The Early Access EU Server Community Help Topic [Updated 28/3/2016]

I´m aware of all that but arpgs like diablo or especially path of exile got that covered by predicting what you would do next. It comes with a price of course. You sometimes are out of sync with the serverand thats another issue. But I still think you could mitigate the problem by use this prediction mechanic after you made 2 to 3 sucessive attacks or something like that.

i had a bad ping so left the game early , was no point pvping in that game

Yes some systems exist that let the player go with a lot of freedom before forcing a re-sync if needed. (I think WoW is like this and it’s really well done)

But at this point if they have to develop again all their networking system from scratch, I think we can wait 1 or 2 years before a release ;x

Up to now you get no benefit from winning in PvP. Maybe it will be annoying as hell sometimes, but they should be able to get a EU server up and running before they add benefits to PvP…otherwise there will be a riot going on on the forums. :yum:

Of course they can´t develop something like that now. The only option would be to lower the bonus attackspeed of some skills and buff other things about them.

Or they can just give us an EU Server :stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair, almost all other big regions have regional servers with thery own publishers (namely brazil and south east asia)

I have a far better and more stupid solution.
They should scale the attack power with your ping.
So if you’re lagging like hell, you will hit like a truck to compensate @_@

Oh god no. Please never say that again. I barfed into my mouth about the possibilities on how easily that is exploitable. It’s very easy to manipulate your ping to be bigger, but near impossible to make it lower without moving to another country.

This own publisher thingy is what most Europeans don’t want though. Most European publishers are just really bad at their job. It’s still something I can’t grasp, why hasn’t competition fixed this problem on this continent?

Why do we have only publishers like nexon europe, who publish everything few years late from other continents when all the hype is already dead and everyone has already found their way to play on other servers? It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise publishing mmo games is less profitable here if you treat us like that.

That’s why I got even more excited about this game when I heard that IMC is going to publish it themselves.

Cannoneer f2w.

But if it was for autoattacks only, then maybe… But still too hard to control.

My thought exactly. It really doesn’t take even half a minute of thinking to come up with ways to abuse that kind of system.

I was joking of course…

Us EU players are completely screwed if we don’t get an EU server.

No EU server = no money for them. Don’t pay them cent if they don’t provide you a server for your region.

Not completely, it’s not the end of the world but still something that stings.

I would at least want to hear proper reasoning/explanation if they end up deciding not to give us own server. I think just announcing the decision at 29th would drive many players away in case they give declining decision.

Not that I think this is likely to happen.

If they don’t give us our own server then when the game goes F2P it’s going to absolutely collapse like Albion Online did. There’s a reason for localised servers, many reasons even.

I’m honestly starting to doubt how much faith IMC has in their game. No, I’m not calling it a cash grab, but we can clearly (and I mean CLEARLY) see that there is more than enough interest to support an EU server.

HOWEVER, we all know the game isn’t doing great in Korea. It’s a fact, it’s not up for discussion. I’m not saying the game is dead, because it’s not, and it can easily be salvaged with some good updates that should bring a lot of people back (not all, several surveys state a lot of people only play an MMORPG one round, and if they quit they never return).

So we all know hosting a server yourself is an investment, it can fail. Which again, as I stated above, makes me wonder if IMC themselves are losing faith in the game. There are thousands of people crying from different regions for regional servers, if IMC believed they had a damn good product that would keep people interested for a long time, they should at least try to open more servers than one, right? Because time is running out. They got 2-4 days (depending how “generous” you are) to salvage this situation, or they’ll lose out on a ton of EU players. Not all, some will for sure play on iToS, but that’s still just a drop in the ocean compared to what an EU ToS server would have in terms of EU players (comparing iRO which had EU players to euRO which had more players altogether than iRO for several years).

There is no “create iToS and see how it does and then open more servers”. This is it, there’s no “tomorrow” for this.

Sad that we have to keep campaigning for this. I hope they give us a decision really soon. I don’t want to have to refund.

You misunderstood me I don´t want a european publisher. I said the other regions don´t need a local server from the international version because they have a local publisher.

Yeah, I just wanted to point out that even having international publish from IMC themselves with servers located only in US is better than having our own server (IP restricted, as always) with European publisher. This kind of option, of course, is not favourable but even this would be better than having the game published separately in EU by another company.

At least I won’t consider playing anything that is published by nexon europe or few other greedy and untalented scumbags.

That is called a investment in business terms also take into account you need people to test the game you also do understand there are phase’s of testing right or did you ignore the reason for CBT 1 and 2?

Phase 1 alpha testing game in its most core basic with implementation of mechanic’s and other foundational parts of the game.

Phase 2 part 1 closed beta testing the game with outside information coming in aka from players.

Phase 2 part 2 closed beta stress testing this is in mmo terms is to test how much the server can take before any notable problems show up.

Most company’s will make a lost when they start a project to begin with but as you recalled they make this back with cash shop or subscriptions take world of Warcraft for instance during development they was in the red heavily even loosing some of there team in the process due to not being able to afford to pay them but in the end the pay out was big wow has been around for 20+ years and there subscription/ game buy in price has most likely made them way more then the initial investment.
