I agree with pretty much everything that person said. Underneath the nice environments and good OST is a bunch of boring gameplay.
Quests were lame - something I’d expect from a console RPG not an MMO. I don’t mind quests were you have to run around grabbing thing as or running errands but every single quest in this game was just boring, no variation. With such interesting lore, there should be quests where we get to explore the land and find out about the story and the world. As well as the basic ‘go get this’ quest.
Combat - I played as a cleric, a very OP one I might add. I loved that as well as being able to be a support I could also defeat every boss by myself without relying on a party. But combat was repetitive, the cleric lacked buffs considering it’s a support class.
Monsters were cool design wise, but terrible, terrible AI. Like I said, I was able to kill every boss by myself (cleric) without dying once most of the time. The only one I had trouble with was the last mine boss
EXP rates were terrible, no I’m not lazy. I don’t mind grinding. But in ToS this felt so boring and repetitive I would chose to do my college essay and have more fun. From the very beggining exp rates were steep, don’t even wanna imagine when you get to later levels e.g 90
As for cool down time, I’m okay with it. It adds more of a challenge.
