i don’t see any whining here. they are just discussing about the class balancing problem even it is alpha state. its good to bring up mod attention. why not?

Archers are strong on paper. They have the DPS, but the problem is they lack the CC/utility that would make them useful enough to carry teams in PvP. Evasion is nice, but that won’t work against mages, and when all you are is a glass cannon with no way to set your enemies up for your damage… well, what can you do?
1-Wizards and Cleric exploit the Arena not clearing magic circles from the ground,so if they win one round,they get an auto win in second

2-I’ve seem somewhere that the top Dragoon is a cheater.Not sure if it was speedhack, but there is video evidence somewhere.
3-Some people are exploiting druid’s C2 Transform to get perma invincibility
Swordsman do have a gap closer (I’m talking about hopites), that’s why those dragoons are here, I think.
Archers simply suck here because they can’t dps for 2 reasons: they die too fast, and they can’t get through all those safety zones, shields and stone skin. Snipe is a great finisher but it’s nearly impossible to land.
There are simply too many ways to completely negate physcial damage.
But there are no Druids C2 at top 50. I’ve seen this bug, but the enemy team simply ignored him and won due to time limit.
About top dragoon, I also wonder how he got that winrate, but I think it’s about cyclone+dragoon skills combo. If such a dragoon comes close enough it will kill wizards/archers very quickly. And it doesn’t even need to be a cataphract, I think (I’ve seen quite a few vidoes with unmounted dragoon performing pretty well).
It might also help to have all armor have magic def instead of just cloth. I mean all armor has physical def in varying rates, why not do the opposite with magic? Although I’m not sure if armor effects arena at all it would at least do something for gvg.
I would say make block work against magic too but then they’d really need to nerf stone skin and maybe even rework shields and gems.
Yeah, that make sense. I did not take part in any pvp myself, that’s why I’m quite unaware of how the rankings actually made. Are they based on pure kill score? Or some kind of contribution to the win?

I think it would be logical to make player rank the more based on win% the more he plays. So player with few games but high winrate will be placed lower, but when the number of games is high then players will be distributed by % winrate. I think that ranking works almost the same way at nearly every game.
So it’s basically impossible to get high rank with just high number of plays but low winrate. So it’s obvious from those rankings that Priests/Mages have much higher average winrate.

Those sound more like excuses than anything. There are several max level archers due to the massive buffs recently. And there’s nothing to show that they are not into PvP.
If anything is clear, it’s that balance wise, classes that don’t have crowd control (Wiz) or crowd control protection (Clerics) lose out. Hyper-mobility classes (Cata-Dragoon, Schwartz) and one-shot classes (Musketeer) can do slightly better, but still lose out in general.

I’m curious what build the dragoons are running
While you might not find any archers in the top 50 for 5v5’s, you’ll see them much more often in the 2v2’s.
The dragoons are usually running something with cata since they have high mobility, and both dragoon and cata have great multi hit skills. That combined with clerics (mostly PD’s) works out very well in PvP.
I’m not sure those 2 dragoons are Cata based. I’ve seen a bunch of videos and there unmounted Doppel/Dragoon performed really well.
But it might really be Cata builds as well.

Isn’t block penetration normally a spr thing? Maybe that’s the issue. I don’t think most swordies have much spr. Maybe some archers do because they run out of sp more. Perhaps it’s more of a balance issue there. We could also see some block penetration on gears without gems.
You could probably half stone skin and it’d still be good.
Still think all gear should have magic def and have accessories help with an assortment of things instead, with one of them being block penetration. We could have some that still help with magic def as well, but I think it’d be more fun to players to be able to customize their gear and pick out different things especially for their builds.
The one that’s consistently #1-5 is cata based, I’m not 100% sure on the other 2.
well…because almost all chapains buff on “attacks” only applies to auto attack, so im just guessing
