The sad part is the GM asking ppl to watch wat they saying or they will get banned while all the racist shouts is going on and noone gave a damn about wat he is saying .
what he should have done is ban 1-3 ppl and change his message to show a firm position. what a useless GM

It becomes a problem if we want to be able to be a part of the community, and if other members make that difficult by spamming and insulting, then that’s bad, yeah?
Saying you should have thick skin is good advice for the most part. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t a nice environment. Good community > Bad community. Maybe some people don’t care about it, and that’s fine. But in an MMO this is something worth striving for.

Well, it’s sad to see Racism and Xenophobia building up on a game that is supposed to be an experience for everyone interacting with everyone else.
Every country has poorly educated people out there playing and making a bad name for them. Yeah, some of them are louder than others, but keep in mind: The bad playerbase is the minority!
Most people just want to ENJOY the game as much as everyone else regardless of their nationality!
Some points that are worth talking about:
- other languages on the world chat.
Well, this one is mostly for convenience and education. The world chat is where people would like to see information in a language they would understand and even feel compelled to interact and have fun, getting to know new people. I don’t think people should be harsh on other languages appearing in the World Chat, even though talking in a language everybody else understand would be a much more polite action. English just happens to be the most popular language in the world.
-Lag
This is a complicated one. Some people don’t really understand how connectivity works and just blame anything for the lag. It’s comprehensible that you are having a bad time facing bad connection, but it doesn’t give you the right to go blaming it on someone else and basing this solely on their nationality.
There are SO many reasons that could cause lag!! This is the ONLY problem that people should just face without questioning! Stuff happens, bad connectivity happens! It’s the Internet’s Life! Regardless of the reason, just endure it and stop blaming it and making toxic accusations! This just worsens the problems!
-Punishment for bad behaviour
Well, this one I don’t really know what to do, since reports can be abusive and stuff like that, but I liked the idea of being able to mute a player just like in DotA.
It would be the best way of “cleaning” chats without really doing anything too harsh.
But it takes time for people to get the culture of “Muting instead of Arguing”. But I think it is possible!
Well… I don’t even have a key for the game, I’m just enjoying seeing news and interacting with the comunity hahaha.
I’m pumped about the game and hope there will be no IP blocks to any country at all.
It’s nice to get to know people from all around the world. Getting to know new cultures, new people. Chat and have fun. All that while doing something fun on the game. That’s what I hope I’ll get by playing the game.
I miss the times when I played an MMO and felt engaged to the story and the community. I hope ToS brings it back to me.

It’s not exactly the problem. This is a dull, blunt and Personal solution, for sure, but it doesn’t solve the actual problem : there are people spouting racial / xenophobic slurs in the global chat, which I repeat, is forbidden in the first place.

What’s the point of having rules if they’re not enforced / respected ? This is why I don’t believe muting is a good solution.

Oh, don’t ask me xD I still don’t know what “huehue” means either. I think it’s a kind of laughing, but for trolls. “Normal people” here in Brazil uses “kkkkk” to laught. Offtopic: It’s funny when we laught “kkk” with english speakers nearby and they automaticaly think of ku klux klan.
What is annoying about the “huehue” is because when they start “hueing”, the chat turns to be just “hueing”, so people can’t talk anymore. I understand their point. I wouldn’t like a kid shoutingin my ear while I’m trying to have a conversation with someone else, but still… the racism is bad.

BR here and we only have ourselfs to blame, the “HUEHUE” meme was just a really exagerated way of mocking BR players on foreign servers that refuse to speak in the server’s language (most of the time english), keep begging for ■■■■ and had those obnoxious keyboard mash laughs
But then, after this became a meme, instead of proving those people wrong we actually embraced it and the whole “zueira never ends” was born, and everyone hates it
I played the beta for the last few days, and really, I can’t say how many times I saw the global chat be flooded with “HUEHUEHEU” and other ■■■■, also 90% of the time, portuguese was the only language other than english that I saw being used
If you’re BR you know how true all those complaints are, so please don’t try to pretend that you’re offended or play the victim, the only ones doing this are probably the ones who spammed the global chat with this ■■■■

I can block with the Block System in the chat a guy talking “HUEHUEHUE” but when you have 1,000 peoples flooding in chat shout, stupid things and out of the BETA TEST contest there the thing goes out of control
