@daays IMC has already stated clearly that “automating certain actions within the game that violate normal gameplay mechanics” is bannable offense. What you are arguing here is the classification of the word “bot”. Yes a macro isn’t like a bot which has some form of AI which detects and chooses a choice in which the pattern matches.

However a chain of macros that simulate button/key/mouse movement and presses can be stringed together to run indefinitely. This allows the user to AFK while the “simple script” runs itself over and over again to progress the character along, like a poorly done BOT with only 1 option/choice to do.

IMC banned you for using automation to play their game. Both BOTs and chained MACROs that can iterate itself fall under that category.

Hope this is clear to you, I really don’t know what you are trying to justify. To prove that macros technically isn’t a bot?

Do you just intentionally gloss over the fact that Staff_Max didn’t ban Momohime, who was botting directly in front of him the entire time?

These situations are easy to handle.

You either perma ban both, or you do the more intelligent thing and have different penalties for offenders.
First time offense? 24 hour ban, notice of why, link to ToS.
Second offense? 1-4 week ban, notice of why, link to ToS.
Third offense? GG wp.

Simple.

Instead I get perma banned, while Momohime keeps farming in front of him.

Why not 10 times then? From 5 minutes to 1 month.

Common sense dictates that they have no ways to tell a click/move macro from a crappy bot really.

I would suggest IMC makes a clear statement on what is/isn’t allowed (macros that move vs holding down the key) - but as far as I can tell from what I read its NOT okay - nor really is that attitude.

Your ban was inevitable. Even if you hadn’t been reported directly by this guy, you’d have been flagged by enough people eventually to be banned automatically, because what you’re doing is blatantly botting. “No I was just using macros”, what do you think a bot is, some complicated AI? It’s just a set of waypoints and a simple script telling it to smack things and use abilities when available. You just go one step short of that and let your summons do the work for you. It’s still receiving benefits from not playing the game.

Honestly I don’t think you’re stupid enough to really be mad about being banned for botting, I think you’re just mad because you believed you were being clever enough to circumvent it. You weren’t, sorry.

I like how in all your pseudo intellectual response, you failed to understand the issue at hand.

Here I’ll bullet point:
Blanket statement on 3rd party scripts.
GM’s banning randoms, since they don’t have software to detect bots
Your report bot function does nothing
Me getting rekt while at the same time, the GM not banning the most well known botter on Klapedia. Even though that bot was botting directly in front of him.
