Tree of Savior Forum

Tree of savior is a casual game. Hakkyu Kim interview:

For those “hardcore players” who think that circle reset, cleaner dungeon item, and cross server queue, will “ruin” your “hardcore game”. Just a printscreen for reflection. I guess it’s not the devs that are doing the wrong things, but you that have chosen the wrong game for your gaming style.

that was an old post

Is there any current pronunciation from tos ceo that contradicts it? If there is, you are welcome to post here, because I searched but didn’t found any :X

A grindy game with 600 levels and 80 classes isn’t a definition of “casual”. Maybe for Koreans, I dunno :smirk:.

It was bad put in the interview, he meant it is casually hardcore lol.

I guess the current level cap is 280, and it only depends if you want to reach max level in one week or enjoy the game in a long term. Anyway, what I observed is that one thing that most bored players was the linear path, and the extensive grinding. So what they are trying to do is respond these feedbacks and make the game better for the majority.

They are planning like 600 levels and 10+1 ranks. This is a hell of a grind. Also the current maximum is 330 in Korea.

Some players like it.

filthy casuals ruining my hardcore mmorpg gaming experience

Lol the troll master.

Casually Hardcore, that’s the kind of gamer I am. Got hours under my belt 2500+ to be exact, but…I could give two craps about META, or being the best their ever was, to catch them, is my real test, to train them is my…

sorry got off topic. Most of the casual types ala WoW players that I know aren’t particularly thrilled with this game as it is to grindy and or what have you.

Honestly, I don’t see why the rush to get to end cap anyways. There is really no end game content atm regardless, and you can’t really call something end game til, well, end game. (600 cap). Yes, I know there is ET, but I don’t consider that end game. I find PvP more of an end game than that.

Daym cazuls!

You may call me MASTER.

Casual Game 100% No Doubt :raised_hands: :sunglasses:

As I said before, for those who want to pass a good time having fun, and making friends the game is nice. But for those who wants to turn it in a competition of who has less social life, and explore all game content in 1 month, the game must be disappointing.

I imagine IMC wanted ToS to be a casual game but screwed up so badly that it ended up being “hardcore”. That’s a pretty epic fail.

i dont see how level cap and monster HP have to do with causal or hardcore
i mean this game doesnt require your exceptional positioning, it doesnt require any perfect skill rotation
the PVP is poorly create, the GVG is also poorly create
TOS is the most causal MMO i have ever play tbh

Lol you want look like that? Comen jajajaj

Or at least sound like him.

Game is pretty casual, my fiancee who also plays this is doing pretty well at level 273, and she only really just begun playing MMORPGs and didn’t really play games other then Candy Crush.

The hardcore peeps must be pretty new to gaming or something, hardcore to me was if you died in a huge and long sprawling dungeon because the game decided to throw something several levels above you at random or because you didn’t have enough disease/poison potions. All your gear was likely gone or stolen from someone else and you were set back a few levels.

But everything’s relative.
