Hacked for email and access to iCBT2 or just to delete and f*ck your work ?
In both case, it’s weird.

I don’t think we had anything on our server that could have helped them to get access to iCBT2. They only deledted TOSBase stuff (our translator files got a little note “dontwanntotouchthis”) so it was only about sending the scam mail and deleting my work.

I see, sorry to see that this kind of things happens.

Report that website and spread the word!

So what’s the future of the site?

We have backups of all files including the Skill Simulator etc. Some data like recent forum posts and saved skill builds will be lost but the overall functionality should not be affected once we finished isntalling everything.

If the quesion is related to TOSBase:
we will learn from the attack and going to secure our server better against this kind of stuff more efficiently :smile:

Glad to see that it didn’t majorily impact the site! I don’t understand why they’d go about attacking a fansite, but if possible, you should send out another email about avoiding that phishing website since you do have a fairly large community. (unless you already have, I never got the phishing email to begin with)

So do the hackers have access to TOSBASE accounts passwords?

The attacker was able to delete our database so it’s possible that he accessed to the user table. The password are only saved hashed (“encrypted”) and not in clear text by phpBB. Anyway as always in cases like this we have to recommened everyone to change their passwords.

We will sent out emails once the installation of the server is completed.

Ok, the forum and website are back online. There are still some issues and the Wiki still needs to be done but I’m working on it for about 20 hours now and I need a pause (sleep).

I lost forum users, topics, posts,… and skill builds, views, … between September 14th and yesterday. Everything before that is still there. The database and tools should use the exact same data as htey did before the attack.

Should be fixed. (Please reload the login page). The forum in it’s current configuration is not redirecting to the website but only to urls of the forum itself which cause the problem when you tried to login from the website.

@Flash, do you guys have info on abnormal status categories?

Cure (Cleric) removes level 1 abnormal status, Prophecy (Oracle) prevents level 1 abnormal status, while Indulgentia (Pardoner) remvoves level 2 and above abnormal status.

I would like to know if there is info on the files for what debuff is in each category? :>

Also, some things to check on the skill simulator:

  • Earthquacke shows default AoE range of 1, but shouldn’t it be 4?
  • I don’t remember IMC buffing Backstab’s cooldown. It was 44 seconds, but the simulator says 10 seconds. Can you look after it since it is a pretty big difference?
  • Fireball is showing 1 hit regardless of its level instead of scaling.

I’m fairly sure Fire Ball is a weird skill anyways… Even if the skill description doesn’t change on the Skill Simulator.

When it touches an enemy once, even if the enemy is killed in the first hit, the Fire Ball keeps exploding and sending out an AoE effect so a level 10 Fire Ball can only send out 3 “hits” with 4 explosions each with 10 explosions overall .-. something like that.

That was my experience with it at least.

I didn’t really spent much time on status effects so I can’t give you an answer about status levels.

The Skill Simulator had indeed a bug that caused it to miscalculate the AoE Range. This bug should be fixed now. I rechecked the Cooldown of Backstab but it seems right based on the client files.
