I think I fixed all values. Skill descriptions are taken from the official translation project. Some values like Resis Elements are indeed 0 by default as they are increased by Attributes.

I got a spam mail from one of their admins. with some shady links talking about ToS CBT.

IMPORTANT: TOSBase has been hacked and used to send fake emails with Flash’s email address containing phising links, DELETE IMMEDIATELY THESE EMAILS

Flash will NEVER send you this kind of emails!!!

Uh, why do you cry as if in panic? No one needs to delete anything. Instead report or mark it as spam. Most email services have this feature available.

That explains why i get 404 not found.

There’s also a reddit thread that gives warning about scam email (if you have account on tosbase) that will guide you to visit a phishing website that looks like tosbase.

Hacked for email and access to iCBT2 or just to delete and f*ck your work ?
In both case, it’s weird.

I don’t think we had anything on our server that could have helped them to get access to iCBT2. They only deledted TOSBase stuff (our translator files got a little note “dontwanntotouchthis”) so it was only about sending the scam mail and deleting my work.

I see, sorry to see that this kind of things happens.

So what’s the future of the site?

We have backups of all files including the Skill Simulator etc. Some data like recent forum posts and saved skill builds will be lost but the overall functionality should not be affected once we finished isntalling everything.

If the quesion is related to TOSBase:
we will learn from the attack and going to secure our server better against this kind of stuff more efficiently
“If you go and take the possitive of problems, you can learn more from it, then only taking the bad parts”.

Glad to see that it didn’t majorily impact the site! I don’t understand why they’d go about attacking a fansite, but if possible, you should send out another email about avoiding that phishing website since you do have a fairly large community. (unless you already have, I never got the phishing email to begin with)

So do the hackers have access to TOSBASE accounts passwords?

The attacker was able to delete our database so it’s possible that he accessed to the user table. The password are only saved hashed (“encrypted”) and not in clear text by phpBB. Anyway as always in cases like this we have to recommened everyone to change their passwords.

We will sent out emails once the installation of the server is completed.
