Whats funny in grind 10 hours for day for get 1 lvl? pls we need more and more quest

I don’t. I just think that between this post that complains about grinding 10 hours for just one level vs the article (where people are hitting level 200 despite playing the game for the first time), it just shows inconsistent feedback.

also it will be good to know that, the beta test scope is only till level 165 (where quest stops). I don’t have a source for this but i know because i was in the korean beta for a while. so what you are experiencing now will not actually be a problem in the official release.

I will make my own way just not to sit that long hours. I don’t want to die early.

About the same as killing the same monsters over and over again

I agree with you , I had bad experiences coming tenet chapel low level . After returning there stronger and at the same level I was able to level up very fast 3 levels reaching up to think it was bug kkkk . Anyway I think a lot of people complaining but nobody explores the options. Come on people let’s explore , do not be lazy !!!

More quest? Are you out of mind?

Quest is the reason why socialiity andfun in this game suck and is generic like any other korean grindfest mmorpg out here. Quest force you to solo 9 times out of 10 because is very rare that your friends play with you at the same time. A quest based game is just a terrible mmoRPG experience .

Where is the beautyfull RO system where you party with people and friends around the open world map without any crappy quest? This is the best system to progress because yiou have to rely on other players, making the whole experience more enjoyable and make lots of friends.

Something that unfortunately, developers lost completely nowadays for the fast profit. A true shame.

What OP meant is that, he has a life and he doesn’t want to play 10 hrs or more just to gain a single level, over and over again mindlessly.

No matter what IMC do, there will be lots of people ranting/complaining.
At least for now its good, only proves people/community cares about the game, just dont overdo it
and control ourselves (act and respect each other like a civilize man not sh*tty kids that wants attention)

From reading your post it sounds like you want them to implement the FATE system from FFXIV. It would be a cool idea and would definitely make leveling more fun.

Whats so bad about grinding mobs? Isn’t a MMO a form of escape of reality? When you don’t wanna do things like house chores or look after kids, replace it with grinding mobs. Coz human can’t live without doing something and killing mobs is perfect “work”.

Basically the lack of a challenge and reward makes it feel more tedious than anything atm
gotta say tho grinding in demon prison is fun

That si almost what i said few replies earlier, 100% agree. Keep the gind in the game but make us feel like there is no grind at all

i think he might still be trying to level on the map you start on

And a grinding only mmo is a botter’s paradise.

The point of MMO isn’t the end. It’s the process. If you are playing the game to get max level, you are doing it wrong.

You’re right, the act of playing the game is what makes it fun (or the adventure) and i used to have a lot of fun exploring new maps and getting new itens (even if they’re meaningless) or even something so simple as gain a new ability.

Personaly speaking, i don’t care about reaching the level cap, the only thing that matters is if i’m able to enjoy most of the content without spending more than a month to get to a new class/skill/map/item/instance. I know that most of the people here are concerned about the game because it feels like it won’t take much time to reach the top and everyone will be do it pretty soon, but knowing that there will be a lot of new content in future makes me worry about hours and hours of repetition to enjoy the new content (honestly, i expect that the EXP charts will keep at a good rate so both new and old players can reach high levels).

Also you can’t forget that are a lot of builds to do (i imagine that everyone will have at least 4 characters) in this game so even if you’ll have a lot of time to spend, seems like most of people just ignore that.

Indeed. It’s way easier to make a bot grind endlessly than progressing through a questline

We dont need more quest, is the opposite, we need much less, and let players party in the zones with people around (like in RO).
In this way you don’t feel the grind too much and you can have fun with your friends at the same time. Questing is the main reason why everyone play solo and isn’t able to party with friends killing completely the social part of the game.
Just my opinion on the matter.

I think… why not both ?
We should have both Quest and Normal Grinding and leave it to the players to choose which way they want to level up.

We can also have special events where a lot of players can gather and help each other clear the event for lots of Exp and Drops. Just like Emergency Quests of PSO2.

Or even the smaller scale one that can happen when you either solo or in a party while grinding normally on the Fields or Dungeons. Just like the Emergency Trials of PSO2.

PSO2 Emergency is boring as hell. Always the same things.
And to rush some level by out-passing the quests of the game (The Matter board for example) is not a way to play for me.
If people aren’t Ok with a game made by KR and designed to be Grinded, they should not play at all, that’s all.
Many people like the game like this right now.
I played a little on RO, so I don’t know rate on this game, but I played PWI, and if someone from this game say me that this is not a grinding game, I’ll kill him. Monsters was 20x hardcore than this, with a reward of 0.03 exp.
You needed a lot of scrolls exp x2 + a lot of time to make ONE level. The things was to find a party to make some aoe, and the rate become decent.

  • I want to add that, many people speak about : “Blabla, we won’t be able to reach 600, that’s IMPOSSIBLE … blabla… blabla.”
For information, Lineage 1 was never finished by anyone. No one is the highest level possible.
Because designer made it like that, that the game is impossible to reach this line.
So what to do ? Bah, do what a MMO is made for, socialize.

I’m sorry, this answer is on you because of the first part, but the second part don’t take it for you.
I’m just bored to see people whinning all the day long about the rate.
If they want to be High level in 1 week, go play Tera, WoW, or such a bad MMO like this.
Without speak to anyone, by rushing the game, and get no fun and stop it 2months after because you get nothing to do, or you don’t wana invest into the game anymore.

I’m Okay that ToS needs some more busy things to do outside of the grind and socialize (I prefer hear that they will make a Casino Things like PSO than an Emergency Quest)
They just need to fill it a lil’ more. Make achievements for guilds, GvG for example.
They could even make a Guild territory since the map is huge.

Well that’s all.
I prefer to play the true game than a false Game poorly designed because of some peoples selfish.
Old game Grind based miss me a lot, this one was my last hope.

Cheers.

I was just using PSO2 as an example but they can do other things too.
I think it would be nice if the player had a lot of options to choose from on how they could progress in this game.
And I also think that this game should also be able to appeal to different types of players…
Since not all players play to reach max level as soon as possible. Some like to explore while others like to kill other players, Others like to socialize and hang out with their friends.

I wonder if it is ok to paste a youtube link on posts ?
I wonder if this Video can add more food for thought…

Anyway…
So far I am loving every part of this game…
It feels really nostalgic…
The Art Style, The Music
I love Tree of Savior for the very same reason I love PSO2
Because they both feel very nostalgic when I play them
Tree of Savior really reminds me of my RO days.
While PSO2 really reminds me of my PSO days on Dreamcast too.
