Trade not allowed

Dont worry, there will be more threads like these. As this is a huge issue for the game.

Understand that when more silver is brought into the game, token prices will rise into the millions because, frankly, silver is really easy to get in this game, so prices will rise when players hit higher and higher levels.

A new player wont be able to get a token any time soon, and only the upper 10% of characters will as the game goes on.

Remember, MMORPGs aren’t about just you, but the entire community. If the game dies before then, your “one year investment of tokens” will mean nothing. You need players to WANT to spend money on your game. This game does not make players WANT to buy tokens, or anything else for that matter. Players don’t want to support the scams. The limitations just make players not want to play at all, which is the worst thing that can happen to your game. Even worse when these same players tell potential new players not to bother

A: “Hey, I heard you tried Tree of Savior, how is it?”

B: “Eh, its pretty rough. I mean I liked the game, lots of classes to try out, but basic trading is locked behind real money, and also limited to 30 times per month even if you do pay. You cannot trade silver between anyone or your characters, and you can barely use the marketplace. Party play is frustrating when you can’t even help your friends or even share drops properly. If you play by yourself, it might be ok, but I just couldn’t have fun with it on my own or with my friends.”

A: “Oh… alright then, that’s too bad. I’ll try something else.”

Two hours of farming at a higher level. And tokens don’t even solve the trading issue. You’re still stuck with 30 trades a month which is about 66 cents a trade. You’re not looking at the big picture in the slightest. You can hoard all the tokens you want now. That does nothing to solve the actual problem. If anything, it perpetuates it. You’re supporting this kind of practice by giving people incentive to buy tokens to pawn off on people like you.

Yes, and let’s not forget that you can ONLY trade with tokens users.
So hoarding all the tokens will give you… nothing (on the trade front).

Yes that too. Another absurdity. It creates a new kind of mini-market between players.

Which lead us to the main issue :
Tokens should give bonuses, not arguably essential features.

There is nothing to trade in this game anyways.

20k players in game say different…lag cause server are overloaded say diff…oh come on a new player cant buy a token? theyre being sold like no tmorrow x.x are you actually in game?

higher level? got almost a million till lv 120 - the early levels x.x and some ppl even sold token for 50k xD btw the more token ou activate the more times you can trade they “stack” aka use 10 token trade 300 times - 1m silver kinda for 300 trades - sure … oh and i get bonus exp on top of it xD and an extra dungeon run!

Genuinely shocked you can even make a party without a token.

The thing that shocks me the most is that IMC believed this would stop bots and RMT (or wanted us to think they thought that) and gullible players ate it up. Like did IMC do any research? They ever look into Black Desert Online? That game has very heavy trade restrictions (which you can’t throw money at to bypass it a bit) and that game has RMT traders who steal your CC info.

Do you want to know the actual best way to deal with RMTs? It’s not via an automated process. Do you know what it actually is? Active GMs in-game and a responsive, easy to use reporting system that gives players rewards and incentive for going out of their way to report.

@Edward_Teach You’re wrong. There is plenty to trade with your friends and guildmates. Anything from basic gear to materials. I got a Morning Star on my Cryomancer. My Priest friend needs one. Solution? Put it on the market or vendor it while both my friend and I laugh at how stupid the system is.

It’s really ridiculous that even token users are restricted to trades, but the fact that trade in itself is locked behind a paywall is really dumb.

Uh, I am also in the game and playing through my month I paid for. If it doesn’t change I’m definitely not staying.

I’m giving them their chance to change before I lose hope.

Not if we dont have the ability to trade no, there is a lot of leveling gear we could trade but we simply can’t because of the way trading works at the moment. It’s a real downer for a lot of us who enjoy playing with out friends.

Yeah I have 5 morning stars alright. Why would anyone need to trade, there is absolutely nothing I would want from other players. The basic items you drop instantly. The crafted items are not worth crafting, unless you’re 120 +. Which at this point I assume you’re not. Unless you’re chugging cards… and thats terrible if you do.

exxactly x.x who wanna trade a billion times other than bots xD didn trade a single time until now…and in other games i really trade as well x.x ragnarok i prob traded 100 times in 5 years…idk why ppl wanna trade all day so badly xDD

leveling gear? what kinda gear you wanna trad eto level? you can use lv 15 stuff till 200 x.x im running around with noob stuff…full con for grinding is totally worth it at least for a mage

Just because you dont want something from other players, doesn’t mean that’s how it is from everyone. I dont see why you dont think its backwards that you can’t do basic trading in a mmo.

Ragnarok had reasons tho, if you didnt go champ or creo or hunter, you couldn’t easily do mvp’s… hence you grinded carats or roses… and bought items instead. This game has nothing that would be desireable. I imagine some trade at max level, but I see little to no difference between say regular staff and ludas staff. The difference is minimal.

Furthermore , the high end stuff is going to be expensive as hell, because its nearly impossible to make.

Just yesterday i got a weapon my other party member could use and the other way around, and we wanted to swap the items. There are plenty of other things too, like mats for crafting. F.eks. headgear ect. I just wanna help my friends out, why is that difficult to understand?

You obviously don’t play in a party. There are tons of times where one person gets a weapon or shield that someone else could use, but we can’t trade. It’s an inconvenience.

Just because you and @sephi4321 don’t trade very often doesn’t mean other people don’t. In fact I am willing to bet that a majority of players are not in favour of the trade system.

To allow this and be okay with this is so short sighted. What about when you join a guild? Want to help each other out? Maybe give a newbie some items to help them on their way? Unless everyone involved has paid $18.00 USD and has trades left that’s not happening.

I can’t even believe I am arguing this point. How are people okay with this? This kind of complacency is why companies like IMC think they can get away with stuff like this.

It’s this kind of complacency that would have allowed the $50.00 USD buy-in and three month exclusive founder stuff to roll out. I am amazed. What’s next?

“I don’t really party that much, so I wouldn’t mind it if tokens were the only way to party.”

“I’m not really into guilds, so I wouldn’t mind it if tokens were the only way to join and/or make a guild.”

Yes, this slope is slippery as hell, but I have a feeling that the same kind of people who defend trading would defend that too if IMC rolled it out.
