    you have to keep in mind that staff bob is capable to check and confirm whether it’s a hack or bug. basically, independently propel proof

What happen after the investigation if u find a player is proven guilty? a reward ? or punishment?
by making a simple investigation may lead to wrongful punishment.

if it in my experience even if 1000++ report have been done but no solid evidence lead to wrongdoer there is nothing u can do beside finding solid evidence.

IMC already solved this issue now… the case closed

Hopefully IMC is taking the approach of not letting even a single criminal escape even it take years to do it :haha: gogo IMC

i am answering your question regarding the 1st point and want to stress the point of making simple investigation.

It didn’t go through a “thorough” (in terms of how complicated it is, not in terms of how conclusive it is) investigation. It was finished as soon as Bob handled it, the issue was when the report actually reached Bob.

My point is that a lot of issues, bugs, exploiters and other such reports don’t reach relevant staff as easily as you think, that’s why the response isn’t as consistent or as fast as people hope it is.

Part of it is incompetence by ticket or forum staff (those that don’t understand the content of the report and just ask for additional requirements or clarification because they need to filter incomplete reports out before they forward it to the next department). Another part of it is that players themselves don’t submit complete reports or don’t manage to get their message across clearly. Keep in mind that we’re working with language barriers here from non-native English speaking players to ticket/forum staff then finally to actual IMC staff who also don’t speak English as a first language.

as you can see with @Ersakoz’s screencaps (aside from many others) it sure reached relevant staff, though it seems that nothing was actually done

let’s also not forget gm francis is the first respondent in this case scanario, let’s try not to steer into “because bob is here now” Owo

Francis is part of the forum staff that just asks for more details and more complete reports as far as I can tell, unlike Bob who seems to play the game and knows right away if something is wrong.

And I’m not talking about the case specifically, I’m talking about the general picture. For this case, I can only say that the reason that it got dealt with is indeed Bob, for the reasons I just mentioned.

Imho the previous staff didn’t have the power to deal with the case directly, and had to forward it to other departments. Then my only guess is that after gathering what they could, it still never reached people like Bob who could do something about it.

So yes, this time the case reached someone who could directly deal with it without going through red tape.

It’s alright, I’m only throwing guesswork anyway. The only people that can tell you what happened with the previous reports are the staff that dealt with it, and I doubt they’ll actually explain what happened.

Also I’m at least thankful that something was done, and hoping for more like this against players that hurt the game by ruining the experience for others.
