Yes we all agree to that but if you’ll ask me i’d rather not touch the wizards as they are happy with what they have right now well clerics can use a little nerf but why should we ask those classes to get nerfed when they can just buff swordsmen to make them on par with the said classes?
as i have said before i really don’t like nerfing other classes just so that there would be equality, just leave them be and buff the one who’s in the end of the string because in most cases when those who are on top gets nerfed alot of people especially the metards will unleash rant rages just like what swords are doing now and that’s what we are preventing from happening.
look at ktos discussion in the general sub forum now lol its getting spammed with sword rants everyday and people are getting annoyed from them and sometimes starts a flame war rofl.
fencer and dragoon = top tier dps on ktos , if u not have ktos account shut up guy , dragoon now have dethrone 16k base damage 2 overheart and 16 sec cd , and 1 100% damage debuff ( after serpentine all swordsman skill hit 2x+) fencer have crit buff and now crit 40k+ with aa , ( sage missile hole nerfed now it only block 16 hits)

I have no issues with wizards until they throw stuff like “you don’t know how to play swordman” on me <.<
I hate those entitled players who think any changes that take #1 spot from them are bad change.
Doppel is better. Dethrone doesn’t even do as much damage as skyliner.
Duo dethrone does the damage of a single cyclone (non DOV stacked).
Except it is much faster.
It is too early to say how classes are in kTOS.

My scout c3 can also solo level 145 dungeon, that doesn’t say anything.
About #1 DPS, dragoon c2 is already nerfed, don’t use that outdated info anymore.
People should wait for more info before claming X is #1 dps.
Even when dragoonc2 was not nerfed, i bet it was that way because KRs didnt have enough time to explore and test.
Anyone who’s claiming that Swordsmen are balanced don’t understand the actual problem with Swordsmen. The absolute core issue with them, is melee. There are other issues like skill scaling and magic defence, but it all really comes down to melee. The benefits of additional HP are not worth fighting in melee at all. Slow animations make many skills flat out miss, to no fault of your own, knockdown once again cancels skills, even an entirely focused DPS Swordsmen will have extra trouble because of melee. Any AOE attack they won’t be prepared for. And this is on top of all the other issues. Having a few decent skills in R8 (with some already nerfed) does not fix literally all the other problems with the class. I hate complaining, there is too much of it on the forums, but those who claim Swordsmen are fine are just wrong. They’re just objectively wrong.

Your build is the exception to the rule, and there is no doubt skill plays a part in how well you do. But everything I said does apply to PVE, and for almost all PVP builds as well.
The advantage clerics have isn’t their melee attack though, it’s their utility.

I also enjoy my swordman the most, that’s the whole reason I’m sticking to this forum arguing with people.
The real problem isn’t that swordman has no advantages, it’s that everything swordman can do, other trees can do better. Be it tank, or DPS, or support.
Living in the shadow isn’t fun for anyone.
Yes I can solo grind everything up to 280, I can kill pretty much everyone in TBL, I can be #1 boss DPS in dungeon. But that doesn’t change the fact that other trees can do that better than me no matter how much I try.
Swordman is only best at luring, which is stupid.
I agree that many people think Swordsmen are worse than they actually are, and I’m enjoying my Swordsman too. And it’s obvious what IMC thought when they made Swordsmen, they’re in melee so give them more HP, which is more balanced (I’d argue still not fully balanced though) in the early game, but by around level 200 there’s a wall. Suddenly magic damage is incredible, suddenly a Swordsman can’t afford to take a hit and have to just start running around, and due to melee, they get much less time to stand there and swing at the enemy, then on top of that many of their skills are weak due to scaling problems. It’s just many problems that all add up and there it is, a weaker, unbalanced class compared to the others.
I once proposed that swashbuckling to apply its effects on player characters in pvp scenario. The effect on PC is that it would force the PC to autolock for a few second on the last swordie that casted swashbuckling.
