I been following and searched Templar information for a while. And I originally thought Templar was going to be a cleric due to a religious correlation (behind the templar name, which most classes if not all have been consistent with). I didnt really understand or think about peoples frustration before thinking Templar was a cleric class. I was hoping to make my Guild Leader Character a Cleric.
Hearing that Templar has a increased chance of being a swordsman. I Kind of felt a bit disappointed because I got so hyped for Cleric being my main, and as a guild leader i still remain more loyal to making my guild. Im going to make whatever class is Templar.
Regardless, I feel like I understand more why its really… inconvenient… that Templar is limited to one class tree. Swordsman(supposedly?).
Even though I confirmed myself that Templar being the way to create guilds isnt “official”. 3 days before the JCBT interview IMC said through a email that nothing is official and its still a developing part of the game.
I really promote the idea of making Templar a role any class can become. That Archers, Wizards, Clerics, and Swordsman can become a Templar; that is if Templar becomes the option to make guilds. I think it would offer a more unique diverse set of guilds for the game having guild leaders as one of whatever type of class. I think there maybe benefits to this idea. At the same time, having it a class advancement option. People really need to thick critically. “I spent all this time getting to rank 8, do I want to really advance this character to a guild leader character?”
I mean, some people who are prepared to make a guild leader character regardless but probably literally have no interest in swordsman whatsoever. Theyre probably more passionate about one of the other 3 classes. Or never even considered making a swordsman. But to maintain good leadership you need to play the guild leader character, right? It seems an awful disadvantage to force people to play a swordsman to build a guild. When theyre passionate and an adamant archer/cleric/wizard player.
On top of that, I really highly doubt that Templars will “Sell” guild leadership? If Im wrong about that then… whatever. But selling guilds just doesnt… make sense? I dont know who or how someone is lead to believe that. Is it because of classes like squire, alchemist and pardoner can sell stuff? Id imagine it to be more like Dievdirbys. They make something but dont sell it? (Like the Crafted Teleport Statue).
Tell me, what is your perspective.
