Sorcerer Info Megathread

It depends of your build, if you plan going full summoner: get attributes for Heavy armor only, do not get the robe attribute because they increase your SP pool. Use heavy and switch to robe items with INT before summoning, then change back to heavy.

If you’re planning using a lot of spells keep an entire set robe, but do not increase the attibute as you can’t deactivate armor-type attributes.

I plan to be dual type. And use full summon or full dps when needed. Maybe i will use both sets occord situation. Thank you

Can you summon both salaminion and the normal summon at the same time?

hi! thanks for the insight.

additional question, if ok… how hard does corpse tower hit? no description in tosbase so im clueless…

Only 700 damage/hit atk speed same as 2h-staff auto attack shot. Tower can push back by boss skill and stay silent if out of range

Yes can summon everything you have at once. Salamion dont eat your SP, just last for 60 seconds on 1st level up to 200sec on highest level.

I have originally wanted to run salamion alongside the devil boss but when I saw the thread’s build, the OP was going for familiars instead of the salamion. Are the familiars better?

Salamion LV1 enough If you don’t mind for his damage.
Familiar is better at higher circle.

1 Familiar do 800 damage, just imagine 15 Familiars bomb at the same time (with Link).

I just hit sorcerer C1 a few days ago. The SP drain is harsh so I just use it for boss. All in all not so bad.

I don’t get the skill order for the circles.

Servant, Salamion, and familiar should be pushed to C2. Attack and hold should be moved to C1.

Holy hell is the tether range the range of my wifi signal . . . almost non existent (lol). It looks to be about 25% of window screen. I get why they make short leash so you summons don’t just go attacking stuff that is off screen but dam man, at least make it within the screen.

I’m kind of torn between Sala and Familiar, Sala seems awful and useless. I think bats will do more damage in the burst then sala can do in a 35 second period.

Imo if your doing a full sorcerer circle, bats would be better, just put salamion on 1, though get his blind attribute

I guess they changed controls to C2 because almost everyone in iCBT was sorcerer->alchemist, sorcerer->necromancer… it makes some sense that you have to invest a little in your class to optimal use of it…

Even if I dislike the change I try to understand why they did it, BUT! not with our current AI and leash range… we have to chose between let summon attack and die for boss’ AoE or run away and lose so much DPS waiting the summon decide attack again.

I would love at least attack ground on C1. I’d swap servant to C2 if I had attack ground to C1

It’s not optimal if you give at least one command to the C1. I mean they made that tether leash SO SHORT that the summons don’t bother attacking half the time you move. If the leash was a bit longer I wouldn’t be that “annoyed”.

I know every game that ever had minion base class has either.

  • Bad AI (ALWAYS)
  • Bad minion path ( 50% of the time)
  • Stubborn attack pattern

The third one this game seems to throw out the door with the super short leash. If your summon is not ridding on top of you it won’t attack lol. I can’t tell what is worst having minions that constantly attack a mob until it dies . . . or one that constantly re position itself 2 inches from you.

Is there any way to farm boss cards for synthesis?

@Setmaster the level 50 dungeon is easy to solo at 170 probably eailier i didnt bother until 170 but the cubes only cost 20k to reroll for cheap cards. I run that for cards and any do any world boss you can. If you can run them quickly any dungeon with multiple bosses that can drop cards.

Hey. I’m planning on going Sorcerer and I have been reading a few builds for it.
The build I liked the most was Wiz>Cryo/Pyro>Linker2>Sorc2>R7. My first problem with it is that I can’t decide if cryo or pyro as rank 2. Does pyro1 damaging skills stay relevant at later levels or I wouldn’t be using them at all? I imagine people go cryo for the cc but wouldn’t I be missing damage?
As for rank 7… probably sorc3… praying for buffs since I heard it was pretty underwhelming.

Honestly with all this talk about how terrible the sp drain is I was really looking forward to something really bad. I was positively surprised how it really is, it seems very manageable to me and the fact how sorcerers gain access to better sp regen without a summon for me balances it out quite nicely.
Just gotta toggle smartly like with any skill in any game that has an infinite up time with constant drain, you obviously aren’t supposed to be able to keep it up 100% of the time or if you are there’s a price to pay, seems completely reasonable to me. I feel like the sp regen will really start paying off after rank 8 or well 7 if you go just circle 2 since you won’t have to use summon all the time if you go for dps classes.

I wouldn’t even mind if this never changed, I feel like more important things to deal with are the other summon balances compared to temple shooter and the usability of c3 skills. Other than those I’m very positively surprised how well this class actually works. Sure AI improvements are needed still but they’ll come eventually.

The sp drain is pretty bad at the start especially when Sorc is introduce pretty “late” in the game. You gotta invest some points into sp regen and you can sustain the sp pretty well.

Riding is a pretty weak skill in my honest opinion I would rather it be turn into something that just triggers a skill of the boss from a distance. I mean hell just remove all the skills from boss and leave them with one and changing riding skill to trigger that instead of you having to jump on top of the thing and then cast the skill.

Yeah it doesn’t seem that strong at the moment but I feel like with the balancing on summon and AI fixing etc. they could really give some nice opportunities with this.
I would love to see summons based more on auto attacks and some based more on riding and the skills they have with a nice balance there so both could be good options to go for and it would only really be of your own preference. I feel like it has a lot of potential but is still imcomplete. I also feel like evocation could get some help from this with using some really good summon skills in the future so it would be a nice situational skill with lots of options to go with. Would definitely bring a lot of value and interest in picking c3 with sorc, one can only hope.

The riding skill needs some bugfixes and love some summons skills don’t work and some summons have no skills at all (Nuaele) or skills to slow to be of any use (Deathweaver). Its pretty unbalanced at the moment but I’m hoping it gets looked at. Edit also for how bad the riding skill is overall the increased sp drain while using it is insulting.

does arde dagger affects summoning damage? what’s the better choice? arde dagger + rod or staff? i’m a pyro3 + sorc2 future sorc3
