What's your biggest concern about the game?

Thanks for not being an ass like some elitists here are about this matter, lol.

To me, having a bond with my character (and the whole time to level him up) is the reason I want a reset to begin with. If I was ever to screw my char again (like I did on beta chosing Thauma instead of Psycho 2) I think I wouldn’t play another Wizard, or even maybe the game (at least for a long time).

@lorde_viana pointed a solution for one of the problems here, a “preview” that let you test a class before chosing it for your path. That would have helped me to not get Thauma before, for example.

However, I think that the hidden classes and the game expansion/updates on itself are also threatening. Most people will build their characters based on informations we have now, but those will get broader and can be changed with time. Like, how Fireball + Psychic Pressure was killed, new skills are being made for some classes or remade (I know it’s happening a lot because it’s a beta, but it can also happens on live).

We don’t know if level 600/Rank 10 will be the cap forever, or if new branches will be add, or anything that comes to IMC mind.

I am not into a simple reset tho. I do think it should have a limitation on usage (like once every 3~6 months) or other kind of “punishment” so people can’t just keep changing for what is the flavor of the month build.
It’s to help people keep feelng good about their characters since they are such big investment.

If ppl can change classes what do you think will happen after 2 month?? OMG MONK OP all go for monk . OMG MONK get nerfed all change and so on its stupid and gamebreaking

I’m all for having a class reset, but only in exchange for something, or a one time big time usage, so it doesn’t get abused.
In replacement of that, I like the ideas pitched out wherein you can simulate your class build before finalizing it.

no, no to class changes, there’s just no point in it.

I agree, I want more character customization especially skin tones.

They should put up a salon where you can have your character’s hair styled given more choices not available at character creation. + probs a styling salon for skin tones and such. a teeny bit like Gaia online salons.

My only real concern i would have for this product is the same i would have for any product: “How vocal & transparent are the Developers with their Community?”

In my 15+ years of MMO gaming, this has been the absolute most important aspect in the MMOrpg projects that i have personally been involved with, and the way this aspect is handled is what can truly make or break a online game’s longevity.

The context of the communication between developers and it’s community is so darn vital, just as vital as it is for us the players to report bugs, (whether they be major or minor) -we the community value honesty and transparency within the product we are spending time in.

So far I’ve seen some really good examples of communication and transparency, but what is really going set the tone, is whether or not that will continue “post-launch.”

my biggest concern about the game is that monster and boss fights are a bit too easy from what ive experienced

i played a few characters and went through all the early archer classes in icbt
below are some thoughts

level 1-25 areas are well done - i got a good idea of what the game is about
crystal mine was a good place for transition to rank 2 and level 15 equipment

level 26-45 areas started slow but picked up with gesti
story quests from srautas canyon to gele plateau was sort of a let down after crystal mine and i started wishing that boss fights would be more challenging
similar to crystal mine i felt that tenet chapel was a good place for transition to rank 3 and level 40 equipment

level 46-65 areas looked amazing but it felt like the content was just as difficult as level 26-45 areas
i would like bosses during this stretch to be harder especially harpeia
there was a bit of a disconnect with the part where you move on to gateway of the great king

overall i think it would help if enemies attack faster and monster collision gets added
i am fine with story quest bosses being easy but it would be great if every map has at least a boss fight that is challenging

Why that ? Why if can CREATE the way you like, having to go to a saloon instead ?

its called INCENTIVE, the same way you’d farm an achievement for a new hair color =P

But…but…If i want to be :

I wont be able to…because i have to kill “x onions at y places” then go to a saloon to change my skin.
No way lad.
I want to be epic from the start until the end. I don’t suppose you can even roleplay that way.

Oh, you misunderstood me. I only meant for more variety like for example, you want PURPLE skin, with facemarks or what not - those features that are out of the normal. Or like dual gradient hair. I meant those, you’d go to salons for.

I’m still definitely looking forward to the basic customization feature at character creation, wherein I’m given a few base palettes for the normal skin tones such as brown, black, yellow, white, etc.

The problem is, your “idea” kinda removes the incentive to make more than 4 alts X_X, If you want to play different variants of a wizard(for example: a DPS mage, pyro-elementalist, or a support mage, thaumaturge-chronomancer) you should need to make different characters, not being able to just reset your classes… I dont agree with letting you try a class(unless you cap it at class level 5, and if you go any further you cant go back) because it takes a little bit away from the excitement.

But to each his own, I just dont agree that it’d be healthy for the replayability of the game( I dont remember how many mages/paladins I ran on diablo2 lol).

Also on your second point: If they add new class branches and you wanna go for it, then you should make another character, its kinda simple. It happened on RO, I remember having a priest and then I got hyped by monk, sadly I had to remake my character to become a monk.

Mainly the (mostly) linear progression and damage formula. The first one streamlines the experience quite a bit. The second one prevents players from exploring higher level content, even if they are well organized and up to the challenge.

Super agreed sir. :ok_hand:

Don’t have any particular concern which make me dislike this game…
But some interrogations… About the linearity (the main quest line seems to be very basic), about the resets (will it be possible to change your path?), about the economy (damned gold sellers), about a barrack’s storage (pleaaaaaaaaase)…

PvP balance.
20characters.

I didn’t pvp, but what i see its pretty much based on the composition of the team. Slightly the same way you build a team in a moba. If your team comp is bad, you gonna lose.

That Nexon NA is going to pick it up…

Probably the fact that it’s global. So many people in the beta couldn’t speak or understand English.

the other huge problem is that many buff skills are useless, giving you a flat +x buff that progressively gets worse as you level until it’s useless. But I’m hoping they can fix that.

My biggest concern is the player base asking for too many changes by the development team. If the dev team follows through with all these changes, tos will stray too far from it’s original design and won’t appeal to the majority.
