Running Shot nerfed in KTOS?

Some dude on reddit was saying how running shot additional damage doesn’t crit in KTOS, is this true? Only your normal auto attacks crit and then additional running shot damage is added on top

Can anyone confirm?

Perfect

that not possible… running shot was the “ONLY” skill added on the third circle of QS and they going to nerf it? :rage:

maybe you misunderstood the information. maybe what you heard is “Only the normal attack will Crit”. meaning if you use running shot + other skill such as oblique , heavyshot, and fletcher arrow will not Crit. only the benefit of attack speed will be used.

link it please
thank you

This nerf actually makes sense with the running shot tooltip description. It uses the word “additional damage”, which means it should only add damage and not multiply it. however in itos, running shot acts like a multiplier (x3.8 damage with grand cross)

I wonder if they could just make it like cafrisun effect if that would be the case “additional damage” lol.

meaning if you have cafrisun and update this running shot then you have 3 hits per shot… and if you have other buff you got more hits per shot lol

not my thread, just found it while browsing reddit

if it does i think it’s an correct the “Additional Damage” part that write in RS skill description

every skill in ToS which write Additional Damage are adding an flat number that does not crit

if it’s an correct patch that means it’s no nerf it’s bug fixed
RS at the time is: increased damage by x % not additional damage like what it write on it’s description

I’m pretty sure what happens with Running shot is that while it visually adds an extra line, the backend of the skill is treated as a single line and those two numbers you see are just two random numbers that both add up to the total damage.

So I have a grand cross which has a damage variance of 10, so it’s pretty consistent. However, whenever I attack with running shot, the number totals always show widely different values like 2.9k + 5.4k or 3.6k + 3.8k, but the total damage is always the same with 0-10 variance.

This isn’t the only skill that does this, Spiral Arrow, Twin Arrows, Barbed Arrow are also known to show this behavior.

So I think what’s happening is that elemental damage and bonus damage (blessing) gets added to each line, but the crit attack does not.

i have yet to see an mmo that doesnt use “additional damage” as part of a skill’s tooltip description.

Im 100% sure crit attack gets multiplied by 3.8 and gets added to your main auto attack (only your main auto attack though, not to additional lines of damage due to cafrisun/blessing/etc). Tested this 10 minutes ago.
If this “fix” comes to iTOS, crit attack won’t get multiplied anymore

The damage attributes use the description “increases damage dealt on an enemy by X%”, which implies a multiplier. Running shot description says “additional damage” which means just that, it should only add damage

Please imc dont follow this path. This can only make the qs3 useless compared with ranger. If steady aim gets buff and running get nerf, we never see a qs again.

I hate it when IMC take the easy route.
Instead of buffing other class to match this level, they nerf it so other classes can match to it.
Cheap!

And i dont see any good reasons to nerf it, excepted that stupid thing “it doesn’t suppose to work in this way at the begining”, but what is the matter. Already you can see people saying QS is weak.

just because it’s a bug so it need a fix not nerf
also QS c3 is too popular, make RS weaker will make other class have a chance to pick

I agree with this. iTOS is a Tree of QS

When you run with a mission or instance you always end up having 1 to 4 QS every single time, this makes the Class paths boring, we have 50+ classes and player just ended up having the same paths because its powerful, YES! QS IS OP! dont deny it, you choose QS because it can clear mobs and boss with ease. I also have a lvl 210+ QS but i feel bored seeing players on the field with the same paths taken and relying on only 1 skill (running shot). I just rerolled.

If a class is overpowered it’s not a solution to overpower also the other classes.

But QS is not overpowered. Running shot doesnt have many combos with higher ranks. When you pass level 200 u see much less QS because the lack of AOE.
