Captcha doesn’t stop bots in this day and age. Computers are getting smarter by the day and all that does is intrude on the players. It halts them initially because they have to make a program to scan the screen for the characters. You can make it annoying for the sellers; but if the demand is there they will go through the loops. Because it pays.

But… a human can just make the account, bypass all counter measures you would place at the door because hey; human being. Then make the bot while they are inside the game.

Not the captcha I was talking about, the ones they put for before people log in NEVER work. There is a different captcha used so it’ll come up in-game at random times whether it is 1hr, 30mins or 5hrs. Unless those bots are hiding i believe an In-game captcha would work a lot better than removing trading or adding the captcha most games use these days. @_@

so all your talk is about a “paywall” for trading x.x when i told a dozen times token can be purchased in game - doesn matter the price (right now its really worth to buy them as often as possible) where is the paywall when a free user can get the VIPexclusive stuff simply by spending 1 day AT MOST

stuff you might not know: a smart free user gets his own “vip user” and makes deals with him - ensuring to get w/e he wants from the VIP user at a good price (thats what i done in a couple games that i just played 2-3 hours a day and for 1-6 months only)

Still missing the point. The token has to come from somewhere. The fact that players need this token to access a basic system in most MMOs is the problem. But I don’t think you understand that. You’re part of the problem. You give people reasons to support this kind of thing since it makes them quick silver.

ICM make good loot system for the party .

  1. “someitem” (timer) (partymember1, … 2 … 3 , etc).
  2. partymember1 can trade “someitem” with partymember2 … etc.
  3. if the time on the timer goes out “someitem” can be trade by default ONLY (/ w token).
    Example:
  • partymembers( player1, player2) killed Vubbe Figter
  • drop is “Vubbe Fighter Blood” ( 30 min) (player1, player2)
  • player1 loot this item.
  • player1 can trade “Vubbe Fighter Blood” with ONLY player2 in 30min.
    and ALL happy :slight_smile:

ofc im a loyal paying customer thats why im part of the problem xDD i bet you dont even play the game yet you complain alot - there are important things like the lag spikes - this silly “mommy i wanna trade” topic doesn help at all - it wont change only because 10 free player demand a change - we as paying customer got a small advantage - we can trade hurray…now grind you 100k silver and you can trade too…every second you waste in this thread keeps you from getting your goal - buying tokens to trade all day

I do play the game, which is why I complain because I observe the problems, experience them and try to solve them.

I get that you want to dumb down the argument to crying to your parents, but it just shows that you lack understanding on the issue. The fact that we can buy this in game for a currency that will inflate does not solve the core issue. I don’t know what kind of games you play, but if you think putting trading behind a paywall is healthy, then why stop there. Let’s ride this slippery slope.

Go on. Pay for it. Anything else you want to pay for? Levels? The ability to rank up? The ability to party?

At what point do you say enough is enough or is tossing money at your screen until you can play the game in a way which every other game save for maybe one handles itself a valid excuse?

As I recall, you were defending the three month EA buy-in for the Open Beta. Guess what side lost? 10 free players? You’re dreaming.

Until you reached 30 trades and then you still can’t trade for another 29 days until your token wears out or you use a new one, which you probably can’t until the old one wears off.

What ever happened to the idea of “fun”?

However, I could support the idea of trading being usable in some way to the non-premium. Not necessarily an unlimited amount, or even free.
What about a cash shop deal for <5tp, which would make it limited but still reasonably accessible? I mean, the only other things to really spend TP on is scape dolls and megaphones.

Silver could also work if they want to “combat bots” by adding in gold sinks to counter the inflation caused by the bots themselves. Add in a sizable silver tax to trading, not so much that it’s impossible without grinding, not sizable enough that it might make a bit of a difference in the gold levels of the server

Is the same history.
If a player can grind silver and “be happy”, a bot can grind silver and be profitable.

And with “a sizable silver tax” for trading, is nearly the same as no trade, at least for low levels.

The majority of players are casual player (as you can see in the adventure journal -> average points). You make players angry if they can’t afford trade a simple hat.
