Recommended STR for Clerics?

I finished reading through this thread:

…and got to wondering what would be a recommended minimum for any physical attack oriented Cleric like Paladins and Inquisitors.

Based on the math they did all of them will need some STR, but after a certain point it will be better to switch to DEX for the critical hits. I looked at the spreadsheets, but I can’t seem to wrap my mind around them and so I am left wondering what would be a good rule-of-thumb minimum STR for Clerics

With the pending release of the R8 Inquisitor I think maybe we should brainstorm (or compute, but I am no mathematician) what that value should be. Technically even SPR and INT builds could benefit from knowing something like this.

I went ahead and did it for Cleric as well since I already done Swordsman and Archer.

Cleric

level 330 Cleric + sissel + peta + 3 level 7 green gem
atk < 3071 = full STR
atk > 4289 = full DEX
above + leather lolopanther set
atk < 3517 = full STR
atk > 4603 = 100% crit rate
crit resist 130 (no lolopanther)
atk < 2253 = full STR
atk > 3319 = full DEX
crit resist 130 + lolopanther
atk < 2700 = full STR
atk > 3607 = full DEX
crit resist 200
atk < 1813 = full STR
atk > 3034 = full DEX

level 330 Cleric + sissel + peta + 3 level 7 green gem + Monstrance
atk < 1947 = full STR
atk > 3442 = 100% crit rate
crit resist 200
atk < 971 = full str
atk > 2510 = full dex

level 330 Cleric + sissel + peta + 3 level 7 green gem + Monstrance + Quicken
atk < 1378 = full STR
atk > 2853 = 100% crit rate
crit resist 200
atk < 1003 = full STR
atk > 2631 = 100% crit rate

As always, this only takes the damage formula up until crit attack because everything after that point is extra damage multipliers that don’t change the outcome. Also, this is assuming monster defense of 0, so it will be higher in practice.

Seriously has me a bit bummed because [lycanthropy] from druid c3 will be adding 3k atk while [henge stone] will be adding 50% atk/matk (if I understand both skills correctly). The other r8 skills clear that damage too. It’s like r8 pretty much shat on every pure STR build (which was generally the case pre-r8).

Now on the bright side, I haven’t use my stat points on my 232 druid yet.

@Reilet
WOW!!! Thank you for that!

I can do it for wizards as well… (It’s exactly the same as clerics lol).

Your welcome.
