. Greetings, Saviors!

I actually also tested a lot on my own and I can say that it is pretty accurate.
The information in incosistent with those.
Read this one too: https://treeofsavior.com/page/news/view.php?n=948
PS: In this one you actually get the results if you apply the formula to the numbers given. Also the log is capped to 1.
This is indeed confusing, I’ve read that too just because I think it is dossier pt1 i think it might outdated compare to dossier pt4.
By using that formula, the atk/matk is much steeper than what I post, as a result it is still the same issue.

@STAFF_Ines We might need help to get the latest correct damage calculation.
I’ve told you, the speculation is that ^0.X is a moving target based on how much you go under or over the monster defense.
You can try it by overcoming the enemies defense on lower leveled maps and test the numbers.
If you go up enough you approach true damage.
Editino i wanted to do before the forum crashed:
For instance, i’m hitting for around 80% of my attack values at Valandis Room 2.
By following the formulas i should hit with only 50-60% of it.
But IF i remove my weapons, the damage i deal is being reduced by around 70% (Tested on 200str character with hats).
I can test on my swordy later too (600str without weapon).
This kind of system gets pretty punishing in pvp, where you can reach incredibly high defense and mdef with trans.
Not really, but we can debate on that, but ^0.X is not the important factor.
Try do the sheet chart your own and play with the value.
If you replacing it with 0.01-0.99, you are only widen the min-max value of the percentage.
The higher, the worse for low attack players who get even lower % and the more .
The lower, the worst for high attack players who get little damage % upgrade with very high investment to boost atk.
I believe it is rather a fixed 0.9
The chart will looks like this, we have to consider the practical attack range is nearly 3k-15k

While I believe level different could another factor, but the 0.X is not.
If i’m dealing high % of damage at low level map, it just because my attack value is much higher than enemy defense, resulted i have very high damage efficiency of 80-99%.
Not forget those attack modifier % or elemental/type additional damage
You got it wrong. If you surpass the enemy defense by many times, you will completely ignore it (0% reduction).
This is not possible outside of lower level maps.
I can even show this in video to you if you don’t believe it. I can get buffed, reach 7k+ attack and my damage wont be reduced as your graph shows on 340+ monsters.
You are tying the factor to the attack value, but the factor is probably tied to how your attack relates to the monster defense.
