Lol the irony. It’s like how IMC fights inflation by introducing more silver sinks instead of going after the necrobot army.
This place continues to commit fraud.
Here is their latest respond:
Thank you for keeping in touch with us. We understand your sentiments regarding this matter. We will be forwarding this again to the proper department for further verification.
We could only ask for your patience and understanding.
No mention of what verification they are waiting for.
No mention of timeline.
Just more generalities.
This game is an absolute scam.
They are earning themselves more chargebacks by the minute in their fight against chargebacks
What. A. Joke.
hmm, they should stop your purchase of tp if there is spend limit. Allowing to buy tp but cant spend is not logic at all. The stop should at purchasing tp not at spending tp.
I mean one has to ask what is actually wrong with you when they’ve asked you to wait for a couple of days and you constantly keep sending them more messages and contacting them. They have even given reasoning that they’re contacting valve and waiting for a response and it will take some time to process this.
You just keep repeating the same things you said since the beginning totally discrediting any response you received in this thread. Like how about you actually wait for a few days now and lets see what happens then?
I’m not trying to dismiss the issue or anything like that at all but what you’re currently doing is very illogical and you’re not showing any signs of reason.
At this point it just makes you look like a fool. But you do you man.
Holy moly…this thread exploded.
I work in B2B communications, and there are situations where the businesses I communicate with provide a service and due to accounting or verification issues I have to tell them to wait a couple days for payment.
Their response is generally ‘OK that is fine we will follow up in a few days if we don’t hear back from you’.
Ultimately there is zero possibility that IMC will take your money and not provide you with the TP, given enough time. This is akin to a bank holding money from your merchant transactions in a reserve due to fraud screening. It sucks but you do have to give them time to resolve instead of screaming ‘Fraud, fraud!’.
I agree the communications on their steam page need to be clearer, but this is not the way to get your point across in a reasonable manner.
They updated the thread and keep saying nothing.
They are not waiting on anything. They are declining it because the steam account is new and they likely have some kind of thing like “account must be 30 days old” or something like that.
They aren’t clarifying this in specifics because then it would be consumer fraud that they let people purchase something that they can’t use in a specific amount of time.
They are keeping you apprised of the information they do have, which is that it was deferred to Steam for verification. That’s more than many other companies would give you, they are very clearly communication this information to you.
You can’t make accounting departments move. It just doesn’t work that way. Hell, most companies take 4-6 weeks to even process certain types of refunds.
What you are doing right now is quite frankly not normal, and calls into question what you are actually trying to accomplish here.
They told you everything you need to know. There’s nothing else to tell.
Just because you refuse to believe the information provided doesn’t mean that they’re obliged to provide you any specific details. Disclosing any specific detail will also not change the fact that you will have to wait for a few days or that they’re contacting steam about it and there are processes to it.
You’re free to make your assumptions on the situation and do what you do but that doesn’t mean that you are correct on the matter or what you’re doing is benefiting your agenda, whatever that is.
No, they aren’t giving information. Letitita said that “the account must be a certain time passed since first tp purchase.” This sounds like there’s a specific time limit. Tell me the time limit.
If you require steam guard, say that.
If you require anything. Just tell me what it is.
Black Desert Online asked people to submit their drivers license and credit card photocopy. I did it. Problem was solved in 24 hours.
The point is they have anti fraud measures in place and they refuse to say why they are limtiing it. They say they are waiting for authentication. All they need to say is what they need.
- My credit card is verified.
- My steam account is verified.
- My phone number is verified.
All of this is true. But they aren’t revealing that. They aren’t revealing it because in reality, what I suspect is happening, they want a purchase to be at least 30 days old. And they know if they tell me that, I will 100% chargeback. So, they are stringing me along on purpose. That’s why I’m frustrated.
It’s not about account age, it’s about Steam account purchase history. If all you have on there is Black Desert, then yeah, it’s gonna be hard to verify that you’re not someone attempting to do a whole bunch of unsavory things with the TP.
And yet still, they are willing to do that for you. So give them the chance to do so.
What you should have done is sent a ticket to remove your tp spending limit instead of asking for a refund.
Actually, they said that you can request for a refund if you feel that the wait is too long. You know, this is the reason why they can’t tell you everything in detail because you might speculate things. I am not defending IMC, im telling you this as a customer service. Hahaha.
On your next feedback, make sure to clarify your exact request. Just tell them that you want the restriction to be removed and you need time frame. Also, ask them if your request is still possible and can be done in a week. If not, just ask for a refund if you can’t wait for another week.
I…really hope you aren’t serious. Vague replies in my line of work will get you blasted from both your own side -and- the customer’s side. Details, details, details. What went wrong, why is there a delay, how can it be resolved. If the solution is to wait, then an estimated time (even if it is long, 50-60 days) must be given. On top of which, there -are- threads on the forums where people waited a week, filed another ticket, and were told to wait for another vague ‘few days’.
Again, are you serious? Why are you not? Leticia cubes ends in less than a week. I understand if you don’t spend more than 100 to 200 a month, but some of us here spend at least 3600 TP a month.
Actually, what IMC is doing here isn’t normal. Pretty much all the other companies with a spend limit provide a method of bypassing the limit via manual authentication. Be it steam’s community market verification through a number via card statement, or the provision of a scan of your driver’s license / identification.
I did all that dude. I also asked specifically for a refund, and it was declined. They are saying they’d give it here. They told me to contact steam. Steam told me to contact them. They’re scamming ;-).
It’s fine. They know what they did.
What he was pointing out was in his actions regards to how IMC treated him.
Acting unprofessional in business situations doesn’t help his cause, nor does complaining on all platforms where ToS is being discussed. It just makes him look childish and immature, akin to a spoiled brat who wasn’t given what he wanted immediately.
Like this whole thread, for example. This could have been handled way better instead of going boo-hoo where’s my TP!?!? I’ll show you what money can do!?! Oh yes I’ve called everything and now where’s my TP!?
It says a lot about one’s character on how s/he handles themselves on situations where formality is a given.
Fraud is far too easily committed. I’d like to reiterate that I 100% agree that IMC needs to be up front about the spend limit, and a better solution is needed, but also understand fully how frustrating it is for the company trying to do right by their legitimate customers.
I am asking him and not you. I don’t care if you spend at least 3600 TP a MONTH. He is a new player and don’t know anyone here (based on his post). I assume he doesn’t know the prices of those items in leticia cube and what it does. I was just curious about the reason of his action kkk? Why would you check the prices on the market on your 3rd or 5th day in a game. I’d be slaying monsters and getting familiarize with the gameeeeeeee during that timeeeeeeeee.
Also, when a customer service says that he/she is already coordinating your concern to other department after your convo and asked you to wait for the feedback for a few days. Then you just wait. Talking to other department (just like IMC contacting valve) is more annoying than talking to a customer especially if you’re the front liner. The only thing you can do is to make a follow-up (because that’s what they are doing too). Nothing’s gonna change even if you knew what steps they will do or even if you strangle them to death. Because it’s out of their hands and the person you’re talking to is already thinking “ohhh shtttt we fvcked up” and they cant tell that to their customer. Mkkkk? IMC knows that they are at fault here that is why they made an exception for the OP. Well, the OP is at fault also for not researching, but not as much as IMC and steam.
Now that would make me angry too Lol. I feel you now.
Welp, i hope you get that by next week. There are so many event’s next week.
Never played on Steam before. Saw someone streaming ToS on Twitch.
You’re a lying sack of crap. There isn’t a human being on the planet who watches Twitch streams and doesn’t have a Steam account. I’m not sure what the hustle is that you’ve got going on, but I’m glad you’re having problems with it.
His name is mrpaytowin and people are questioning why he bought so much tp after just starting the game and checking the market and such. This thread is a good read.
i play BLack Desert Online. Why are people so shocked? Lol…
