But block penetration is applied on every attack, including skills, while elemental attribute attacks work only with autoattacks.
Anyway, it only works well if you have lots of block penetration from the start. And if it’s not party buff then it’s semi useless (because chaplain doesn’t have physical skills and most of it’s damage is from on hit effects anyway).
If you read it again properly it does says while Last Rite and Revive are in effect so ya it’s a party buff.And even if its not a party buff is not like your only class in your build is Chaplain.You will build your path to have more physical classes and with actual physical skills like Paladin or Monk or maybe others in the future.

Yeah, I can see some interesting high SPR chaplain/monk anti block builds with this. If it’s party buff then it’s actually good (free stats), but again, it won’t help that much if block pen is low from the start.
Yet it’s not totally useless, just nothing special. Even SP regen looks better with current block system.
Today in 50 5v5 was 2 dragoons and 1 cannoneer.
In top 30 2v2 was 1 musketeer, 1 cannoneer, 1 shinobi.

Those are the reasons.
Immunity to physical damage from the first and the PD class gives immunity to all stuns and debuffs.
They break the game.
Only reason Dragoons are at the top is because spear attributes give block penetration and I’m sure they team up with fellow PDs and C3 Clerics.
I wouldn’t roll these classes in this top 50. There’s also plenty of Archers if you look at top 100, but far, far less Swordsmen.
Nerfs will be coming.
If we’re talking balancing, then you want archers to have less dps, and wizards to have blockable magic damage?
Also we’ll take away Dragoons pierce too it doesn’t need that.

the one thing wich shines in there are the kabbalist - i mean i read everywhere how useless they are and yet people choose them + it seems to work - wondering how it works? oh man thats the ONE thing bothering me right now NOT knowing why they seem to be kinda useful xD i wanna play and test them so bad…
he got a point tho . why would a dragoon be in top 3 if the class wasn viable in the first place? meaning less dragoon play the game or less people choose to play swordy classes - or more people focused heavy on pve dps stuff rather than utility in pvp- so his reply makes perfect sense - if you call a swordy bad based on that list you kinda prove yourself wrong the same time xD
Dragoon is in the top because of the very powerful PvP focused build of Swordsman C3 (for max Restrain) -> Hoplite C3 (for max Finestra) -> Dragoon
I’d love to see what iToS players can pull off with that kind of build.
Actually the strongest Dragoon has SwordsmanC3CataC3Dragoon build.
Finestra is not that useful in PvP.
isn’t cyclone better than dragoon for pvp purposes? i was told that you remount quickly with upcoming changes
might commit to this:
with this build you can double cyclone into rush or the other way around.
the question is if you will remain dismounted for the duration of cyclone, or dismount right when you use it and remount a second after, gaining the movementspeed from trot while cyclone is up.

You can use Dragoon skills while mounted and it also has more burst. Doppel is also good, but all 3 in top 50 are dragoons (maybe with doppel at R6).

I think you couldn’t use some skills while mounted before, but now you can use most pf them w/o dismounting.
Oh alright, my bad. Why is Finestra considered to be not very useful in PvP though?
