Unofficial Rogue Nerf Megathread + Class Discussion

Hi would like some some advice on make a archer
i wanna get musket last and rogue

will A3 / scout/ rogue C2 / musket good?
or A/ Q3 /scout /rogue / musket?

and for stat points wise what’s the best distribution i’ve been searching alot and can’t find a good ratio many people say different things, 1str - 1dex? or dex more or str more,

ps i am not so hardcore so going all out for the best weapons isn’t really what i do

Rogue class is usually taken so that you can get away with low dex and maximize str.

thoughts on this build?

A1 > R1 > Sap C2 > Rogue > Falc > Cannoneer
or is it gonna be a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none build?

also is going A1 > R3 > Rogue > Fletcher 2 viable?

the first one looks good
it’s the same that i’ll make in the future

my only concern is the leveling part. you would still rely on ranger and sapper’s aoe skills even at rank 5 and 6 right? doesnt that make leveling so much a drag since falc doesnt have much damaging skills?

you will be fine with ranger/rogue combo
along with sapper’s aoe
leveling rank 5 to rank 6 is one of worse thing to do on this game(i have to do that as an archer c2/hunter c3) :sob:

is the circling really worth it? the time you spent from rank 1 to rank 4 or 5 may be just the same amount of time you’ll be spending leveling from rank 5 to 6.

it is
you will be using hovering for utility/damage too

@tonyostark
A1 > R1 > Sap C2 > Rogue > Sc > Cannoneer
(this is one of my option for my next roll)
I think you can replace Falconer to Scout as it will be really “jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none build”

As you already have hard-AoE which is the broom trap(x2) and feint+barrage combo which (I think) is enough to help your party, so imo no need to debuff it with circling and instead get defensive skill like cloak/camouflage as it will also gives you potential to go PvP.

The only problem I see on this build is:
You will not have the spam filler as F3 and Sc3 have
Might not get cubes on WB

what about fletcher 1 just for ease of leveling and some fillers with decent dps? do barrage and boom trap scale well at higher levels since they are skills from lower ranks?

Its really up to you, its possible but its not recommended.

Barrage still can do decent on higher levels but not as OP as in lower ranks.
For boom trap I haven’t really tried, but since it is sustain DPS for 15secs, well I guess its enough to do “enough” damage.

in pve i agree its really helpfull… but gvg or pvp its not so good…

  • people can see u when u walk.
  • some skills are seeing when charging.
  • in gvg its almost impossible to get close to the enemies, cause they are always using AOE skills.

the only use i can do with it on GVG its for doing spy things, but i need to keep a long distance.

also… if u are killing a boss and u go invi, the boss imediatelly starts regen his hp.

I use cloaking in GvG and duels all the time. But then again, my build is for long range sniping and taking out people from long distances.

Cloaking pretty much gets cancelled as soon as you take damage, so going melee range is pretty much a bad idea, as you get exposed to AoE and random damaging things when you’re in that range.

have you ever pvp with scout c1 ?
cloaking is one of the best tool in pvp, without cloaking archer almost a dead meat in every type of battle (2v2, 5v5, gvg)

Does anyone around here knows if the Bleeding from Backstab gives any damage? Cause you see, it often results in bleeding but the bleeding doesn’t seem to give any damage to the monster.

BTW, 5sec/10sec bleeding is barely enough for Vendetta to charge, it is quite disapointing.

The bleed ticks at a default 100% attack modifier per 2s. It does say that it ticks faster though if the enemy moves but I didn’t do any in-depth tests for that. It’s really disappointing anyways.

Correction. Movement amplifies the damage.

I just realized something, I guess I didn’t read enough or didn’t pay enough attention. Backstab doesn’t give Bleeding, it just stuns enemies and the Massive Bleeding attribute only works if the enemy is already bleeding.
Now the thing is, I don’t have any Bleeding skill for the Backstab/Vendetta combo.

:weary:

Just pick Fletcher lol.

Im in the same problem.

I can’t do that, that would mess my already messed build (archer c2>ranger c2>rogue c2) even more, gonna try and work with Lachrymator and see what happens.
But I’m thinking about doing another char just to try it out in the future and I would probably pick Fletcher as you said.
