Templar Info from JP FGT

All in all, I do like the concept of guild leaders as a career choice as in EVE but based on what we currently know about the concept I don’t believe they won’t allow Templars to create guilds for others. Forcing small groups to level a specified archetype to create a casual guild would be unreasonable.
On the other hand, I wonder what system would then be in place to find Templars.

Btw, that the class was planned to be a Rank 8 one was already leaked after the FGI in Korea and the Templar class was revealed in Indonesia.

It doesn’t fit in with the melee classes in the Cleric tree at all. It’s a swordsman through and through.

Well, if you don’t see that it affects current and particularly future design and balance of the game… This is offtopic anyway.

The class behing there to create a guild doesn’t means it won’t be usefull in pvp/pve too. If the guild creation is just a skill you still have some skills with it (and if there are 3 circles you can maybe achieve a good utility for yourself/your guild like the squire and his tents.)

Was that for me since I haven’t claimed Templars will have only guild related abilities anywhere? I said I would appreciate such a class if it were available to every archetype.

That aside, I hope guild will have levels, too. That would fit in with the planned boss fights for guilds. For example, you need to enhance some sort of holy stone and socket into your guild emblem.

No no that wasn’t for you precisely i was just saying a fact since i’ve seen some peoples says that they’re happy about this class being for swordsmen and losing a rank for it. ^^ (i forgot who it was i’m not here to attack peoples there is nothing to gain from it, i’m just here to talk and speculate on how it could be and how it could’nt be too since we won’t have the answer before at least october maybe?

There were several people considering and discussing it.
You just clicked on the reply button for my post instead of the one a bit lower so I had to ask :).

You are wrong about that. Some games using Templars as holy/healer classes because just like Paladins they are connected with religion. I think with your logic Paladins would be swordman too. So just by name Templars could be easily on the Cleric tree too in ToS.

I thought it does not fit Cleric tree because of what it is in ToS and how I imagine it. Guild leaders… are leaders… of an… army… Clerics mainly are not about war and such things that’s why it fits much more on the swordman tree. But of course everything is possible and there could be a twist on it. I’m rly just saying the first thing comes to my mind about a guild leader would be a Swordman and not a Cleric.

I make this mistakes most of the time i click on the first reply i can find from time to time ^^

@Ayalon The Clergy started a lot of wars with the Templars and Crusaders you know? ^^ They led a lot of people for their holy wars even if i don’t think they were the one giving the orders of how the troops should comport themselves apart from “go attack this country/city they are the devils” or something like that at this time. But yeah like you said when you imagine some leaders in heroic/fantasy most of the time you think about of a somewhat warrior leader like ^^

Yeah and I could imagine a Wizard leader too…but if I have to choose between the 4 basic classes still swordman is my 1st choice for guild leader.

Btw IRL everything is different because those were still swordman too… That’s why Kachi said Templars should be swordman anyway.

In ESO, for example, but that’s a different context, like in PoE the class Templar can anything as anyone else.
In general, however, Templars are knights but I agree I ignored their affiliation with the clergy. I was too focus on Monk and potentially Lama. We also have the army chaplain in the Cleric tree so it could’ve fit.

Yeah we could have one hidden class per class that can make a guild, giving something different to the guild ^^

I LOVEE the idea of having a hidden class being the only one able to create guilds. Too many wannabe guild leaders nowadays, so its nice that only dedicated people/people willing to sacrifice a rank for it can make them.

So for you, the way it is now, a guild leader HAS TO be a swordman first… Sorry to say that but that’s stupid. A guild leader can be of any class, it depends on the type of guild you want to create ofc.
That’s why the specific guild-making class is a terrible idea.

Sorry but I’m against the idea of “anyone can be a guild leader”. Unless they find a way to make guild requirements really really ■■■■■■■ hard.

Putting some requierements to be able to create a guild, YES. But for everyone.
Not one high-ranked class.

As long as u agree that the requirements should limit the amount of guilds by a lot, then I can agree with you. I expect to see a max of 10 guilds at the end of the first month, more would be silly and remove the importance that guilds could have. I dont want people to see a guild and be like “ugh just another guild”. I want it to be important, only a few in existence.

You mean you want people to accept it when you blindly invite them instead of them telling you to ■■■■ off?

Thats the impression i am getting from what you say.

And why does it matter how many guilds there are ill join a 5 man guild or a 500 man if i like the people. And if that guild doesn’t take the time to talk to me before invites i still tell them to ■■■■ off even if there is only 10 of them.

I agree, I think this is pretty cool.

But this would almost completely lock off guilds for purposes such as RP, friends, social, etc.

I don’t care about empty (or almost) guilds. Some players want to play only with friends, and can play just for a little time…
A limit to the number of guilds, that’s cruel.
To create a guild, it shall only need some requerements (stronger than “reach level 20 and pay 10k silver”).

That sounds much more reasonable then rank 8 lol

Stronger than reach level 120 too, anyone can do that lol.
