It’s normal that the first-worlder are always laugh at third-worlder anyway

crappy situation.

but what else is crappy is how the botters and RMT’s were taking advantage of the price of the DLC packs in certain regions to make more bots for even cheaper. sadly, a few rotten apples spoil it for the whole bunch.

once the servers have been regionally relocated, this is what they’ve already announced they will be doing.

then again, regions right now are USA, EU, SEA, and soon BR.
EU will likely be priced comparably with USA… so i hope your pings to SEA are good…

Correct me if I’m wrong but shouldn’t Steam be bothered by this, not IMC? As far as I remember Steam has stated clearly that using VPN to abuse pricing is strongly prohibited and is punished by decapitation permanent ban. What’s the point in prohibiting something if you cannot control it?

IMC stated here that selling tokens do not affect market anyhow so…

Lol, haven’t seen this post.
Therefore all their announcements seem to be contradictory. Basically if they want to incease price - influx of tokens does affect, however if there is a problem on their side with poor security measures - it doesn’t :))

Please listen to this IMC and apply the same idea to all affected regions.

Btw, its not only Russia but whole CIS region. And there are ALOT of potential customers.

“Russia now outside of Germany is our largest continental European market.” © Gabe Newell.

congratulations.

not only did IMC agree to this suggestion, but they agreed so hard they fell back through time and announced it yesterday afternoon.
(good job keeping up with announcements about the game.)

Yeah, so the price “fix” doesn’t stop anything except creating new accounts for cheap, which is why pack #3 was removed… so why remove regional pricing? Or… why remove pack #3 if it would have been more expensive, too?

no one else seems to be aware of this ever having been said.

they said things that… if you read poorly… might -look- like this… but they weren’t this.

what the price fix does:
it stops some people in the community from getting the same products while paying less than 1/3 the price.

this prevents people from exploiting the cheap prices in one region to buy a lot of the DLC, and then selling it “cheap” (compared to the expensive regions) while making a profit in some manner.

everyone demands they do something about botters/RMT…
and then they do something about them, and everyone suddenly demands it be something -else- that doesn’t affect -them-.

This is why servers that apply all over the world don’t work. Regional servers work so much better for MMO games, I don’t mean just locations but accounts too.

You buy a EU copy you just go to the EU server.
You buy a US copy you just go to the US server.

Etc.

Unfortunately certain global groups are more likely to scam or exploit loop holes and everyone gets punished. At least with regional accounts you can get better value in terms of regional currency.

First of all TS is speaking for himself, not for some “Russian community”. Thats just lame.
I’m from Russia myself, but i do understand that regional prices for international server will cause abuse and resselings. In fact, the decision to sell premium game currency for regional prices was silly and unprofessional and caused many problems.
Yes, founders packs is now realy expensive, but you should undertand that founders packs wasnt designed for multiple purchases and stacking TP. Founders packs is like tickets for early access. And price was raised because of abuse.
I hightly doubt that price of token for example will be like 20$ after game going f2p. Game is already losing players very quickly due to poor optimization and lack of content. ToS is not AAA mmo, high prices will push away community and destroy the game. And IMC understand that.
So dont panic so soon people from third world countries. Wait for game release and actual prices announced.

P.S. If you want to play international server, get ready to pay appropriate price, no matter how weak your own currency is. Otherwise wait for regional server.

They want you to play on SEA server /paf
Enjoy your affordable TP/high ping experience !

Actually it will cost around $20. (https://forum.treeofsavior.com/t/whats-the-cost-of-1-token-in-the-english-version/154702)
Wanna pay 1.3k rubles a month to play the MMO like a MMO and not some single player game? Trade restrictions, 1 item on market, no team strorage etc.

Theses shouldn’t be paywalled anyway…

Seriously i dont see how’s that even a discussion.
IMC is a private company working for profits, it is up to them what prices they want to set for their service. Are they breaking any laws by doing it? Prices are too high? People wont buy it, and IMC wont get profit then.
Try to go to NewYork, Tokyo or Moscow, go to the hooker and say: “Hey, you know, 50$ is too much for you service! I can go to movies 15 times for that money! I’m from 3rd world country so give me regional discount!”
People, seriously, WTF?!

Your reasoning makes no sense at all, a hooker in Russia won’t be the same price as a hooker in the States. Same as a kg of chicken or apples. It’s IMC’s choice to provide a service yes and if they do indeed want to make profit they, themselves must adapt to different countries and their situations OR they simply do not advertize the game in such countries.

But isn’t it more like said hooker is now in your country, down the street from others in the same line of work with competitive pricing, yet the cost of this special “service” is in line with their country of origin instead of where it is being served?

No one forces anyone to buy the DLC especially the expensive one.

It is only fair for everyone to have the same price as anything else leads to abuse. And Russia on steam is known to be abused for cheap purchases and gifts.

If the Russian Community leaves because of that then spasibo my friend and goodbye.

It’s “spasibo”, with “o”.

There were a lot of discussion about “hey, your people abusing this and that, gtfo for everyone to live happily”. Russians, Brazilians, doesn’t matter.
Well, this doesn’t work because why call it “international server” then, hm?

And also, as I mentioned above, people can and want(ed) to use VPN to buy from other countries’ markets on Steam. But this should be Steam’s headache, not IMC’s.

Let’s blame Steam because why not!
