Yup, I’ve been waiting for this game for years, so the first 2 days I no lifed it. The exp rates are a problem because this is the early game, and the only progression available to us is to gain levels or sit in town making friends. So when literally the only option is to grind for hours, what exactly is it that we are meant to test after this point? We have heard the music, read the quests, seen the visuals and used the features. All that is left is to grind for hours.
Some people like the EXP as it is, but to them I ask. At level 250 or 500, what ever it will be. Once they hit maximum level, will they really create another class? Those who are lvl 60+ haven’t tried to experience the other classes and check the balancing there because it’s too long, and those who have aren’t nearly as high level. I mean it makes sense, but if this game were easier to level, I’d see many more people experimenting with various classes, and it would probably end up being a better test environment. That’s not so much a complaint, but just how it is right now, hopefully CBT2 in a few months will play differently.
EDIT: If they intentionally make the exp rates lower, I’d appreciate some transparency from IMC games to tell us that we are currently working at 0.25x rates to test the early game of the server. Rather than keeping us guessing. If they don’t tell us, what can they expect other than an equally honest critique of their game?
