This and stopping advertisement spam or offtopic spam was the purpose of downvoting though. So people are doing it right here.
However, Redditers frequently treat the downvote as a:
- I disagree
or - I don’t want to see posts like this (Even if the post isn’t cancerous/off topic)

This place needs moderation,that’s it.The welcome post pinned here made it sound like we’d get them…but tada! Nothing.

It just depends on the subreddit, to me. /r/treeofsavior is just really bad to spend your time in because everyone’s pretty downvote-happy unless you say something legit funny or something that isn’t offensive.
I usually spend my time on other subreddits, and I definitely have more fun there.

NoSleep is pretty good. I’ve submitted a story there and people enjoyed it.
But then I tried the FFXIV subreddit and noped out of Reddit period lol. Think Reddit gamers have their own ways of being toxic even if it isn’t completely obvious like it is here.
I’ve found plenty of good information about this game on these forums. OP is just salty. Just ask class related questions in the class forums.

If that’s the case, I’d certainly want to take a looksie at your story! I usually tend to write or read fanfics, myself.
That said, I suppose some videogame subreddits have varying levels of toxicity. Especially if they’re online games. :v I confess, I’ve stopped making comments at ToS’s unless I’m perfectly sure what I’ve said was so neutral you could easily pass over it.

Actually I kind of have to agree that this game is a piece of, and at the rate IMC is going, it will probably take anot her year for it to be in a playable balanced state… I mean the game was empty last night, I literally sat in dungeons queue for 1.5 hours, so I’m pretty sure I’m of the popular opinion. Plus, I’m not a waifu weeabu fantasy boy, so gameplay was the only thing keeping playing, not anymore though… just gotta wait a while for imc to get their shift together.
The subreddit is much worse now than it was. Everyone that was positive or contributed anything interesting (art/videos/etc) moved here.
This place at the time this post was made was overrun with negativity but has become vastly better.
The only interesting content the subreddit has now is the occasional IMC announcement post, which you can get here.
If the mods of the subreddit had actually done something about all the negative behaviour over there then perhaps the community wouldn’t have driven away all the submitters posting other content. Unfortunately they did nothing.
