Is it only me or it feels like thief class/branch should have been included? I’m a bit disappointed.
Let me clarify, there are a lot of classes already and plenty of diversity, so I’m not saying that it’s needed, but it seems way too weird to not have it. Both for being a mmorpg and a “RO spiritual successor” where thief/sin was popular. I don’t know anything about the developement of the game, does anyone know if they intended to have it at first and maybe they decided not to? Maybe another branch would be too much work (it’s already kind of a mess like this, at least for balancing issues), or maybe they didn’t have enough ideas for classes.
Also, there are some classes in the game which are obviously out of place right now, and would fit better in a thief branch (thematically):
Rogue> yes rogues would use bows but that’s it, seems a bit forced in archer branch, i think a rogue would use any silent weapon, mostly dagger.
Corsair> it’s a a pirate(legalized pirate actually), aka a robber, while it’s a good swordman he also uses firearms.
Shinobi> well, it’s an assassin, even though here it’s an anime-style ninja. it’s a bit on his own maybe.
Wugushi> blowgun/poison user, I think would fit better as an assassin
Plague Doctor> first of all, it’s a doctor, not a priest ffs, the use of poison and the fact that plague doctors weren’t exactly saints, make it fit a bit better in a thief branch.
Schwarzer Riter> i don’t know, seems more of a bandit to me
