Templar Info from JP FGT

I think your missing the point here. I don’t care about the 1 rank it would take or the work it would take. I am saying what if a guy who loves being a mage wants to be a guild leader. I just think locking it down to 1 class is a poor decision im open to many fixes just with the information that is currently spoiled i don’t like the way it looks.

Once again were all just guessing because we don’t have much info.

Your idea i like. It prevents the issue of locking GM down to one class.

Yeah i’m totally cool with that, as long as I don’t need this guy in order to do anything ^^

I really think some people here don’t get the point xD

The problem is NOT leveling something rank 8 to get a guild, as i said before, any decent guild can and will do it.
The problem is, what if you actually NEED to play this guy whenever you do a guild activity (pvp, dungeons, boss, maybe some other things too)
That is the real problem for most of us, i do agree that playing/leveling is not a problem, at all.

The idea of stucking someone on a char (and remember we have Char limitation) that you actually HAVE to play is really weird. Especially when you don’t like the class.

I really like the idea of guild Creating class more than a guild Leading class, so everyone can play what they want as GM as long as they have their Templar

I really, really love this idea. The fact that you put the effort on making a rank 8 “hidden” class that this class has the ability on guild creation, my guess having a guild here has lotsa perks more than any other guild system in any game. Also this will save the servers database a lot of clutter. I’m not saying “I don’t like fun and stupid guilds” no that’s not it. It’s the term “Guild” itself shouldn’t be “I made a guild because I wanted to.” and should be “We made a guild because we deserve it.”

Probably TOS tries to emulates “Guild” system that actually affects the game. Just like In Real Life. probably “Medieval” In Real Life.

I have the same sentiment, more so if it’s actually a hidden class meaning guilds will have a limit in number. Though the question I always have about limited availability is what if the templar gets inactive does that mean in the long run, no one can make guilds anymore?

Also the argument if you have to force yourself to play a class you don’t want just to have a guild, then I don’t think you deserve to have one. Only those patient and willing enough gets to make one and there will be such people.

Heck in RO, it’s a hell to level a pure brewing alchemist or blacksmith (pure int/luk/dex) but a lot of people does it not because they like it but rather they see the benefit of having one.

With limited guilds, IMC can get crazy with the perks, what if guild can fight for maps and have an increase exp/drop when they play on their territory? Or lower npc fees + tax earned from people using services on the city they owned? Maybe guild members gets to become npc later on when they star on a mini quest involving guilds or something.

Screw for fun guilds. You have friend list for that.

templar will probably be the same as centurion. he’ll have skills for guild activities, raids or whatever, and then just an extra skill to form guilds for anyone.

I completely agree. Again majority of all these people complaining believe that simply because every other game does it in one particular way that ToS should follow suit. Ironically these are the same people who seem to call for and supposedly support innovation, originality, and creativity… but of course only if they like it… because you know… they only deserve the best treatment possible. Basically they just want the maximum amount of benefits in exchange for the least amount of work possible.

-Why can’t i make a guild on my own when and how i want to?
-Why can’t i solo this boss? i don’t like partying with people and i feel discriminated against because i can’t solo my way through this game
-Why aren’t these bosses spawning when I want them to? I don’t like this random respawn timer, that means i have to wait.
-This takes too much work, make it easier for me

Woes and gripes of those brimming with a false sense of entitlement thinking and believing the world owes them. Six months later if game X were to play into their demands they’re all up in arms in the forums saying “disappointed at this game. Just another unimaginative carbon copy”.

Also i’d caution you… making too much sense these days is a touchy subject because people’s feelings get hurt.

Agree with you as well, people these days don’t even know what they want anymore.
Give them challenge = This game doesn’t cater to casual
Give them easy = This game caters to much on casual, what about us hardcore?

I don’t mind making too much sense at the expense of people’s fragile feelings. The earlier they realize that things doesn’t always go their way, the better they are in the long run.

sigh

Well, so we just have to wait for infos from IMC about what is their vision of a “guild”.
Maybe an original one, different from all other games… But right now, it sounds really weird & disturbing.

So “fun guilds” are necessarily uninteresting?
Oh btw, speaking of the friend list (sorry OoS), is it limitless? Does it have some sorting options or group options?

i assume the people who want different things from games, are in fact, different people.

I am not saying fun guilds are uninteresting, it’s just that they are trying to defend the ‘I want my anime/emo/furry/whatever guild’ but I don’t like the hard part about getting it, if you just want a fun guild (which just consist of people roleplaying/strolling around town/spamming cute emotes) then a friend list would suffice.

Guild, by any means, should be a prestige, something that is worked hard for and with the route IMC is heading (if they indeed went this path) then we can really see a good guild vs guild interaction instead of just an over glorified friend list.

Okay. “Guilds should be a prestige” is also a good point of view.

Yet we don’t know what a guild will be in ToS, even what will exactly be the templar class, but I still wonder something.
Admit you want to create a “serious guild” (in opposition to the “fun guild”'s first meaning), but only opened to cleric classes. Well you can’t, if the templar must be the guildmaster (it’s a possibility), and that’s is a bit annoying…

But yeah, we still don’t know what it will be. Wait & see

Time for me put forth my opinion on the Templar/Guild subject.

Begs the question as to why someone would bother posting in or visiting a thread he supposedly does not care about.

Aside from the attempt to seem snide and antagonistic that is. @Synnie

who cares about beeing the leader im sure you find someone who went for templer in the game. He can creat the guild and invite you ez or not ? im only hearing you cry about “I WANT TO BE THE LEADER” it sounds so egoistic.

If you would rly care about GvG etc you shouldnt mind how a guild will be created or who leads it. Just be happy it will be a part of the game

Don’t be an fool and re-read my scenario, about a cleric classes-only guild… >.<
It’s the same problem if you need a templar char in your guild (not only the guildmaster). I should have made the precision… My bad then.

Thinking about wannabe-guildmasters is everything except selfish.
Obviously it’s a concern IF ToS’ guild system will be something like a “traditional” guild overall system.

If the Templar class is a “selling-crafted-scroll class”, then ofc no problem. But we don’t know yet.
Just speculations & worries.

Are you seriously thinking that?
Because every GvG feature won’t be necessarily suitable for ToS, it’ll depend also on how a guild is created and what is supposed to be a guild in this game.

Finally …
Someone said something smart

Also, Ro pvp Elitist spotted :stuck_out_tongue:
Accept the idea of creating a “fun guild, full of wizards”.
In that case, is it really “fun” to level up a swordman in order to make it? I don’t think so.
Ya sure let’s call IMC ASAP and report the #1 in game problem - how on earth could a fun guild only for wizard exist if we have to create a swordsman for it! Lets pray they fix the guild creation thing asap so wizard only guilds have a damn chance to exist!

Oh ya and one more thing - How can we level up if i wanna create a peaceful Monk? I am not allowed to kill things! This is a HUGE problem and HAS to be solved - please IMC no more killing monsters for leveling up!!!

/sarcasm off

Seriously no words for that shi-t xD

Instead of playing it sarcasticaly (I like that), explain why do you think this scenario (in a classic MMO’s guild system), is sh!t to you.

Lets say 4000 people want to go on the other side of the river
3999 got no problem and just go over the bride - one guy is too afraid and demands to shut down the river so he can go over peacefully

Your argument of the “wizard only fun guild” makes as much sense as this lil story does.
Could make up stupid arguments for every single content of this game as i done before in my last reply.
