Tanks/Melee get too much gear damage

Are people even getting that cash item?, didnt it only repair like, 5 durability?

May I know what’s your level now? I don’t really understand why repair is taking too much out of your tank.

Shouldn’t tank only take as little damage as possible unless you are tanking for party?

The only problem i see on repairing is: no matter the equipment damage you have, its always the same cost instead cost per damage point.

dont know the effect if it repairs everything by 5 or on single item by 5 (pretty useless if its only for single item)

Lost 22 dur on equip after 115 dungeon run with my healer. Tonks needed to come back to town and repair. We barely made it under 1 hour (58 mins or so). Everyone was quite unhappy. Good that 115 dungeon is not that long.
C’mon, IMC. Such stealth adjustment w/o even mentioning in the patch notes is cheap as fk. And nerfing tonks even further into oblivion is just retarded.

Would be nice to get some sort of confirmation from IMC that this is an issue.

A lot of the magic damage is locked onto you. As in anything not a firepillar or fireball in average. Meaning ‘dodging’ is null. Your precious dex build with 13k hp or so at level 200 will be hit regardless by around 800 or 1000 per enemy every three seconds.

He literally has no idea what our distress is about and comes here with a really bad form of elitism. But yes, repair bills are hell indeed.

Pelt/hoplight here. And yes. It.does seem a bit off when everyone else in the party that was going to just redo the dungeon immediately, now has to wait for me to head to town just to repair so I dont end up with red equipment halfway through our next run. I think the durability on plate needs a thorough lookthrough. Not saying that it shouldnt be this way. But I should be able to tank 2 dungs in a row without ALL of my armor breaking if im the tank.

Agreed man, just anything to make us last longer would be great. C3 Hoplites also suffer a lot due to low dex because they have Finestra.

Another day of grinding, another day of gear going red long before weapon. IMC please do something about this.

A full 120 set will take around 10k silver per repair at NPC. It doesn’t matter how much damage you take, because I take as low as 1 damage per hit, and my stuff only last 15-20 minutes in crowded areas like demon prison.

If I have a good party then it will last 30-40 minutes. But on average I spend at least 20-30k per hour on repair, not counting the wasted time running back to find the blacksmith.

At level 155, where I can find roughly 80-100k per hour in demon prison, that’s like 25-30% income down into repair.

Still no sign from IMC :frowning:

Durability damage isnt based on damage taken, but on number of hits. So having more magic defense wont make your durability drop slower. [quote=“Dream, post:60, topic:204511”]
back on CBT2

I wasnt around then, but from what I could tell it was a lot easier to make silver then; so im not sure how well CBT exp transfers to now.

Yes, but unless you die; only your accessories will take durability damage from that.

I feel its more the opposite way around, and your post is a good example of that.

Look at how much it costs to repair each equip at the repair NPC and compare it with some of the player’s repair shops. Sometimes certain items are cheaper to repair from players.

I managed to get my equipment down to 30% durability in around 15-20 minutes today soloing. Granted I was being hit literally nonstop that entire time, but that is still very annoying.

I know that already. With zero mdef you are pretty much dead in the water unless you have a really good party. Still, gear damage for melee is the problem here.

well said, awesome quote.
