Say Yes to job reset

I wish you people would explain your reasoning instead of just saying “no”. You might as well not post.

I am strongly against a class reset will just cheapen the entire feel of progression.

A build is a commitment and you must live with your choices knowing how big of a commitment you are making prior to class changing you should have done your research first.

You don’t trade your girlfriend in every time you argue or get frustrated with her, you make it work. if its simply not going to work you move on and start over.

Say Yes to job reset!!!

they have no good reasoning . most of them are the people building the 2 top builds and dont want more people to do thins or god forbid fines a stronger builds. some just want this game to be as a small as a privet server.

Did you not just do the same exact thing but with pro resets?

if i say i am trade your girlfriend in every time from time to time wjat then?
stop say “no” and give reasons.

I gave you a reason, ^

I will say that most dont and dont like change. If anything allowing people to actually experiment with builds and change them around will allow people to not just sit there with pen and paper but have actual testing. If anything not letting people reset jobs means its a bit harder to trial and error things to the point where you end up just cookie cutting builds instead of making your own. Failure in that would lead to people not wanting to do anything adventurous and would stagnant the game.

Nope… also Guild Wars II doesn’t have skill point / talent resets for a reason… its because it would be abused and im sure the same would happen on TOS

Because one person did it did not mean it was correct or the right way to go for this game.

I made a pretty unique adventurous build from scratch that can compete with any other cookie cutter builds of my class in pve and outperform most of them in pvp.

You want to know why it works? because i did my homework. Offering a reset won’t help make the game not “Stagnant” if anything it will just lower retention if anyone can be whatever they want to be instantly then they don’t have to put in the time and work it takes to create a build.

Sounds like you just want an easier game and there is plenty out there.

I actually do agree with most of this, however I also feel as if the root of the problem is more that the player options can vary from “This is the Meta” to “This doesn’t actually work at all because x skill doesn’t work with y skill”. Which is a problem that sticks regardless of if there is a class respec. I truly think if the game allowed for every choice to work with your previous selections it would narrow the end results in player builds from “Most efficient” to “It works” which allows for players to pick what they enjoy which is how it should be anyways. In a scenario like that I believe the respec only serves to allow players to swap classes based on what is efficient and thus is only really disrupting commitment with your choices. If someone is too afraid to make their own decisions in an environment where everything DOES work with previous selections then they would have picked meta builds anyways.

Edit: In an ideal tree of savior there isn’t a bad advancement option and as such there shouldn’t ever be a need to fix a mistake. Your choices would come down to what is the most efficient option vs what you would get the most enjoyment out of which is how player choice should work in my honest opinion.

Guild Wars II have builds on the lvl of this game?lol?
gw2 give reset from time to time as well. didnt play for a long long time , log in wow all my points and skills got reset. so what will you say now. gw2 as not a good example as well as its not in the top 10 mmorpg or any thing, if any its going down after the expansion.

Lol. Do some looking. There are plenty of reasons that have been said time and time again.

I could just randomly say “i just want to see a reason for your wanting class resets. you havent done it yet” every hour and be doing the same thing your doing right now.

So, where is the staff to end this debate?

@STAFF_Ethan @STAFF_John @Staff_Julie @hkkim

YES, which you can grind class 1 - 15 again! o yes! so fun grinding

I personally agreed with his sentiment, I feel it is more that the people whom just say yay or nay don’t truly contribute to a conversation, it isn’t until they explain why they say yay or nay that you can have a discussion. All that happens when people post one word responses is you end up with 800+ posts like we currently have spread around in various locations on the forums, a large portion of which lack any sort of content that can actually provide anything to the conversation it just floods the forums. The forums shouldn’t be treated like a strawpoll, it should be for discussions which is what I got out of squirrelmob73’s original comment, despite it being directed at someone whom said no class resets while I myself would prefer the game to not have them either.

I’d agree if they didnt keep saying the same thing. I’ve personally said countless times why class resets in this game is bad. Others have as well. I come back later to one of these threads and someone again says “I havent seen any reasons”. It just keeps making us go in circles.

maybe if IMC will give them 1(one) time class reset. I think the case will be closed by doing that
