Wow… this was kind of unexpected. Time to get full miki/velco sets and wastrel/asio weapons for our characters!

Perfect timing, I just hit 380 and quests demand I do Raids…
I really like this Events, because I want to craft the Fietas EQ and Masi-Weapons. Maybe the RNG-Weapons are better, but they are RNG-Bullfrak which I cannot support.
Looks interesting, but i need to wait for re:build.
Why not Asio/Wastrel? They should be better than Masi at this point… (or maybe you’re not level 380 yet).
Why? Re:build needs to be prepared in advance, unless you’re already equipped with a full Velco set at this point. I see a lot of people currently stockpiling weapons and armor for ichoring or alts, and with the event it’s clearly the time to do so.

Because (1.) I do not need always the weapon with the highest base power; (2.) I have a life aside from Tree of Savior so I do not have the time to run other ; (3.) I favor roleplaying above min-maxing in Tree of Savior and Fietas + Masi work great for such a propose on my characters.

So… I have a few Solmiki cube I still have not open lying around and was planing on opening them when Bonus season hit to take advantage of the 50% off reopening price but it seems like its still the same price…
Does the 50% off only affects Cubes receive on the time of the event? or is this a Bug?
My bad… Had to just close the game and update it… I forgot I never closed it for the update.
i am hoping that ts is only for the cube after the event because it would be ridiculous if we could just stock up on cubes and abuses events.

I don’t know if you’re the right ppl to share a feedback with, but I would like to give you mine regarding this event.
At the beginning I was pretty exalted to able to start Velco, which was implemented when I started my hiatus. However I cannot enter any Velco party because I don’t have 8k def/magic def.
For this reason I decided to focus on miki, which I never did before. However two problems arised: first, nobody wants to lose a run to help somebody unlocks it (since progression from floor 20 is still bugged). Second, the population is so small that almost everybody is focusing on Velco, which means that noone wants to do miki anymore. Yesterra I was online for more than 10 hours and it was impossible to start a single group for 30F.
By my experience, the idea of this event was good, but the result is always the same: you’re helping whales getting fattier, augmenting the gap between them and new/returning player.
Since you’re giving new players fast tickets to endgame you have to provide them a real way to gear themselves to the last content, otherwise you’ll lose them very fast. It’s already frustrating enough to see ppl with +28 weapons while your own cannot reach +11, at least give access to the latest content…
Think about WoW. Does Blizzard expect players who plays BfA to farm to unlock raids in Vanilla to start doing the latest content?

Agreed.
When rebuild comes transcendence will be essential to getting geared for end game but guess where they put the newest source of massive amounts of blessed shards/gems? Boruta; content that you can’t do without being in a massive guild with massive whales.
I’m curious what the statistics would look like if we could peek at how many players own what % of the total silver and blessed shards/gems in existence.
Not defending imc in this regard, some of my character also suffer from this kind of thing where (You need the end game gear from last season e.g Solmiki to do this seasons end game gear Velco).
But one thing I learned playing this game is that… you don’t actually need Solmiki gear to run Velcoffer.
You said that noone wants to party with you on Velco because you don’t have 8k def/mdef…
well let me tell you something… you only need +5 purple grade plate armors with minimum of +30con. My Healer used to wear that and was fairly decent at Velco dungeon. even now I still use some purple grade Lv380 gears, just added Solmiki cloth top for that 80+con and Solmiki accesories for the 40+ con and +25 all stat bonus but even w/o it, I could still run Velco.
True that IMC could have handled this event a little bit better for newbies and returning players by providing them with ¯_(ツ)_/¯ oh i dunnu… a +11 Solmiki set of their choice, untradable, and will expire at the end of the event. (maybe that’s a little bit of a stretch.)
Anyways thats about it. go grab yourself a purple grade 380 gear with minumin +30con, upgrade it to +6 and knock yourself out on Velcoffer.
PS: the remaining lack of pdef and hp can be supported by other players skill like linker’s chain and food from camps.
Solmiki items are not required to do Velcoffer and your goal should be to run Velcoffer, not Solmiki. You can run Velcoffer on many builds with extremely low cost of equipment and you shouldn’t be spending any money on Solmiki cubes.
Solmiki items don’t help you clear Velcoffer. Berthas/Primus items or current raid items will help you more and are much cheaper and take less time to acquire.
What bug? There is no bug.

The most valuable thing you can get from Solmiki is the accessories… 2 bracelets and the Medal which all in all gives you 44con, 40 int, dex, str and +25 to all stat.

I don’t think it would be rly cheap, since Fedimian market is pretty expensive, but I can check.
I still think that they are making whales fattier, which won’t help getting ppl back. But maybe I’m just reliving in my mind what happened with the combat update, when a lot of players found themselves with useless chars that couldn’t properly check because they couldn’t afford the equip.

The bug is linked to moving from Lolo to Miki. The stairs are bugged, which means that you have to close 1 run at 20F and start a second one from 21F.

I don’t think that is much of a bug, they are considered to be two separate instances. Before if you progressed from 20 to 21 it would happen, but it would still consume a run during the transition so this is just a minor inconvenience.

But there are stairs to go up 1 floor. It’s that the instance crash if you do it.
You realize you need just marginal gear for velcoffer nowadays.
I see so many people shouting for PUGs early in the week after reset. If you’re doing your job and stuff, you’ll be fine.
Work on Masi, wastrel, asio as well. You don’t need full velcoffer to do velcoffer…
