Yes questing is depressing; also instance spamming. I was so excited when the game was first being talked about. ToS has all the makings of a great grinding game except for the fact that they decided…not to do that?

That because many people who did play it allready was sick and tired of it. I don’t have RO nostalgia, I won’t play it again even if you payed me. [quote=“fitzfeliz, post:22, topic:241636”]
all your complains and comparissons are made out of ignorance and nostalgia, a pretty sad combination for an opinion since it makes it harder to take you seriously.

Sorry you were too much of a retard to play the game proper. There are people who play online to play with other people. Not play solo and bitch and whine about how things are not fair and too grindy.
FYI I only played on one RO P server, and I quit after 1 week because I had hit end game and everyone was playing retarded without thinking.
And no, did you even play RO? or are you comparing it to now.
Don’t talk smack like you know things please. Makes yourself look bad, unless your 15 or something, then I can forgive you.
This is not a RO thread or ToS vs other games thread, please take it else where @linzhang7 @fitzfeliz
Also I was going to forgive you but.
In many many, MANY games there are monsters that people farm all day that can 1 shot anybody. Don’t stop the players from farming it.
Hell ■■■■■■■ goombas one shot mario, OP as ■■■■ man. HOW DID I NOT SEE!

See how ppl are different and interesting? Imo, grinding is the problem. There should be quests til lvl 280, not end them all in Cranto Coast. Having to grind is a huge turn down to me. Everyone is different and I think the game has enough option to please most of ppl.
I played WoW for 10 years, never had to grind there, I had enough quests for all my leveling and beyond and was really happy about it. I do however agree this game needs more end game content though. But I think (hope) they’ll add more soon…
I don’t mind quests existing. What i hate is making them mandatory.
Quests are helping… I played Lineage 2, it took me 3 years to reach level 75. Not everybody has 12 hours a day to play a game and while this game was amazing it only promoted hardcore gaming. Not to mention that if you remember right the highest level players were ALL actively botting. WHOLE alliances and clans were botting 24/7 in zones they were controlling due to the Open Pvp/PK system. Not to mention that there was a cost in dying- Losing hours, if not days of effort considering you would lose XP, but also had a chance of dropping a piece of equipment which possibly cost you a year work of farming. These systems bring their own issues. Anyway- I played Lineage 2 from its CBT to C4 and can say it was one of the best games I played but I would never put that time and effort into a game again. it’s fine for children, actually not even, and it sure is not fine for adults.
I miss murdering people with my water unicorn.
i kinda like the x10 dmg x50… biolabs in ToS? there we go
I was a Sword Singer…Lol
Grind sucks, that’s why WoW became the best MMO, literally exterminated grinding. Only a few people enjoy grinding.
Sadly, tos lvl 200+ character has a lot of grind. I’m considering only get rank 7 with my chronomancer and stop playing the character.
Well… I mean this game has such big influence from RO and Granado Espada so grinding and exp cards are fundamentals. Tbh, I only liked WoW on WOTK.
Ragnarok Online and Lineage II… those were the days
Im under the impression that the devs are trying to make people not make a new character
because due to the vast amount of stupid annoying quests implemented
The quests are awful in this game and you have to do them every time. It is truly painful.
This.
Everyone is different. I feel the same way you do and wonder why any game would only cater to one side. Why not both? Give the game enough grind spots [and channels] for those that love the grind, and the rest of us enough maps to quest on. We’re all happy that way.
Also, if I ever play with a friend/friends, I really commit. We agree on play times, where we’re going next, and when to take breaks. If one can’t play but I want to, I play on an alt. It’s all much easier with friends, but you have to put in the effort to stay together.
