hmm we can also say why sw2 was taken by corsair2’s was probably because of DWA., Concentrate with 13 hits wont be enough for the skill to be always active… well this is just a thought dont hate 
lv10 concentrate is 20 hits. but yes it won’t be enough for corsair 2. however it is enough for everyone else, lol.

As far as I know, on “true multi-hit” skills, Concentrate’s bonus damage is applied on every hit but still counts as “1 hit” on Concentrate’s hit-counter. So using Concentrate with something like Cyclone, Hexen Dropper etc. would actually grant you decent damage. But using it on normal attacks, DWA counted, would only literally apply as many times as you attack. So the 19 hits of Concentrate with DWA would only grant you 2261 damage, which doesn’t seem to be a lot imo.

try playing corsair2 and see for yourself just making a hypothesis wont make concrete results im sw3 and i can tell that lvl 5 wont fit for DWA unless you’re gonna use it for skills then that’s a different story 
Didn’t my samples fit into Corsair 2? Hexen and DWA are from Corsair 2, Cyclone is from Doppel, a reasonable class to take after Corsair 2. It increases your base damage which is really great for Corsairs’ low-base high/fast hit count, increases your attack speed which is also great for DWA, and it has one of the best AoEs in the Swordsman tree, which Corsair lacks.
Also, what’s the point of having the forums if we can’t hypothesize and ask others questions if all we’re going to get is a “go try it yourself”?

mostly ego. man. ego. same reason why people get offended when you point out there have been wrong choices in making their build when they thought it was the best. they’d go regressing to arguments like “mind your own build”, “this is just as good as what you suggest”, “stop dictating what’s right for other people” when clearly, they’re also operating on the same mindset that a build should be optimized, other-wise, they would have just taken different classes for every rank. people. ugh.
the thing is i have answered his hypothesis and can provide facts now he still wont take and accept it so what else can i suggest? go try it yourself right? and the guy’s taking corsair class generally when im just pertaining to one skill which uses basic attacks as its base now if i’ll be taking it from his perspective yes concentrate 5 is enough for Corsair since he’s talking about multi hit skill spamming but once it comes to Corsair2 which relies on DWA for filling skill cd’s you’re concentrate lvl 5 wont be enough to cover DWA and instant-skill spam. 13 hits is easy to throw especially with high HP mobs
btw if we’re to talk about ego this whole thread and its OP is full of it i myself appreciate and understand the point of taking pel1 instead of sw2 but im not gonna be that Mr.know-it-all because i know for a fact that some people has their reasons why they take sw2 instead of pel1 , one example is for doppels they take sw2 for restrain because restrain lvl 5 in combination with cyclone is enough to stunlock enemies within reach oops sorry bro forgot you’re the OP

Yes I agree that Lv.5 Concentrate is not enough for the buff to last DWA fillers until Concentrate’s next recast. However, what I’m questioning is the significance of the damage coming from Concentrate when used with DWA.

Nah I dont blame the forum its on me this time as im using this buggy smart phone which isn’t mine to kill boredom as im babysitting my niece earlier it has quite a smaller frame compared to mine which kinda confused me and now that im on my lappy and could see things clearly I think I got my ass handed down to me with all these confusion… again @tampon dude I apologize for being a total idiot sorry bro…
do you actually have a problem with seeing people go sword2? Into what, barb?
Why do you expect people to go into a tanking class when they plan to be DPS? I know most swordie DPS is garbage unless u end with shinobi, but as a highlander I can put armor break and shock on bosses, and stagger them for a huge buff to pierce damage. I can also spam thrust when staggered and bleed/skyliner some bosses which is actually decent damage even when compared to other nonswordies.
Any way I agree don’t go swordie DPS for the most part, but if you do ffs don’t waste ur time with pelt. Go tank or go DPS, don’t go half and half.
