It is really laughable how you have no argument at all. Apart from the failed attempts of defending yourself by saying that you want end-game gear for pvp too which you can’t get cause it’s monopolized.
How about you actually play the game so you get the money for the end-game gear as I quote you saying.
Why afk farm when you could get so much more from active gameplay. So you could. Quote.
Greetings @Borel !
We are sorry to inform that there will be nomonster regeneration rate update >on kTos yet.Currently we are considering that some AFK farm changes >with our dev team Ask for your patience while the issues are resolved. We >will update you once through our forum again Once again, we >apologize for the inconvenience…
Lol at this pedrolauro guy trying so hard to justify the legitimacy and necessity of AFK farming, mainly using the argument “I don’t have time to play, so I want the game to play for me.”
Sorry to break it to you, but if you don’t have time to play an MMO, then you probably shouldn’t be playing it. That’s what MMOs are, they’re massive time sinks. Always have been, always will.
If you want to pvp then play fighting games or mobas, you know, games that are actually dedicated to pvp. If you want a game that just plays for you, then maybe stick to facebook browser games, that seems more your speed.
These people should’ve been banned from the start. Between them and the bots the game’s economy is already totally ■■■■■■ from inflation. Now the only way to make any decent amount of silver if you’re coming in fresh instead of being an established botter/afk farmer is to cross your fingers and pray for .001% drops.
Out of all the many problems with this game, how is this even a priority? >_>
For real though, when all the AFK levellers leave and the population drops even more, will you still feel like this accomplishes anything? If you think the economy is bad now just wait until theres only 500 people on the server.
I guess. It’s just hard for me to muster morale outrage for something that literally has almost no effect on me, whereas the dying population is a serious issue that will end up shutting the game down, even the morally upstanding whiteknights won’t get to play at that point.
Sure no obligation, but here’s the thing: I don’t wan’t TOS to die, I would rather IMC focus on un-screwing the important things to get more people to start playing/start playing again instead of doing stuff like this that will only drive more people away.
@heavensend - In case you are assuming, I don’t AFK farm. It’s not something I would ever do because that isn’t how I enjoy my games. That being said I don’t really care if other people do. Yeah it is a little annoying trying to finish the quests in bee farm/etc with all the AFKers, but its such a small portion of the game that it doesn’t bother me. Also, IDK why you assume that necros will be replaced with new players. What new players are you talking about? Have you seen the pop stats? We are hemorrhaging players badly.
Since you answered to me with some pieces of misunderstanding and misinformation, let me clear some parts for you, for the other parts I am completely ignoring since they go into personal attack which is off-topic, you can PM those to me if you want to discuss anything about leveling characters or non-afk ways of making silver.
People does stay all day AFK, there are different people in AFK farming, in a summary you have: People who never play and just open the game to AFK, people who stay AFK all day but stop it to do dailies then go back, people who stay AFK for a few hours and people who “I don’t even think it is worth opening the game to stay AFK” and just AFK sometimes or don’t open the game at all.
Main source: Friends/people around who AFK.
Whenever we say that active gameplay gives more silver than AFK farm we’re assuming that someone will keep doing dailies over and over and will never be busy. A few hours/day gives X amount of silver but entire 8-24 hours AFK gives maybe X3/2 or X2 amount of silver.
It’s the same compared to selling a small number of expensive things against selling a lot more but slightly less priced.
But for that we’re talking about a given piece of the community: Mainly, the long/mid-term players. It is not everyone who can farm for X amount of silver daily even with available time to do so. Since they’re in higher number compared to the smaller piece that actively can farm that much silver outside dailies I can say that the average silver the group of AFK players make are higher than the average silver than non-AFK players make.
Although a lot of players doesn’t AFK farm for several reasons this system does affects everyone because a lot of the reasons I already said before. Changes in game economy -> affects everyone, Messed up items prices -> affects everyone, Devaluation of playing effort -> affects everyone and on.
“Legally, yes” - That’s exactly why we are discussing this topic. Warlock (and other) botters aren’t something to be discussed to begin with, they’re illegal and should be sanctioned.
Tips: Make a Wiz3Linker -> Necro or a PyroLinker -> Necro; Give feedback to IMC about how to make Necromancer a better class; Find ways to make your class work.
By the way, one of my friends farmed all his Lv.315 legendary weapon materials on his Necro even before the 80% defense by rank game mechanic.
Some players gain around 30m by AFK farming a month, others gain around 80m. Let’s get this example: one Solmiki Boots/Gauntlets needs around 20m to be crafted and if someone is selling, they will prolly ask around 20m for the team/time spent for now: 40m for one item, 80m for both items. To farm these two Solmiki gears one needs 20 days of no fails, good gears on everyone, a full team ready for farming.
One can simply AFK for 30 days, 10 days more than it would be needed to farm the two Solmiki items, with no effort but simply AFK farming. 10 days can be considered a long time.
But my main point was to not think only about one player AFK farming. But everyone AFK farming. If players are making around 80m, 50m and around 30m per channel on 7 channels, there are around 1 billion silver being generated by month which greatly affects the game and everyone playing.
Just a random fact: Most players I see AFK farming already have transcended weapons and PvP-ready and keep farming. Some even stay in Dina Bee with their Practonium weapon to increase summon’s damage.
By the way, all my ways of making silver can be done by anyone, there are no monopolization of field maps with seven channels. We’re not bound anymore to monopolized boss rewards like in the past. But… what I want? I want people playing to get silver instead of not playing to get silver.
