What's your biggest concern about the game?

What makes you think “Ohh I’m not so sure about this game”?

This is not a hate topic, it’s a genuine question. If you are waiting for ToS instead of dedicating to something else you unconsciously (or not) made a pro/cons comparisson in your head. What are the cons?

In my case, I’m very very afraid of the PvP system. The grinding-oriented style makes me think that PvP and GvG are not top-priority for them. Besides, the fact that classes are being designed BEFORE a GvG system exists, to me, means trouble.

That comes from someone who only plays anything if it has good PvP, so it’s not a neutral opinion - but still counts.

What are yours?

The only thing I’m afraid of is that I stayed up until 4 AM playing on the 1st day of CBT and the next day I was almost falling asleep at work XD

It does not matter if the classes are made before or after with the amount of class combinations it will never be balanced. Look at guild wars 1 as a example being able to mix so many skills causes lots of balance trouble. But that aside so far my only con has been people in player base complaining about things they have not played far enough to test. At least get the information before complaining, i am not asking much -.- .

I’m concerned that the game ends being too linear. Right now it feels like no matter what class you pick or what choices you make, while you progress through the levels you’ll have to go through the same path all over again…

But this might still be a beta thing, and IMC already said that they planned to make 3 different places to level for each level range (or at least that is what someone translated here)… but i’m not convinced seeing the current map distribution… maybe the new instanced dungeons that where added recently on the extended kCBT will fix this… but only time will tell ;p.

I’m a bit worried about the way quests work.

I was really underwhelmed by the class change quests which just boiled down to “collect 15 poisons from bats in the mine”
And most quests I’ve done were like that so far, none of them really amazed me.

I’d rather have less quests, but in return quests with much more impact

bot - will there be no real people but only bots in the field? i’m very worried
p2w - will it be a game that u can hardly level out or beat anything without paying cash? I’m really worried about this.

That they never implement real shadows. Things in-game only feel like they have volume thanks to perspective (this is specially true for backgrounds, but I guess they’re meant to feel 2D for art direction purposes).

The circular “blob” thing under characters is kinda unacceptable in 2015 come on.

Biggest concerns for me are rewards and bosses at the moment, i really hate the effort/reward ratio of blue mobs compared to bosses along with the extremely early grind wall, and also hate that we can’t fight quest bosses a 2nd time without making a new character or joining a party.

Biggest concern is that it will suck my life away…slowly…

Character customization is my biggest concern by far. Although that should be obvious judging by my incredibly redundant series of posts on the matter… <-< At this time, nothing concerns me as much as customization at character creation.

well i know is somewhat taboo to compare this game to RO but in RO classes were designed and changed throughout the game before any GvG existed. And considering the nerf to Smite the only Paladin reliable damage skill im sure they got PvP in mind when making this changes as much as PvE.

My concerns mainly is the different classes dont feel so different, sure they got different skills but the few amount of skill one has in each makes it feel like you are mainly going into that class because of that ONE good skill it has. If people keep complaining that this one particular skill is OP over the other, the nerf bats will soon start flying and when its all over, we will have classes that are not even worth to dip a rank in cuz all their skills suck.

The other concern is F2P scares me, most F2P games are not done correctly quickly becoming cash cows with the cash shop having OP items exclusive for P2W players which the free players cant even compete with. So it ends up being an arms race against other cash shop players with one question in mind “who can spend the most money in this game to feel better than others before the game crashes and burns cuz without the free players populace MMOs are not so Massive and turn boring”

Ya real shadows means you shader software has to work correctly which lets face most shader software doesnt do your graphic card justice and tends to not be fully compatible with most games. I prefer the blobs performance wise and im sure thats probably the reason they are making it blobs so most people with not a state-of-the-art pc can still run the game without feeling like they are missing alot of the game.

Linearity
Lack of player skill - too much auto attack based and skill cd reliance
Lack of staff replies

There’s many valid concerns that other players have raised, but linearity is one that seems ingrained in the game at the moment. The maps seem too narrow, forcing players to go through the same or very similar progressions. The fact that Klaipeda is one of only three cities on the world map and is basically located in a corner with field levels gradually increasing towards the top of the map makes me worried that lower level fields and dungeons would not be revisited and forgotten. Hopefully there’s more variety and freedom for players to embark on their journey as they wish.

Lack of any sort of balance. It’s impossible to balance all the classes, but at least have there be 10+ viable dps builds instead of the 2 or so builds popular in Korea or having so many class options is pointless

My concern is this game not having a class reset.

Don’t wanna chose Rank 7+ based on superficial infos, regreting it and then: “oh, wellp, gonna grind 500 levels again”.

My biggest concern right now is what form monetization is going to take. Obviously as a free to play game there will be some form of micro-transaction/cash shop. This is by far the least appealing type of mmo for me, but I can certainly understand how it’s is more ideal from a business stand point. My fear is that the Cash Shop will imbalance the game too much.

I wanna laugh at people who choose a Rank 7+ based on superficial infos, regretted it and then: “oh, wellp, gonna grind 500 levels again”.

Top concern is what they’ll do with Wizard and it’s class paths. They need some tweaks and I’m bothered that one of the last updates only hurt them further.I’m sincerely hoping for a change for the better come closer to release time.

Second, what IMC decides to do in terms of publishing.Lot of baddies on the list, and we haven’t heard anything confirmed yet,so it’s a little unsettling.
