Wabblet's Lvl 200 feedback/class guide =]

Hello there! Once again this will be my guide/feedback for my specific class route and the exp rates for iCBT 2.
Please refrain from asking me questions of another build since I cannot answer to my fullest knowledge without experiencing it. Also, I will not answer any questions regarding our leveling method or how to level faster
Build: C3 Archer C3 Wugushi
Stat build: Full DEX until you feel like you crit mobs 80% of the time around your level (start feeling it at around 120+) then start to pump a little STR to boost the crit damage-but continue to add DEX if you start to feel like you’re critting less.
DON’T YOU DARE PUT POINTS INTO SPR AS YOU WILL GIMP YOURSELF ESPECIALLY ON OFFICAL RELEASE
I’ve stated this in my last feedback in iCBT1 and had a few argument with some randoms regarding putting SPR to support the oblique spam. Just don’t put any points into SPR there is absolutely no need.

If you build your skills correctly (Read skill build section) you won’t ever need SPR as long as you are not cheap on popping pots. Putting points into SPR essentially gimps your character for end game power/health because you were too cheap.
Heres my logic behind it!
Putting points into damage allows you to kill mobs with essentially 1 skill thus allowing you to save mana. If you were to do less damage that pretty much forces you to use another skill to kill the target. So why gimp your damage and use more skills to kill things?
Putting SPR doesn’t scale with Archer in any way-yet putting dex/str have some scaling… so why bother with SPR?
Having the correct damage as an archer is extremely important as it will allow you to grind in certain areas that archer’s shine the most and be able to utilize that grind spot to its fullest potential. We’re talking about leveling up once every 30-45 minute at certain level range/locations.

Skill Build:
C3 Archer: 15/15 Swift Step: It allows you to constantly be on the move while shooting. You have to min-max, every second counts from killing a mob to getting to another pack of mob. You also get 25% crit rate boost from attribute… Just makes you stronger, don’t see why not make it over 125% up time.

15/15 Multi shot: This is your boss/high health mob killing skill. Does a lot of damage, hits multiple times. Nothing much to say lol.

Full Draw: Pretty useless skill for PvE lol you’re better off using Heavy Shot.

Oblique Shot: This is the most important bread and butter skill that needs a lot of explaining, so here goes nothing. You start off 1/15 and eventually 15/15 (For PvE). You want to slowly level up your oblique based on the mana pots you get. Alchemist’s can make pots that can support your oblique shot. The mana pots they make have a 30 CD and practically gives you 2x the amount of mana you get from the NPC mana pots in Fedimian. With level 3 Alchemist SP pot I was able to keep my lvl 10 oblique shot spam 100% of the time. Imagine a level 15 Alchemist SP pot, (rank 8) I’m pretty sure the pot regens your SP faster than you can spend your SP spamming oblique! This also touches upon the topic of putting points into SPR. You don’t need SPR!

Kneeling Shot: No, just no. You are a stationary target for all forms of attack. You sit still to do damage to get exp and then get up and rinse repeat? Put 15/15 swift step and you’re already on your way to clearing the third room while the dude with kneeling shot is setting up his position to clear his second room.

Heavy Shot: Good for PvP. If you want to put a point here, pull it from swift step or oblique. I’d recommend swift step.

Twin Arrows: Useless ability and there are so many other skills that is too good to not max it.

C3 Wugushi:
Detoxify: Useless as of now, but I can see this being important in PvP/PvE when we actually get those content.

Needle Blow: 15/15 Extremely strong ability. If you don’t max this ability you are missing out! Nothing to say except it is really strong lol.

Bewitch: Useful for PvP and PvE but haven’t come across a situation where I needed it.

Wugong Gu: 15/15 Good ability since it spreads to all the other mobs and the infection spreads with practically any form of attack.

Zhendu: Just get 1 point into it for the debuff attribute. Or you can put more to increase the duration. Up to you!

Throw Gu Pot: 10/10 Nothing much to say except it bugs out a lot if you throw it to a different z axis from where you’re throwing it.

Jincan Gu: 1/5 This ability is good but it doesn’t scale at all. Keep it at 1 for an added AoE and bugs that can agro/hold agro/do extra damage.

Class Feedback/Bug report

Archer as a class is one of the weakest, if not the weakest class starting off. It is also EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO UPKEEP AN ARCHER AND HARD TO PLAY. The reason for the difficulty is the stat build. You do not put any points into CON (health) simply because you want to maximize your damage potential. If you happen to die in boss fights or in dungeon it is not because you don’t have enough health, it is because you misplayed, don’t know mechanics thus not adjusting to the fight or you are an overall bad player and you should reroll to something easier. I do no recommend beginners to mmorpg to roll an Archer. I’ve seen enough posts on many different forums of people constantly complaining how Archers are weak and not viable to play, well here is my two cent. Take it as you may.
I do not recommend soloing as an Archer level 1-100 if you want to be remotely competitive in leveling. Go in any form of group (2-3-4-5 man) to help assist with your lack of power until you become stronger.
If you bare through the early levels you will start to notice that your power is slowly becoming OP to the point where you start to do the carrying/bullying. After 100+ its smooth sailing of superior power. Don’t forget you are strong but you also have your weakness! If you solo don’t even think of grinding at the popular high density places because you’ll feel absolutely useless compared to other classes. Think outside the box, create a new grind spot meta… There are many grind spots made JUST for archers that nobody knows. Once you find them, jokes on everyone because they’ll wonder how you got so strong and high level!

Bug report/Feedback: There are a few bugs/issues I’ve noticed while playing my c3 archer c3 wugushi.

  1. Oblique shot: Oblique shot likes to prioritize on tree roots and already dead targets. Oblique shot is a bread and butter skill that costs a lot, having it bug out and shoot a tree root or an already dead for 2 seconds target is extremely detrimental for the class’s strength. Fix oblique shot from shooting already dead targets and tree roots and we’re good!
  2. Multishot: Allow Multishot to penetrate and hit all the targets in the small circle. This allows the Archer class to have a small AoE that isn’t OP but enables Archers to be viable in group situations.
  3. Throw Gu Pot: This pot bugs out so easily when the Z axis it lands is different from the Z axis of where you threw it. Please fix, it is such a huge set back to see one of your strongest skill is stuck because of the terrain.
  4. Jincan Gu: This ability has absolutely no scaling. I’ve gone full dex/int/str and it doesn’t change anything. 1/5 does about 85 dot damage on my tested mob and 5/5 does 100 dot damage. The amount of bugs that come out is the same amount and the damage they do it the same no matter what skill/stat you put. Do something about this ability because currently there is no reason to put more than 1 point into this!

EXP Rates Feedback

The EXP for iCBT 2 feels great! (Not including LA server because it has different rates…?)
I would like to say it was a little too easy and if the rates were lower by just a little it would make it perfect.
Currently getting from 1-200 takes roughly 1 week to 2 week to get depending on your playstyle.
The only issue I have is the amount of planning one would need to successfully lessen the exp “walls” when you hit them. Saving cards and other means, is an extreme min-max high level strategy. A lot of new players that join the game will be discouraged immediately when they hit a huge exp wall and noticed that they suddenly need to grind for 6 hours to gain 1 level because they reached a dead zone where grind spots aren’t as good as other places (Ex. Demon Prison) You need to find a way where even beginners that start the game with no prior knowledge won’t be heavily penalized for not doing hours of research and having prior CBT experience to optimized their routes and being able to improvise with a back-up plan if things don’t turn out the way you want.
If the current biggest exp wall (170ish) is what IMC wants then that’s fine too because it is honestly not hard and pretty easy to grind out. You just gotta think outside of the box to get past the 170ish grind =]. Again, I don’t give secrets or tips. Sorry for the extreme vague hints wink wink.
One last thing, I don’t like how the higher level you get the less attractive it is to continue to level as a group. Can IMC do something about this? It is kind of sad to have to part with your 5 man group and or make smaller groups because the exp gained within a 5 man group is absolutely atrocious.
But other than that I will say what I said in iCBT1, the grind was easy and if you gave up because you hit literally the first hard wall and decided grinding 6 hours for 1 level is too hard shame on you. You know who you are that gave up. I am disappointed in you ;).
P.S. Just to make the whole community paranoid I’ll leave you guys a fun tip for leveling!
Think outside the box, don’t just look for density… (Don’t hurt me Alise for giving an extremely vague tip to the community! :O)

That’s pretty much to this post, if there is anything you’d like to ask feel free to ask and I’ll answer to my best ability if need be.
Again I don’t answer questions regarding other classes and how to level up faster/guide/routes. So please refrain from asking those! =]

EDIT: Btw if you think its hard to read, the format on my word document isnt like this =’[. The forum just kills all my paragraphs, bolds, underlines, indentations. Too lazy to fix it all RIP.

Congratulations on hitting level 200

=] Thanks, it was a lot of fun getting to 200!

Hey, would you mind if I pm’d you if I ever hit a grind wall? (currently level 91, everything has gone smooth  )

You can PM me but no offense, but i will not help nor give you any tips =P. Secrets must remain secrets. If i was to give away our method of leveling then it’ll be of no difference where the current ToS streamers release every little bit of information and then their location get flooded with people.

I have a request.

Post your play time during iCBT2.

Well hopefully someone is able to do a leveling guide when IMC puts more channels for higher level maps :stuck_out_tongue: that way it doesnt matter if a map gets rushed

Hm we all took a vacation to play this game no life for about a week, consider that we also slept for 2-5 hour range a day. You do the math for me. =] Estimate bro!

10 days at an average of 21 hours a day is 210 hours. If you played 5 hours a day, which is a more reasonable amount then 42 days to hit level 200. Out of 600. To reach level 200 in this beta (200 in 30 days), you need to play about 7 hours a day, every single day and you’ll only reach level 200 on the last day of the beta.

The only reason to consider that fast is because you were poopsocking it hard.

Don’t be a little bitch and just tell people. Sharing information is a part of playing MMOs then again no proof and probably used a premade if it was true.

He’s already lying. Speaking like a casual and wants the official to offer the exact same EXP currently is for the Beta.

Also they refused to show the in game record of it let alone all these so called “characters” that they have.

Also wanting 5 man to be more efficient then solo, LMFAO.

Assuming all people in the party are on the same schedule 5 man would be better but if not then solo is faster.

Much appreciate the report. I have a few questions:

  1. Purely from a dps perspective, why do you value dex over str? I’ve read that poisons do not crit and aren’t affected by dex. Is your multishot/autoattack damage just that much more important than wugushi abilities? Would this priorty change if you were to use Viper bow (+350 poison dmg)?

  2. After your experiences, what would be the biggest general (not archer specific) improvements/changes you’d like to see to the game? Eg. stat/skill scaling, more dungeons with better incentives, equipment/gear diversity, etc.

Then we remember that latter levels becomes more and more grinding intensive, and we get to some months to reach 500-600.

But well, we must also remember how much study he had, and how they ajusted a fixed party just for this. Not to say some classes have a hard time looking for pt’s (archers are an example actually) and some guys like to play alone. So, for people who don’t have friends here, and supposing the exp grows at a similar pace to the last levels, how much time do they need to reach max level? around 6-10 months?

Just for one character.

The rates are… amazing! =D

  1. Dex allows more crit and Swift step further enchances the potential damage. Having a high crit chance allows you to crit kill (1 shot) certain mobs to efficiently farm locations and get extreme amount of exp.
Poisons do no crit but because they dont crit doesn’t mean you should go full STR to boost the dot damage. It’s already plenty strong from just putting some STR and the skill points.
Multishot is a “Filler” type ability after you have put all your dots onto a boss.
You dont really auto attack as an C3 Archer C3 Wugushi. Your auto attack is replaced by Oblique shot. Of course you do auto attack but not as much =P. I wouldn’t say one is more important than another, its just they are all strong and you should use it all.
For the Viper bow, i cant say much because i haven’t tested it yet. I want to but its hard to find and its really expensive to purchase from the AH. When i get one i will be able to give you a proper response!

  2. The biggest changes i’d like to see is definitely dungeons atm. From the level 50 to 200 you have a potential to get Talt that sells for 5k. It doesn’t change at all. Running a high level dungeon actually makes you lose money! (Because repair fee/pots/etc)

Stat/skill scaling i dont really have any issue with it atm. Pretty standard stuff. Other than that im pretty satisfied with iCBT 2. If this was release and most of the really popular bugs are fixed then the game is good to go :stuck_out_tongue:

What might i be lying about? I dont quite get what you’re trying to say…

Also i never said “5 man to be more efficient then solo”. I clearly stated its just not as good and wish its better. If you actually played the game rather than sit in the forums trying to post useless stuff you’d actually know how bad it really is.
We’re talking about a 5 man grind at 170+ can take 8 hours to level once and a solo will take 3-4 hours. The difference is too great.

If you like being kirito1000, you should get used to leveling at a lower pace than a party player.

Proof is hard, now go away child.

i dont know why people are QQing about this thread. envy kills.
i saw your screenshot in reddit with 2 of your party mates. thanks for the feedback tho it doesn’t really help me at all cause im a support cleric player (maybe you have some friend who hit max with cleric/support char that can give us a guide or two about it. ). but still, its nice to see max player never forgetting to give guides.

=] I tried to give as much info as i can in terms of my class! I mean this is a class guide not a leveling guide LOL.
