Unofficial Rogue Nerf Megathread + Class Discussion

My sustained DPS as a A3>s1>R2>Musk is actually fine. I spam twin arrows after blowing my 3 musketeer skills, Covering Fire > Headshot > Snipe> Twin arrow(overheat) >covering fire >headshot> twin arrow> Snipe.

It’s pretty much a rotation where all my cooldowns are covered. Although, my build isn’t really for PvE. In duels and GvG I pretty much just headshot snipe anyone and they are dead. Since it’s an instant 40k-ish damage.

@CM_Tatsuya You’ll be fine with A3, twin shot is one of the better archer skills in the game.

@liaght01 can you tell me what skill you learn at Rogue C2?

My rogue skill are purely utility. Lachryma pretty much disables all skills against you as long as they are within the smoke - or if they’re melee, just stay inside your own smoke.

@Dream I want to go scout>rogue2>cannon. Currently i’m A2>R1, but as i’m progressing later into the game i’m noticing mobs tend to hit alot harder. Having to be up close with feint+barrage means i’m taking more damage. It’s great burst potential, but it also comes at a pretty hefty cooldown making it clunky to use. I can down anything really quickly with a feint+barrage positioned from behind but after blowing my load, theres alot of downtime.

After re-evaluating my build i feel like A3 offers more consistency with twin arrows @ overheat of 5 and cd of 7. Plus, you can use it from a longer distance over different scenarios which makes it alot safer for a high str archer which i am going for. Despite it being single target only, i’m thinking at least rank7 into cannoneer will give me some aoe.

What are your thoughts on A3 twin arrows vs A2>R1 with barrage? My main concern is that some bosses pulse out damage consistently and getting in to do the combo gets risky and i end up taking more damage, or suffer downtime having to wait for their attack animations to finish before moving in. I was thinking twin arrows would be more consistent, sustained long distance damage.

Edit: Plus, more hits on multishot is nice. If someone else has aggro MS becomes a 18sec cd 3000% modifier with crit as well, coupled with increase movespeed from swiftstep

This only applies especially when you solo alot. Def is also a huge factor, for example, my Rogue C3 before was using full Roxona Plate Armor set but I downgraded it back to Cafrisun. From my experience using full plate, I don’t get damaged much by Marionette’s cyclone attack but after downgrading it again back to Cafrisun, I literally die just from 1 cyclone attack of Marionette.

Upgrading armors scales very well. So just imagine at end-game when you finally managed to get an armor set you can upgrade, the added def from enhancing will drastically improve your survivability.

It is also possible to have very high evasion with proper gears and min-maxing. High DEX was never needed to get very high evasion, I even managed to pull off a 500 evasion on a Wizard I made back on CBT2 with just proper min-maxing. It would be alot easier with an Archer.

It seems you have picked the wrong class in the first place as going in close with the enemy doesn’t suit your playstyle. I have experienced game content up to Lv252 (stopped cause waiting for a friend) and I have yet to experience problems when going melee at times ESPECIALLY with this dumb AI in-game.

[/quote]Multi-Shot also has a long cast time especially at Lv15 which makes the damage increase questionable. Honestly, even now my lowest priority is to use Multi-Shot due to cast time, it just doesn’t synergize with Sneak Hit unless someone else has the aggro, a quite rare scenario.

I do need the sustained DPS coming from Twin Shot but I rather invest first on Ranger than Archer C3 as Barrage is also AOE which is badly needed in this game. Lv15 Swift Step is nice and all but honestly, the only thing I need from Swift Step is the crit rate boost, the evasion is just a bonus.

Ah, so my build is fine then? You misunderstand me, i dont mind getting up close and personal. I’m just afraid that the situation might not permit it sometimes. Getting one shot by bosses when i’m moving up to barrage is no fun. But if you say armour makes that much of a difference then i’m relieved, as i’m still in quest armor

i agree with everunthing, well done… thats all!

also… invisible from scout is a lame skill… every single skill that u use, like full draw, people can see u.

theres a lot of problems with invisible skills in this game.

yeah, i mean i just realized it just now by playing my own character builds.
I mean it really is up to you to get used what you’ve done to your character my friend is so jealous when he sees my Twin arrows one shotting every mob in the map. (mostly) oh and also i really like the Flare shot so i maxed it. yes, it has a low range of aoe damage but it’s really fun to use

I have only encountered this issue once, and even after they noticed me casting full draw, my arrow was already set loose and they’re skewered for 15 seconds.

I then just proceed to headshot snipe the target and kill them. Unless they’re a warlock, those bishes are OP. They block all physical skills with those rotating balls.

after read all message i guess backstab suck really !

better to go another class than rogue C2 ?
im Ac1-> Rang C3-> RogueC1 i m enjoying the combo steady aim+feint+barragelvl 15

But what class after ?
Schwarzer Reiter seem really weak !
Falconer ? dont know this class
Scout for pvp rank 1 then go musketeer or cannoner ?

Fletcher(i have alrdy a C3 flect
wugu(im making a arch3wuguC3 alrdy

thx for help

A>R3>Ro>Sc>R7 should work for you, since you can also steal your own Flare shots from Rogue.

why decided to roll for A>R3>Ro?

How’d you find Fletchers?

i like archer ^^ so i make some different !

fletcher is Ok but sometimes i find this class boring.
the funniest archer class for me is Wugu!

Sc = scout i suppose !
better than falconer ?

Yes, Scout then R7

Falconer is also ok if you focus on PvE because of Circling which supports other class. But I heard that circling + barrage is not good combo.

What’s your Fletcher path?

just because they have high block rate. Those balls do nothing with blocking physical attacks :smile_cat:

common path !!

They block attacks, we’ve tested numerous times. The arrows stick to them and rotates around the warlock. It’s the black flaming ball skill that looks like a demon. It blocks ranged physical attacks.

IMO scout’s skills aren’t as bad as that, maybe as just what others said it just doesn’t suit your playstyle.

Cloaking helps me a lot in terms of mobility and safety (e.g. when im almost dying when bossing, killing mobs)

and also Flare shot’s kinda fun to use… i just lure mobs put flare shot in the middle then i just run around it, mobs dying while doing that LoL

or when bossing i just put flare shot below the boss’s. also planning to use Double Flare shot when i reach the Rogue class hopefully tonight, yeah i know i’m a slow player because i dont have enough time because i have work >.<

How bout Archer c2? don’t like/need the Swift step crit. attribute?

for rogue C1 then scout C1

what skill needed rogue?
feint lvl 5
sneak hit lvl5
capture lvl 1
vendetta lvl 4 ?

and scout ?
cloaking lvl5
flare shot lvl 5
camouflage lvl4
fluflu lvl 1 ?

thanx you

I don’t have actual Rogue, so my experience is just through reading forums almost everyday. haha but if i’m going to create one:

Rogue
Feint 5
Sneak hit 5
Capture 1
Vendetta 0 - as i heard the skill sucks (?)
so save 4 pts, until the capture can be fixed (capturing 5 enemy circles which anyone doesn’t have idea how does this skill works at lvl5)

Scout - Correct
Cloak 5
Flare 5
Camouflage 4
FluFlu - use to lure / semi-CC
