The road to a perfect legit +15 test

Since i’m not playing much lately and don’t mind wasting some money on what i think is an interesting test, i decided to test how difficult it really is to +15 a weapon without losing potential, because there is so much exploiting going on that it’s really hard to believe who’s telling the truth.

For my test i used the cheapest weapon i can buy from a NPC (Dunkel Falchion lvl 1) It’s untradable but very cheap to upgrade.

Of course this is a matter of luck, still i want to see it for myself and share it with my fellow saviors.

Let’s see how long it takes for RNGesus to show up

I recorded all my upgrade attempts split in 4 video’s, The one i uploaded is part 4 and shows that on the 18th weapon i got it to +14 till it broke…
From my experience most weapons fail around +5 to +8 so it’s really based on luck. I did manage to get it to a perfect +11 in a previous attempt

My conclusion is that it’s very unlikely that multiple people are so lucky to get a perfect +15 or more on a high level weapon that is very expensive to upgrade, while i can’t even do it in 18 try’s

Decide for yourself what you think about it…And let’s all hope IMC will find a good way to trace exploiters.

I did get a perfect +10 grand cross about 2 weeks ago. I litteraly had an awesome lucky moment. I wasn’t even trying, I just decided to spend all the money I could into getting a good gc, cause i would be able to use it forever anyway, but then i got to +10 and i decided it was worth stopping. Then I just put some gems on it and it was perfect. I know a lot of exploiters are around, but since it’s a metter of luck, it is possible to get to perfect +15 somehow. So, I don’t know exactly how, but IMC must develop some system to stop this bugs, cause legit honest players are also getting hostilized for achieving an awesome item like this, for people think they’re exploiting.

you think 18 is a big number though?

if 1/18 get to +11 perfects, doesn’t that prove the “many” +15 out there could be plausible?

People do cry fowl on just +10perfects though rofl.

Pretty much.

This guy failed 17 times to make a 14, nobody knows how many tries to make a 15. To do a 15 without failing is really really really unlikely.

two reallys is overblowing imo. just one really unlikely.

fixed, now is better.

I don’t know the price of a Grand Cross but that weapon is only level 40 and still somewhat affordable to upgrade, so you could buy multiple and try over and over like i did in this video, just on a little higher scale of a money sink.
But to me it’s just very very unlikely anyone will have THAT much luck to make it happen with a high level weapon which is crazy expensive. and you simply will not buy multiple gear pieces level 120+ to just upgrade and sell for profit. Especially legit, in an exploit era…

Got my GC bow to +12 no pot loss. Did it the second time around wasnt able to get pass +9 lmao

You should try on at least 100 of them… 18 isnt much to make any conclusion

18 is not enough to get an idea on the spread of number attempts required to +15 without potential loss.

But it is more then enough to reach the conclusion:
It’s very expensive and isnt likely to succeed.

Incidentally, +15 on a GC, without failing once, would cost 590k~ Each failure about +10~ would add about 100k to that.

So it’s certainly repeatable. For maybe about 1m~ per attempt (including GC cost and some potential losses)

Ofcourse for a 220 weapon the cost would be 10 times that.

Well if its truly lucky you would only need 590k. That zero potential +15 he also had probably costed something like 1m tho. (not including GC cost)

Omg l2p gitgud scrub. You only need to spend 30 or 40 hours farming in Prison 2F and you would get 5m EZ.

I can do it in 20 tho, since im Gud.

We already know the odds of getting to +15 in one shot. They’re low. This is meaningless. If we took your results to mean 1 in every 18 weapons got to +15 with only one fail, then there would be +15s everywhere. The fact that you’re testing to ‘prove’ that +15s are nearly impossible and then get a +15 with 1 potential lost relatively easily says all that needs to be said: that random is random. If 1 in 200 weapons reach +15 without failing, it means on average for every 200 people going for +15, one of them will get it without failing. It’s still random, and you may make 200 attempts and that lucky person will never be you, or you may get it on the first try. Or you may +15 with a single fail like you did here and be happy enough with that (since people are already saying that a +15 even with 1 lost potential isn’t legit either, that it was failed once on purpose to look legit… lol).

Agreed, can’t the dude’s bro just be lucky?
Why can’t we just assume the OP is telling the truth until otherwise proven (like his bro’s name showing up on a ban-list or something)?
If this is one of those “look at me I’m not doing anything wrong but I actually am” thread, then OP and his brother would have just shot themselves on the foot anyway.

Unfortunately we live in a ‘guilty until proven innocent’ society these days fueled by fear and anger and witch hunt mentality. I blame the media.
