Tanks/Melee get too much gear damage

I believe a tank not just need hp, taunt and stay c block all the time through the dungeon. U need evasion (dex) and kiting the monster also.

You still take tons of gear damage. Your point being?

How about your SP cost? A wizard generally chugging down at least 20k per hour too.

No. Im taking less damage from physical and melee mob due to kiting and evasion. So less damage than pure con c block

That depends on whether you want to auto attack or use skills. If I go all out (even with only 3 skills) I would burn around 10k on mana pot per hour.

Mana chugging is like trading silver for time. Everyone can manage if they want to.

Ya, but if you sum up the cost for wizards and tank, while I do agree the tank may still be higher, their difference would not be big.

20k is the amount I use if I don’t really spam my skill. I would imagine it doubles if I really go all out. So, maybe 40k per hour.

The costs aren’t an issue; it’s having to run back to town every 30 minutes to repair. If they sold repair potions (and I definitely don’t think they should) at the item merchant, it wouldn’t really be an issue. The best you can do is carry a second set of equipment, which is fairly awful solution.

I usually repair per hour though.

In my opinion every hour is still too often, but at least it gets you through an entire dungeon run. I’m not saying tanks shouldn’t repair more often. That’s a design choice that is pretty common sadly. The rate at which everyone repairs is way too quickly though, and for tanks it’s absurd.

It may not be big but it adds up.

Also, when you are getting a party, the cost for playing wizard goes down since you can hit everything lured by tank, then sit and rest a bit while waiting for mob to spawn and regen your SP. But for tank, the cost stays since gears will be chipped down regardless how fast you kill mobs.

That’s under the condition when tank is actually good.

Most of the time I have to waste double the sp amount because the tank is wasting my spell.

I am Pelstasta c1>Highlander>c3 and at the lvl 145 dungeon, my equip except the weapon gets red without me dying once. Seems i need to always take a second equipment set if i want to tank :confused:

Indeed. Luckily the 175 dungeon is much better in that regard(and so 160, but you’ll likely never even step foot in there), so your next major dungeon(s) will be better.

This is a really, really bad design flaw.
You just cannot avoid breaking ALL your gear in longer dungeons.
145 is a big offender already - you break all your gear save for weapon/shield by the time you reach the last boss, without dying ONCE, which is beyond frustrating.

And please don’t mention “all tanks MUST go squire” - because this is a) BS b) doesn’t work in “Search for party” mode. Tanks NEED some heavy durability damage mitigation, unless of course, this a blatant cash grab attempt and a “must buy cash shop-exclusive repair kits” move, which is even worse.

System is broken. Even if u getting 1 damage from mobs, armor breaks with same speed, that is really bs.

you could also build in some dex to get a avoids to slow down your armour damage.

well, other people said it helps. guess not by much.

personally, if i’m grinding, I would just go to those repair shops and repair my weapon so it goes beyond the durability limit and forget about the other equips that break. As long as I can kill, I’m fine.
