Yea soon there’ll be a thread ranting about the non-English speaking players.
In general, players who can’t understand a single word of korean, were gathered into the iCBT… Players are from all over the world. Just to be able to know what they’re doing while playing, you don’t have to be fully bilingual, knowing the “essential” words is enough to play. But that doesn’t necessary means that everyone speaks in english fluently.
Don’t worry about that. The Dev Team hears/reads us, but they’re still the commander-in-chief, they won’t drastically change their baby
hmm well my worries are (if not yet presented by upper post) is a stand alone client…
reason : i have crappy ISP =3=". why not just change ISP? i cant… theirs no other ISP here in my place so i have to suffer from crappy services they provide =_="… oh and another thing, its not like i dislike STEAM client, but from a low spec slow internet player, running additional background program helps alot and STEAM client somehow uses internet connections (probably STEAM’s browser) while running in background causing lag and the game client to not even update/patch or even connect to the internet. basically, a high speed internet user have the advantage over steam than a slow internet user.
also, about the beta… if they’ll just patch the client rather than scrapping it and make a new client… (like i said in the upper part i have slow internet, downloading 5GB of client file takes me like 10 days to complete <-may include broken files too due to unstable connections). i only have a max of 2mbps of unstable internet and 150-200 kbps stable for playing games @_@/ but not exempted to lag… thanks to crappy ISP =V i mainly play solo so those speed dosnt bother me that much
i’m sorry to hear that u have that bad of an ISP, but steam is the perfect platform to launch the game, more ppl will see the game if its listed in the steamlist under f2p games, which is a huge plus for the devs ofc. automatic updates via steamupload etc. imc would be stupid to not run the game via steam and adding a standalone version next to the steam version is way to much work, cause u had to provide support + updates etc for it, so a standalone version next to steam is prbly a lower than 1% chance if not completely 0%
hmm true… but still im hoping they made one
but ill still play the game even if have to keep updating it to the point i cant even play it
I’m afraid of the p2w aspect, if they make this game p2w it will suck but I will still play it.
I’d much prefer having to pay for the game, imo paying for a game will drop some players off but having it p2w will drop waaaay more payers off.
Also pay to play should reduce some hackers that get banned and want to continue hacking but they have to pay even more money to do so.
I’d personally pay 50 euro no problem for the game and I’ve only played the beta
Devs did meant this game to be PvE but in future, they will start adding PvP contents (more of it) if you guys as in us players deeply want it after trying out PvE contents and still think u prefer PvP
Just a Hunch~

If ppl can change classes what do you think will happen after 2 month?? OMG MONK OP all go for monk . OMG MONK get nerfed all change and so on its stupid and gamebreaking
Would you change your class every several (I never said 2) months for the one that is OP at the moment? This game is more about team work and right timing of skill usage than being a class itself. If we ever have a single class faceroll everything, IMC will (I hope) respond to that and nerf it, then people who changed for a shallow motive will get locked to that for a good amount of time and will have to spend money again.
If they will want to risk again changing to something that is OP rather than something they like, it’s their risk and money in play.

The problem is, your “idea” kinda removes the incentive to make more than 4 alts X_X, If you want to play different variants of a wizard(for example: a DPS mage, pyro-elementalist, or a support mage, thaumaturge-chronomancer) you should need to make different characters, not being able to just reset your classes…
If you want to play different variants it would be better to level up another character than playing it only every several months (assuming resets have a cooldown like I said). Reset would be made to correct mistakes/regrets, not playing anything you want whenever you want.

Also on your second point: If they add new class branches and you wanna go for it, then you should make another character, its kinda simple. It happened on RO, I remember having a priest and then I got hyped by monk, sadly I had to remake my character to become a monk.
This game doesn’t have linear class progression like RO, DN… nor a single class from beggining to end like GW2 and Diablo. In those games you chose your path knowing what kind of skills you will have and the usual roles you can play (altho some ppl like to make things weird/different).
ToS has a cross path progression being way more complex/punishing than the kind of games mentioned above. Most games you will either reach cap relly fast or have a treshold level where you can feel how your class fairs before deciding if you want to stick with it or not. In ToS you can only feel it when getting a new Rank and seeing how it goes with your previous ones, but the last Ranks will propably take a looong time to get and are not something “made for the path you already chose”.
I kinda understand you, i know for sure imma go monk until rank7 and have no idea what opens up afterwards, but i think a few hours of theorycrafting+attribute reading(when all the information can be found online)+full gameplay videos will help me make a informed decision

That’s my real concern.
Open Beta test date!
In regards to resets; I believe resets should be a cash-shop item and that it should be pretty expensive! This will make it a very highly priced commodity that will make people want to think twice before not researching their classes/builds, etc…
Cash-Shop Items should be limited to commodities like potions, resets, skins, transportation, timed exp boosts, etc…
for some reason, it’s starting to sound like maple cash shop in terms of transportation, timed exp, reset and skins
P.s: WE ALREADY HAVE THOSE IN CLASS SKILLS like diev can make statues to let us teleport to anywhere and a cleric class(or was it swordsman) had double exp and drop rate etc.
Eu odeio outras BRs eles são desgraça para minha corrida e não gosto deles
