Tree Of Savior Review (Level 280), TL;DR Trash game

Same shitty as always.

The most fun fact is to read here guys comming from B&S and crying about bots, hacks, goldseller, fps issues, bad lore. Those guys sure played B&S? Because those were the same problem there… And guess what? It’s STILL the problem there.

So, do us a favor and try to show real problems into the game. Bots, goldsellers and hacks are in EVERY GAME (From WoW to Black Desert. If you never saw one, kill yourself). FPS issues are the problem with every new MMO. Bad lore is the same shitty that say that you don’t love romantic books or criminal cases. It’s just your taste.

The only real problem that I can really point is the mobs spawn rate. It would be better to increased the respawn and lower to the ground the exp, if it was to just hold us back. Like 1% per hour. I really want those old days that was needed days to get just one level. But guess what? The community would complain in the same way. So, who cares about mine, or the op, shitty opinion?!

Honestly, even if his points are true, the way he comes off and talks about people is disgusting. Just because you don’t like a game doesn’t mean you get to criticize the people who do enjoy it. Keep comments like that to yourself because it is not wanted or needed. It made your entire post laughable and I doubt anyone will take it seriously, not like it matters at this point anyway.

Who here remembers when Ragnarok Online was released? According to Google, it’s 2002. The standards were completely different then, and what was deemed ‘quality content’ was different from now. ToS is trying too hard to not try hard at all. Perhaps they’re correct, since they’re the ones riding sportscars on the backs of all you plebs who can’t help but make excuses for them every time someone writes a convincing review.

How many months- no, YEARS has this game been in development? How much is there to show for it? If you weigh those two together you will see that there is pretty much ■■■■ all that this game offers for anyone who has seen it all already. This game isn’t even half the game other games on the market are, even at launch. Don’t give me that “oh but they’re indie developers” crap because it’s not like they don’t have money to hire people who can do the job right with all the money you guys have thrown at them. That is also pretending that they don’t have another cash cow that has been going for around a decade in the form of Granado Espada.

Wake up, sheeple. OP’s review is completely correct, and no matter how many times you write “well cya” it wont affect how true his points are. He was planning to leave without you saying so, since the game is so garbage. Saying “find real things to get mad at the game for” is proof of how desperate half of you are to say that this game is holy sh``it, since you are blatantly ignoring the glaring issues.

You guys can have hurt feelings about these bad reviews all you want. It doesn’t stop them from being true. lol

you’re absolutely correct about everything. but you still sound like a little b t c h.

I’m not acting like a White Knight here. My point is, we should just wait, we aren’t obliged to play this game. If they don’t fix this issues, I will quit as well, but IMO, this game is far from finished.

Fully release in Korea for months, and how that turned out? A disaster. kToS is empty, no one plays anymore, because the game wasn’t finished when they released.

The main issues for me are: FPS, lack of balance between classes, spawnrate sux. We will see how much endgame content they release. People are impatient and they will quit the game eventually, just look at what happened with Archeage for example.

edit: After reading your changes in your post, I do agree that Bosses and World Bosses aren’t challenging and should be worked on. Right now, mobs > bosses. It doesn’t make sense ;D

I do agree with the points…BUT…

This game is rly in early stages so you shouldn’t think about it as a finished game. Although I know and do agree that there is a high standard for games nowdays and even new games have to adapt to that to be able to compete with others.

That’s a reason why I’m concerned about ToS too.

But unlike others I think this game has a much better and stronger core than other games nowdays and with time it could be one of the best games out there…we just don’t know if it will have enough time to become that… I hope so.

I played with BnS btw…and that game sux… that is as generic as any other lame games in the last years. Hell I didn’t even enjoyed it as much as Dragon Nest…and I’m not a fan of that one either.

Anyway what I’m actually most concerned from the points of op is Boss fights… None of the others are as big issues as that.(maybe bots…but they are rly in every game…and I dunno how could it be solved)

Bosses should be much more challanging…and I don’t mean they should one-shot us…or their HP should last for ages…
But rly more tactics should be when we fight against them. I hope this can become better too later.

As a level 270 myself, I can confirm most of what he’s saying is true. Especially the gameplay part.

The only boss I remember is Poata.

PROS

  1. I agree, IMC has done quite a bit for us.
  2. Love it, i still cant get enough, I appreciate how they worked with SoundTEMP to get some of that sweet music from the old days.

CONS

  1. I think IMC is working on this, as a company not as large as Blizzard they can’t, finx this issues as they are plagued with them. Blaming them is as crude and ridiculous as blaming the cops for the amount of crime going around. We all know there’s more to it.

  2. Agree. Mechanics are simple and accessible to casuals. Then again aren’t all games supposed to be so? The animation looks very simple from the get go. I don’t know what you expected with the way the game is animated, designed and explained.

  3. God yes, please IMC. Please.

  4. Sad to read that. I havent been around that long to get even to level 100 (Started on day 1 but barely get ot level and play)

  5. Agree. I don’t know who designed this, but as previous MMOS have proven to me. Game design is at an all time low for Korea. I haven’t seen an MMO from Korea with a good storyline. (Pardon me if this seems offensive or labeling. This is only my experience)

  6. Eh, I think you’re expecting too much of a game like this.

  7. IMC, Make enemies more complex, for fawks sake.

  8. Havent got there, no idea. Sad to read this.

  9. IMC can’t control the game as is with their servers as flawed and small as they are. I gope someday they will have enough money to fix this.

Overall. I think you do realize this game needs improvement, we all do. But your judgement of simple aspects like the aesthetics of characters and some of the mechanics are too early to judge so hard.
Good luck on finding a better MMO out there, it’s a barren land out there.

Holy Chronocentrism Batman.

It is like you are forgetting that RO got 50-60 scores across the board and was generally regarded as ■■■■. I will say the same thing I said to those people back in RO days.

If the game is so garbage, then gtfo. Less noise, and no one will miss you. Run along.

Have to agree with some of the points made, although the OP didn’t really have to post it in such a… negative way. Still like the game though and hopefully it improves over time, can’t please everyone sadly. :frowning:

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

  1. RMT’ers trade talt to their buyers and they sell it to NPC for 5k each, while the rest of the legit playerbase in the game suffer from restrictions… yeah IMC’s approach at dealing with the situation was very poor and frustrating, it will no doubt kill their game

  2. I too can’t stop laughing at the amout of idiots on this forums coming up with these ridiculous builds… their theory on how skills work from the beginning to end game is usually false, and they come back to the forums to complain about underpowered job classes vs the overpowered ones… no every job is equal its just either the completely f%^& up their stat distribution, or they just choose random circles as they go by and by the time they hit 170ish they realize they have absolutely no synergy and constantly have to switch weapons to pull off AoE’s and rebuff

  3. it was much better in iCBT… idk what the hell happened! it seems every maintenence, the server performance and fps gets even worst

  4. no. the developers outsourced the quests and translation files to the community via github

  5. couldn’t be any worst than Elder Scrolls Online… you can be level 1 ~ 10 wearing tattered leather armor, and then be veteran 1 ~ 10 wearing tattered leather armor with rusted pieces of iron plating sticking out the shoulders

  6. I found that every boss was easy except necroventer, even at high levels that thing hits a fair amount of damage

  7. I could rant all day about a particular group of “elitists” camping dullahan 24/7 and making cube unboxing videos just to show off

  8. This never really bothered me but I see topics about it all the time

I find that this game is much more similar to Secrets of Solstice / Final Fantasy Tactics and not Ragnarok Online.

I don’t get how a person can play a game for hundreds of hours and then say it is the worse thing ever. It I s madness. Clearly this guy found the game enjoyable at some point or he would have stopped playing long before he reached 280. It is not like they added some controversial game breaking feature yesterday or something to merit such a response. This person seems deeply disturbed and is going through some kind of post relationship hate for something he use to love. The funny thing is it isn’t a woman is acting so irrational over but a MMORPG.

People get to endgame for an early access niche MMO and expect WoW-Level content.

I heard Ragnarok failed with 3rd Jobs released but I unno.

Tell that to people playing MOBAs.

OP Master Baiter:

do you remember the kid that tried to shove a keyboard up his bum because his parents wouldn’t let him play WoW? same logic applies. or the lack of.

The points made ring true, but most people (including myself) do not like to see a game in which he/she enjoyed bashed into the ground. All we can do is hope for IMC to slowly fix the flaws, and if not, well ■■■■.
