What kind of "healer" do people prefer for dungeons?

As with every class, there are a lot of cleric builds out there, each one can contribute differently to a group and each has their pros and cons. When choosing a party, which type of cleric would you grab first and why?

  1. Chaplain-based, auto-attack buffer

  2. DPS-based, often has Zaibas, Carnivory, and/or Incineration

  3. Full Support, might seem the obvious choice because they can provide the most party buffs but contribute less to overall party damage

These are the three general build types I’ve seen out there for clerics, but let me know if there is a specific build that you prefer in your party.

I’ve spent a lot of time in the cleric section, but I’m curious about how other classes view the cleric “types” for dungeon parties.

Most likely full support, with chaplain you pretty have no room for krivis, where as full support is cleric>cleric>priest>priest>priest>krivis>Kaballist/Plague Docter.

Krivis for the free lvl 5 daino. Convience of pocket change feels great!

Need only 1 INT based Cleric C2 with Lv10 Heal starting from Dungeon 190. Cleric C1 until Dungeon 175. LOL

Most of DPS class don’t really need Priest buff or Krivis’ Daino. They just gangbang in dungeon. (if you’re still talking about dungeon) INT Healer will make dungeon run faster than buffer with STR based.

But if you’re talking about Earth Tower, that’s another story.

If you want to play Full Healer, go with INT.
Full Support need more SPR but hard to do solo quest. Or you can go hybrid INT and SPR.

Cleric > Priest C3 > Krivis > Druid c2 (3 INT 1 CON 2 SPR)

Cleric > Krivis c3 > Cleric c2 > Druid c2 (4 INT 1 CON 1 SPR)

Cleric c2 > Priest c3 > Krivis > Plague Doctor ( 3 INT 1 CON 1 SPR)

lol, u must have not heard, you dont need str for chaplain. You do the same amount of dmg with spr/int because it scales with asperio, and asperio gets spammed with the chaplain skill, and the asperio scales with spr and int because its magic. It only scales with spr because its in the description. lucky us right? :x

Int does more damage, and scales with healing, but i hear endgame the % of healing is whats going to be doing most of the healing. yippee and all that c:

Also chaplain can solo. Int healer can’t(in your build anyway :x )

Someone with cleric2 and/or mass heal. Having 11 heal tiles or an AoE heal is all you need.

Sounds like “as long as you keep me alive” people don’t seem to care much what build you have.

yep, but I let my party members die sometimes during grinds just to make it fun…

A cleric with a proper class selection.

-Basically i want them to heal properly, so cleric2 is a must.
-Ideally they’d have a decent defensive skill from one of the better circles. (Paladin3, chaplain, diev3, druid2, etc)
-But it should be fine if they’re damage oriented instead to help speed up the run. As most dungeons aren’t that difficult anyway.

Full support clerics are generally just nuisances that don’t contribute towards damage or preventing damage. So that would include @ShyBoo’s build and @kaixermax’s 1st and 3rd build.

Anything, but with Priest C3.

thats me!

My build is a nuisance :worried:

Lol, I’ll change the cleric type “Full Support” to “Nuisance-type”

The nuissaport… nuisport… newsport… newsport?
hut hut hike?

Yeah, all those times auto-finder queued us without a healer in the party, I was like whew, glad to not have a non-DPS nuisance around.

can’t wait to queue

carry me senpai?

Well, it’s what I’m building for. So alright.

I feel as though i’m going to have the worst cleric build out there now

No Gwenyth! Youre awesome! Even if you go Swordie, youd still be the best Cleric. ._.

Going for Aukuras Restoration? If you have the squire yogurt buff, that might get you to a 0 second HP regen tick timer, which could be pretty OP.
