Unfairness of EXP and Drop distribution

I’m pretty sure a lot of people are absolutely tired of spending potions and time pulling and killing enemies only for someone else to come and kill them, and take all the loot from them, potions are expensive in the early game and the exp curve is not so smooth, so these situations make the game much more painful to play.

Money, Items and EXP should be rewarded accordingly to the damage done to the enemies, and not just who did the last hit, it’s either that or simply implement a system where people can’t attack other people targets unless they’re in party or it’s a boss, as some games do.

It shouldn’t be a problem if the community wasn’t so bad that it can’t respect their fellow players (by just doing AFK farm or actively KSing their mobs), but as it is, it’s awful, and only make the game become a tiring experience.

umm u do know who ever does the most dmg gets the the most exp and loot when it comes to mobs.Cause lots of times ive last hitted other people mobs and dident get much exp like 10 or so lol so yea

Whoever does the last hit gets the money and loot though.

yup. was killing a blue monster the other day and did a good 90% of the damage when a random player came by just to whack it and steal allll the exp from it. so ridic :horse:

blue monsters are the only one where if u last hit it u get all the exp xD

just tested this out real quick, you definitely get exp based on how much damage you do to a mob even if you don’t get the killing blow, I don’t know what you’re talking about. even blues split as far as I know, a big red kepa spawned as blue for me earlier, I only got a few hits on it and someone else got killing blow and I still got a ton of exp.

Then the tests are inconsistent since I also had multiple occasions on which exp was determined by last hit, but others where it might be split (cfr. next sentence)
Some blues give 100x exp and others give 50x for some reason, but that might be because of level difference. (tested on lvl 12 vubbe thief[100x] and lvl 30 panto [50x]) I was level 27

Did you go out a deliberately test this? because I did, I spent hours tagging mobs and letting other people kill them in a couple places and I never had all the exp stolen by someone taking the killing blow, that’s just not how it works. It is possible that blue regular mobs don’t split exp for some reason, I was unable to find one in the last couple hours of beta, But field boss blues do, so it would be really weird for that to work differently for the two things. This is yet another post where any kind of official statement from IMC would be great, but they don’t seem to want to say anything.

Always hated this kinda system in mmorpgs I would rather see one like in GW2 where players get the exp and both get loot from attacking the same mob.

Make the game pk everywhere and let’s see how quickly people repect boundries xD!

IMC likes KSing because “it’s part of a MMO” in their opinion. I doubt they will make changes to it.

But KSing was a big problem cause people were stockpiled in certain areas.
Once players are more spread out across the level-zones and if there are more channels, then this shouldn’t be a big problem anymore.

Exp, yes. Drops? Hell no. Else, I’d get quest kills counted as well as lots of silver and panto horns. Bringing a mob down to low HP only for the kill to be snatched away by some random player (mostly archer) is annoying. It should be given to the one who dealt the most damage as well, as I posted here.
