Trading Restrictions - STOP TREATING EVERYONE LIKE CRIMINALS

Yeah dude this is the sad part of the game for f2p aka founders exclussive access 3 pack (aside from party bots and spammers): cannot trade, cannot use your own account storage (team storage) without a token, a whopping 30% commission on market WTF!, retrieving of an item or silver in the market 2 days waiting time WTF!. selling 1 item at a time… WTF! sorry, /sry… /swt. I hope IMC will change this, yeah… I hope :disappointed::disappointed::disappointed:

.**.

I’m one of the people who wants this game to be b2p but I agree with your statement no one is f2p right now everyone paid tokens worth of money, this game feels like it’s under martial law. I agree that it’s stupid and crazy that token buyers are limited to trading and so are f2p players. tbh the 30% exp is enough for me too buy a token, I honestly think that the +3 movement speed and team storage access for token users is bull crap . team storage should be accessible even to f2p players at least limited the size of the storage , not letting them access is pretty harsh

I’m not reading his posts anymore. Too much time wasted.

lol, this thread had so much insult.
to people who said “if you dont like go play other game”
let me say, people complaining because they like this game, or else they wont even bother.
for me i can say, even they lower the restriction, i still felt like they “crippled” this game so much, and its get frustrated.
even they said the restriction actually to fight gold seller, but i think, its just to make token more favorable by players.
i think they should create some feature that available only to token, but definitely not a “trade” feature.
ie: only token player can build a home and craft furniture for the home, those furniture can grant you a buff that last for few hours if you use it.

Yikes, I’m about to head off for the day so I’ll reply quickly :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. We both agree that the strategy prevents the bot/gold seller to be delayed. This doesn’t remove the issue, it simply delays the issue. Not much different than allowing no waiting period. In fact, the bots/gold sellers probably don’t even care.

  2. I don’t quite understand how this prevents people from dominating the market. It’s dominated by a select group: Token users, and gold sellers. If you can elaborate on how it prevents domination, I would like to be convinced.

  3. Thank you for letting me know about this. I will rephrase my statement then: Rebalance the gold sinks, lol.

  4. Right now, buying silver is cheaper than buying the Founders Pack on Steam lol. Anyway, as I mentioned, if we had a good economy, we would have less silver-buyers. It’s how these games work.

  5. I wish IMC, for ToS, would not be F2P too. If it gives me more freedom, I wouldn’t mind. And it weeds out some unwanted players. Regardless, even in games that aren’t F2P, there are bots lol.

  6. I didn’t want to go into detail regarding this. Their bot detection strategy is completely barbaric, you can’t deny this. I’m not asking them to do anything advance, but IMC should consider looking to their RO senpais. I don’t have to say more, because anyone that knows a bit of how online games function should understand. If you have nothing constructive to say, lets move on.

  7. Why the heck should I have to make a new character? You totally supported my point; If I can just make another character to list more items, why not just let me list more items on my 1 character haha.

  8. “No,” was not constructive at all. Your opinion is appreciated, but you haven’t convinced me.
Maybe it’s because you’re a “noob weak and poor casual gamer” that you are spending all of your silver on Tokens…? xD We all spend it on attributes, enhancing, taxes, and cute hats.

  9. Check my above post lol.

  10. The Token is complicated but if it was adjusted, and made untrade-able, I wouldn’t mind.

Sorry if my response is a little unclear.

You know that gold sellers are in every game and gold buyer too?
This is obviously not the good option. They should limit the number of trade not the trade

I can farm money for hours while my boyfriend cannot, but I cannot give money to him, and i cannot give him item to finish the fed quests since they limit our trade to 30 for 30 days, so I can trade him once a day, but there are five quests, so I can only help him for just one quest. Think as a party helping other ppl quest but cannot because of the trade restriction.

This brings me back to my original response, which is that IMC is sitting there investigating accounts manually. IMC also announced that this type of bot-cleaning is troublesome–but it feels like IMC imagines this being the only way. If IMC was really utilizing their technology, or had experienced staff, this wouldn’t have to take 2 days. Related to that matter, it shouldn’t take 24 hours to transfer teams to a different server, lol.

It doesn’t even seem like IMC is trying. They sit there scanning a list of reported bots, then tell us about it every time they ban a small fraction of the huge amounts that they’ve overlooked. I would even support them using Game Guard, and I think Game Guard is terrible but that is better than what they’re doing now. Game Guard is at least an obstacle, but right now, anyone could use a bot immediately.

I’m familiar with this. But this can easily be fixed if IMC knows where to approach it. Basic high school economics.
As for physically preventing people from building an economy at all…IMC is being heavy-handed.

No? You disagree that having a good economy would lessen the amount of people buying silver? I didn’t say it would erase all silver-buyers, but it would have a lot less. Potential silver-buyers would start to feel that it would be better to just list their old equipment on the market, or make trades with people for the item that they want(rather than buy it with silver).
Are you saying that we should leave the economy as it is, and allow gold-sellers to continue to exist? Let us continue to sit on our bums as IMC does while they scan the list of reported bots again, lol. Get a snack because it will be a while.

Why are you comparing this game to another terrible company? Please have a little more optimism!
I mentioned Game Guard above. Not bad for weeding out these simple, buggy bots that IMC is struggling to get rid of. We’re fighting the dumbest bots right now, and IMC has their hands full over them. It’s disapointing, to put it nicely lol.

This still leads back to my original point and suggested solution. I didn’t say “ALLOW UNLIMITED LISTINGS!!!” I suggested that they increase the available listings. Say I can list 5 things, and I make 2 additional characters just for the sake of selling on the Auction House; that’s 15 listings. Why not just allow 15 listings to begin with–that way, I wouldn’t have to make 2 additional characters just to list more items.

Hm. Seems like you’re hoarding the Tokens and causing them to inflate in price, lol.
Everyone plays in their own style, as long as they’re having fun. I want to get to higher levels so I can explore more maps, and experience different Instances–since that’s a lot more fun that general questing, and really the only real time anyone cares to party.

In addition, I’d like to mention that I play on Klaipedia. I don’t know if we’re on the same server, but I speak for the experience on Klaipedia.

IMC system is so good that they have a ton of negative feedback on steam but when you login in the game the first thing you see in cities is gold seller’s bots. laughs

I really want to, lol. if I can find a way to approach them professionally, I will certainly do it.

If I’m understanding correctly, you believe the restrictions are necessary to prevent market-control. However, you still understand that it exists(I’m speaking for Klaipedia, sorry).
In contrast, I think the restrictions punish the fair-playing players, and any attempt at controlling the market can be fixed by IMC–without adding these restrictions. In this case, only if market-control becomes a problem, should we see any acts to combat this. My perspective holds more faith in the players.

Now is there any better solution between our arguments? In my opinion, I want to have more faith in the players since a lot of us aren’t botters.

We also have two perspectives to this.
For me, I believe that by improving bot detection strategies, it would prevent the amount of bots collecting silver. This would replace the 2-day restriction. I feel that it is wrong that I should wait, just because bots ruined the Auction House for me. Furthermore, with a new bot detection system, this would either completely remove the bot immediately, or create an obstacle. With the 2-day waiting period, it takes up to 2 days for an investigation(only if IMC gets around to investigating the account within that time), so they will get banned by IMC [manually, once again lol] or IMC might not have the time to look into it. By having it be automated would save IMC a lot more time, and reduce the amount of unhappy Auction House users.

I understand the concept behind the 2-day restriction now that you’ve pointed it out, but I would have never imagined its intended purpose because I think it’s time-consuming and archaic. As you said, nothing is impossible; IMC needs to see that technology can do more for them, even if it results in resorting to something like Game Guard.

Then you agree, that the market should be changed?

I guess I should have been more precise in my words; I meant to say that comparing Trion’s anti-bot to ToS’s anti-bot(not existent; players manually report bots in-game or through forum, and they look through a list and investigate).
As I mentioned above, this is time-consuming and archaic. It’s barbaric. Computer Cavemen did this back in 1998. We both agree that computers can do more–IMC needs to agree with us. Implement a more automated system that saves all of us time. I’m not saying leave it at that though, but it will be a big step forward.

Regarding Tokens…
5-10 is not bad, I guess. But can you see why 1 for Non-Token users would make people upset? Combined with the 48 hours of waiting after starting the game, plus the 48 hours after selling an item–just 1 item.
Now that I mention it, I hope that my Auction House listings aren’t counting down during maintenance |:
Furthermore, I think there are ways to make Token more appealing rather than hammering down the amount of listings for Non-Token users, just so that Token users can have more listings–but not an excessive amount.

Maybe both.
In Klaipedia, the prices for Token change as fast as a woman’s emotions during her week of menstruation.

I’ll buy some varv skin for my beetlback on character #1. When i want to transfer to character #2 where recipe exists and… cant? So i try to transfer recipe and… cant? I cant make damn shield!
I even didnt understand why IMC do that ■■■■. Can anyone explain?

But i buy recipe 2 week ago before last patch release. At that day i can trade without restriction. Anyway… I ask about “why IMC implement that”. If items become untradeable, we want to buy more tookens? No. This protect from goldselers? No. So… Why?

Thread super derailed, but nonetheless, the trading restrictions are ridiculous. I should be able to swap silver between characters more easily, trade silver to friends more easily, and honestly ESPECIALLY list items on the auction house for whatever price I damn well please.
I just tried buying a token to sell really quick on the AH for 350k 'cause I needed the silver badly, but wait, I can only list it for 500k minimum for some reason. Awesome. And don’t get me started on Dilgele.

Oh yeah, and not to mention a 48 hour god damn waiting time. Makes sense. Like… 24 tops please? Realistically 2-6. 12 acceptable. 24 tops. 2 days to get my money? Why even use this terrible marketplace system?

IMC hamsters need to check if you’re a bot.
Many others try to avoid using the Auction House(see what you did, IMC? Now people don’t even want to use the damn AH) with 1 on 1 trading.

I guess, for now, you can try to 1 on 1 trade with someone your items for whatever price you wish. Plus you don’t have to pay the expensive tax.
