I always thought a good buff to bounce shot would be an attribute that grant every shot a chance to bounce again. And spiral arrow definetly needs something like 5 overheats.

I actually thought they did rework archer already but I realized I had the Falconer changes in mind (which I am waitiiing fooooorrrr)
On topic with Ranger (did not read everything I apologize), Ranger is good but on paper… true 10-20% flat dmg increase is surely great considering its very pathetic duration + animation while casting, I played SR before and it came as Ranger 3 down to Ranger 1 (and that is even because *I have no other choice anyway)…
If they do buff, say, Steady Aim duration then Ranger will be sooo goood. But for now, I’d say it is not really in a good spot

vubbe gloves, 0 defence, archer is still a frail character, i have a squire alt just for repair and AoE skewers. it’s not easy, nor it’s cheap.

@siderit99 pavise and caltrops are not bad too, but 300 seconds running shot is cheap and strong even at high levels, it does depend on your ping

300 secs Running shot that is still viable at end-game content is no joke, not to mention they are trying to push AA builds up. Going all the way to circle 3 for a certain skill is not strange in this game, like how people do with Wiz3 for Quick cast, Hunter3 for Growling, Chrono for Pass or Doppel3 for Punish earthquake attribute. Imo QS is hell to level up, but Running shot kinda makes enduring all that worth it, not a waste of 3 ranks at all.

Yeah I hope Scout gets a nice rework, out of all the archer classes I feel like scout is one of the least interesting and useful since the combat rework patch. I’d love to see scouts mechanics revolve more around stealth than just giving access to it.
Before r9 patch it was difficult for me to level up a QS3. I know it gets easier nowadays and too bad i dont have any QS that needs to level up currently to see for myself alright. Did anyone die because i didnt clarify this? Or do i have to add a bunch of clarification as well as disclaimer for everything i say because there are people that love confronting even for the littlest detail and i have to be cautious all the time?

And how about reading the OP? I’m not gonna post the same thing @Borel already did in the first post of this topic. He clearly stated the Archer tree needed a rework because a significant number of Archer classes are awful at the moment. You simply ignored everything @Expiredmilk said because you had no arguments and went with “lul I’m not gonna answer since you dunno how to spell Rogue correctly xd”.
So far, you only contradicted yourself saying that Scout and Hunter are indeed bad, but you’re against a rework of Archer classes. You say other users here are cherrypicking, but this is everything you’ve done. When you don’t have arguments, this is the kind of excuse you have:
Oh, and please stop defending the idea that AAR is steadily available for Archer classes. We already know you’re a Falconer player. While +8 AAR means +8 targets with the reworked Circling for you, it isn’t the same for most Archer builds that don’t pick Falc3 (I hope you know how AoE ratio mechanics work). For example, try playing Hackapell2 or Mergen2 and you’ll understand.

I didn’t read all thread so I might repeat some stuff. But I think a good way to approach the problem is to think about what the class seems supposed to do and what it actually does.
Most of archer classes are played as gimmick or “single skill pick” to support R8-R9 picks and Mergen, for example, isn’t even good on it’s own.
Most archer classes needs a good rework because they’re either too weak or just used for a gimmick purpose like Poison for Velnia Monkey cards.
Archer is only class tree atm that we have some C2 or C3 that there’s no reason to pick at all - more like, if you pick C2 or C3 for some like Scout it’s actually punishing and feels like wasted ranks.

Somehow the topic suddenly switched to my 1 sentence, people sure love confronting each other cause they have too much time. I didnt grind directly for exp but run dungeons and do quests instead, so i find it difficult back in the day. If that little thing makes you feel any more superior than other people or deserving a praise, go ahead, brag about it with whoever you meet.
