Templar Info from JP FGT

Then the issue becomes paraphrasing isn’t what you did as the meaning changed. But after trying to be reasonable and reading your most recent post its seems you don’t really care about having a discussion its just gonna be yelling your opinion and insults. So im gonna bow out of this conversation before this thread becomes a flame war.

Rank 8 is a tiny lil too early but meh okay.
If you don’t like to be a Swordsman in order to create a guild (if the infos are correct) simply ask your mates for help to level one up.
I can’t see any bad sides in this - it’s after all a guild creation only…you are not forced to play that char as your main always and forever.
Also “fun guilds” can level one up “for fun” and do “fun things” meanwhile? Oo like seriously you play the game to…play the game right.
People complaining got spoiled too much by other games.

Im more interested in if the guilds can be transferred to another player like a service. When i know that ill be able to make my final opinion on this class.

“seriously you play the game to…play the game right.

How were they spoiled? even in the older harder games guilds were never overly difficult to make the worst i can think of was find x rare item to create.

Nobody is yelling and no insults are being thrown around. This isn’t a flame war. You’re simply at your wit’s and are now resorting to diminishing and dismissing my stance as a personal attack towards you or as something petty because your feelings got hurt and you’re not used to getting called out for your silliness. Do not tell me that I am not open to discussion. You are the one who is “bowing out” because I do want to talk, it’s just that I don’t want to constantly accomodate your feelings and cuddle with you while telling you that you are wrong.

I hope you feel better and may your mother constantly tell you how much of a special snowflake you are. God bless your dainty little heart. Now that, right there, is a slight personal jab. Might as well if i’m going to get hung for a lamb as a sheep.

I don’t think i need any text to accompany this but the forums tell me i do.

Honestly i dont think so - it would kill the whole purpose of leaving templar as a rank 8 swordsman class.
I guess he gonna be bound to the guild he created and got a couple of skills to increase “the use” of it.
Something he has to work for to gain Skill Levels (other than simply grinding for them?!) Like doing Raid bosses in an Instance and earning the needed exp this way to rank up in higher skill levels (wich only affect the guild?) So seperate passives from his normal ones.
Maybe later on enabling nice passives wich increase the exp/drop rate for all members - unlocking special dungeons exclusive for their guild only etc etc…idk so much the templar could do

I specifically said that was in fact a personal jab.

You’re actually being serious? You consider this an insult? So basically you consider anyone who doesn’t want to accommodate your being a baby insulting? gotcha.

I’m sorry baby girl for hurting your feelings. Let it be known to the entire forums that from henceforth @thebloodyaugust will be treated specially and not antagonized lest you be considered rude. Cater to his every whim because he totally deserves it. We all clearly do not know and can’t possibly comprehend how awesome his mother thinks he is.

That is a interesting take on the templar idea. One of my concerns for this is good guild leaders are hard to find alot of people don’t want to do it including myself. It seems a little harsh to force those players into one class that my not suit their playstyle. Mind you this is if your suggestions apply and they need to use it for content to progress the guild.

cool idea though.

I lead 2 guilds in ro, and let me tell you what class the gl plays isnt what matters the most. The most important part of organized play is the shotcaller. Everytime we had woe/gvg i would just fill with any class that was missing, so at the end i learned to play every ro class “competitively”. And i was still able to shotcall

Yeah I totally agree with you, any decent guild could effectively “create a guildmaster Char” but first, it stills force you to play it until one point ^^ even with friends.
And second, if you, like me, don’t want to play it, then it’s just a ghost char in the guild. And you would need him for guild things I guess, iirc devs told that there would be some guilds dungeons, what if I can enter ONLY with my templar because he’s the official guildmaster ? Same goes for PvP ^^

I’m really looking forward some news from IMC :stuck_out_tongue:

The question isn’t if you can lead as that class. That depends on the person no the class. But if you were forced to play a class you hated in order to be a guild leader would you still do it? My concern is more scaring away potential leaders.

Exactly my point. Creating a guild should be as hard as rewarding, but not like that x)

No as i said in my opinion the templar is not ment as a guild leader just a tool to create the guild and maybe some more secret stuff behind that

Ya know being a guild leader means you also sacrifice in order to gain - if the game wants you to sacrifice your time to spend on a character to create and develope the guild - then why not? Already mentioned in one post my guild leader back in the old days of RO spent hours of grinding to afford pots for us…during WoE…he was so concerned about everything

If people already complain about “but i dont want to create a swordsman in order to make a guild” then why they wanna be a leader at all? its such a small thing to do - my ideal of a leader wouldn complain about such silly things

In many newer games ive seen “guildleader” playing their own game in their very own world - crwating a guild is “cool” and some even brag with that on forums like commenting every post “i am guild leader of bla bla” but i just smile at them and am happy in my chosen one

Like Sephi is saying in RO a lot of people sacrificed time to do a Stalker so it could lead in the war and do the Emergency Recall.
And we still don’t know if the Templar has actually to be the Guild Leader or just a sub-leader or maybe not even in the guild but just being here as some of roleplay like character to give his approval to the guild creation

scare away potential leaders ?? you guys hearing yourself ? its getting ridc as if someone who want to creat a guild and lead it cares about 1 rank they took out of probaly 10.

Man, you know what would be sillier than having a single class be responsible for guild creation? Having to find a super rare drop item from random monsters to be able to make your guild. Limiting guild creation to people who are lucky enough to find a rare item or forcing them to buy it from a player shop for a high price is ludicrous. No way a game with a guild creation system that’s like that could ever be popular :smirk:

Haha i’d laugh hard if IMC is showing the middle finger to people complaining about guild creation in ToS - releasing an exclusive Cash Shop item for 20 Bucks saying “Now ya got something to whine for real”

I see what you did there.

A lot of these people would be offended and aghast by that idea though. That’s too much work. They want things when they want it and in whatever way is most convenient to them. You’d be branded as an elitist if you were to champion that cause. Regardless, you deserve a like. Rejoice!

Templar will probably just sell decree for creating a guild and higher level of the skill will allow bigger guilds. He’ll have to buy prachments similar to Oracle’s Symony and maybe some other item. When you buy a decree you will probably have to pay some money to the NPC to create a guild so that when you want to upgrade your guild to have more people in it you would have to buy higher level decree but won’t have to pay as much to NPCs (cose you already payed for creation).

I’m not sure it’s fun to level up a swordman for any wannabe-guildmaster who don’t like to play this class, even with the help of your firends.
An example. Accept the idea of creating a “fun guild, full of wizards”.
In that case, is it really “fun” to level up a swordman in order to make it? I don’t think so.

But we’ll see “soon” what is IMC’s concept for creating a guild.
