Funny you say that because i remember you were talking about how A2>R1>Sc1>F3 and I’m at F1 now and I really really loath this play style. I hate the fact that you have to craft arrows and this build feels more like a wizard than an archer. Archer shouldn’t be shooting arrows and firing magic sht once every 15 seconds. They should be constantly spamming arrows even if it’s AA. And so I’m looking for QS3 builds and since I know the benefit of A2 passive I was thinking A1>QS3>A2 and then probably SR2 even though I heard SR2 got nerfed where you can’t use retreat shot with an important QS3 skill but I’m not going for the best cookie cutter build anymore. I just want to have fun with my archer. I got my cookie cutter boring build of Wiz3/Ele3 wizard anyway along with more potential sorcerer wizard that can age well once 8 and 9 comes out.

I think QS3 style AA archer on a mount with SR is just so cool. But are you going SR1 and then cannoneer/muskateer or are you just going SR2?

What is the best stat for sr? Cannot decide what to do

wouldn’t the r3 - sr2 build still the meta here? it will only deal less damage but pretty much have the same up time in steady aim and running shot with cryo/krivis/diev buffs. or am i missing something here?

btw. does steady aim increases your final damage output the same way attributes do? if not, any proven and legit equation/formula?

well, retreat shot is also bugged in our version, korean version has it fixed ofc.

Also the “new” meta is basically circling with cannon, as circling overall provides a massive buff to the whole group and elememe wizard, while doing tons of damage.

with cannoneer you can hit 20+ mobs in ET at once, it outdamages SR by far…i dont even know how such a skill can exist, leveling past level 5 is even POINTless, making falcon 1 the best “aoe” skill there is.

are you referring to the retreat shot + running shot fix? would that contribute a significant portion of your damage with a perma retreat shot?

well i think it’s just me but the party composition was either gimmicky or too rigid. but hey, it worked and they delivered

i agree with circling. tho it is more of a one size fits all class. There may be other builds that require taking other archer classes or other entirely different line-up. but i doubt that.

You say the new meta is falcon cannoner, but the highest floor clears of ET in both KToS and itos features an SR2

You also forgot to mention how cannoneer gets hindered by the damage cap and wasted damage potential on mobs with less hp cause of burst.

Yeah I don’t get it, cannon’s main skill is a 5 second cd that only does 1 instance of damage, so it gets literally no benefit from PASS

Meanwhile retreat shot does 42 hits on 10 monsters with numbers that go easily into the 15k+ range per hit if enemies are debuffed with lethargy (this is on my qs3 mind you, so those numbers are 20-25% higher for rangers)

I’ll admit circling + magic missile is pretty potent though, but you’re pretty much a walking circling debuff at that point.

“easily” i wouldnt say that, you need very TOP gear in order to get 15k crits. mainhand/offhand +15, double glad band etc pp. Its not achievable with our steady aim version anyway.

Also cannon blast is the main burst of cannoneer, it can up for 80k on 15+ targets. You also forget about multishot aoe with circling.

We will have to wait and see for cannon c2 and reiter c3 to see how to goes on.

No, I’m not even close to super geared or even max level for that matter and I’m doing 15-16k Crits in storage grinding parties.

I just have standard bis gear and level 60 retreat shot, so definitely a lot of room for improvement.

I don’t have steady aim either.

storage is not earth tower, he even got 94 in attribute.

what do you even mean with “standard” bis gear, if you have double glad band, max penta, manana and call it “stnadarrd” bis gear, then you already have BIS gear…

You do understand how lethargy works in this game right? It doubles retreat shot damage.

So in an ET setting for the DPS floor check phases, he’d easily be doing almost 30k damage per retreat shot tick.

Retreat shot is strike damage? The skill claims to be missile type. Why would Lethargy having an interaction with it be obvious? You are talking about the wizard C1 skill, yes?

afaik, missile can either be strike or pierce. some archer skills can also benefit from spear lunge debuff (+ pierce damage)

yeah, i understand how to works. I dont argue that when you have a full slave comp for SR, SR will be better. But for 95% of the players cannon/falconeer will be outperforming SR every time, for a small group that double slave SR there is nothing better for sure.

SR is pretty much the only archer that get effective strike attacks.

all others are pretty much all about pierce.

Apparently Lethargy is every where since its R1 skill, as well as with Pass, its easy to find Chrono3 these days.

Well, getting a Krivis3 for Melstis can be called as “slave” as its not common :wink:

(but the hell, who’s going ET without CHRONO 3?!? which also can have LETHARGY)

maybe in just 2 seconds it will out damage SR because of its burst, but it is mediocre vs with almost 100% uptime of RS with its “slave” team.

But anyway, maybe during grinding, Falc + Cannon might outperform SR :wink:

BIS gears would be over-ups weapon, high lvl atts and OP hair costumes…

well boom trap is nice, but i wouldnt call sapper 2 future proof at all. You basically get 2 circles for one ability and thats it. Gets even worse when ppl go sapper 2/ wugushi 2 as wugushi even scales utterly terrible into late game.
