If you want to talk about the game or have any questions, just go to the treeofsavior reddit. It is not worth discussing ANYTHING at all here as trolls and haters of the game run rampant. The only categories you should come to this forum are for bug reports and class discussions. That’s it. At least talk in the treeofsavior subreddit on reddit, as that is much, MUCH, more tame, with actual sensible people instead of virulent and cancerous idiots. Please, if you like this game, do yourself a favor and leave this place.

Also, don’t scroll down and read any of the posts that are posted below this one. Avert your eyes, you sweet summer children. I 100% guarantee you it will be a cesspool of toxicity just like the rest of these forums.

I’d rather hang around trolls, sh!tposters, haters and overall toxic people, than the downvote Circlejerk that is Reddit.

Please, go to Reddit to be downvoted for saying anything that isn’t part of the mainstream thinking there.

I admit the downvote system helps keep the cancer away but it also keeps pretty much everything away, forcing a system of conformity where the only views and opinions that matter are based on how popular you are or how much your post represents the mainstream mentality of the particular subreddit.

No one in their right mind thinks the game is in a good state. And the only reason there are so many angry people on the forums is because they want to see it improve.

If anything is going to scare new players away.

It won’t be the issues, it’ll be the community. Players can put up with a lot of crap if the community is nice. I’ve seen it before in other games (FFXI, Grandchase, Elsword, Mabinogi, to name a few)

The community will kill this game before any bugs or issues that IMC need to settle do.

I said it once, I’ll say it again: IMC has the power to moderate these forums and they do not.

People can say things like this here and IMC doesn’t even care lol. People are going to do whatever they want and act like barbarians if the community forums have no moderation.

So perhaps IMC doesn’t think the community will kill their game. So why should we?

It’s a joint thing.

Could the situation be better? Yeah, it could.

But being pessimistic and telling people to stay away, and over all running around being asshats isn’t going to solve anything.

It’ll only make things worse.

Yeah, but people should know better too, no? The boards could be waaay better with moderation. But, in theory, it shouldn’t need to happen in the first place if people would act…decent lol

I never expect people to act decent. That just leads to disappointment and depression.

I mean seriously, by that logic, we can remove all of our laws too like murder being illegal and expect people to just act decent.

While yes, this is correct, to expect people to be able to act decent and discuss things in a civil manner isn’t asking for too much.

I’m just saying, it IS part of the problem. Saying how the community acts is IMC’s fault is trying to push the blame just a bit, don’t you think?

Could it be handled better? Yes

Does it need to be? Most certainly.

Can the problem be alleviated if people acted nicer/more mature/more like a community? Yeah.
One of these is in our control, and we can do something about it though, if everyone wants the game to be better…shouldn’t we start with what is in our control?
