In diagram you show before there was 15-20% of CIS / Russian players and that’s massive playerbase. We have many ToS fan sites, forums, guilds and very loyal community. But your 300% price increase is just personal insult. Direct conversion from USD to RUR making no sense. Look, DLC#1 is now 3100 RUR. Dark Souls 3, GTA 5, The Division, Mafia 3, Tomb Rider and other AAA games are 2000 RUR and lower. You can’t sell DLC pack 33% more expensive than full AAA games. Our community is heavily insulted and many want to leave and not recommend game to friends.
You seem to have not read the bolded words.
Honestly, dont buy the DLC pack and wait for f2p.
Right now the people deving and marketing ToS is so inept that spending any money will make you regret it in some way shape or form.
Just save the money and wait for f2p. Yea i know they should drop their prices but the best winning move atm is not to play.
his point was probably saying that the initial price of TOS with regional pricing was cheaper even without the discount.
and the price has increased massively without any warnings, no need to insult him with being poor or anything, it’s pretty understandable.
but yes he will probably get nowhere in his post because IMC seems to have finalized the decision.
I’m not poor in my country. I’m middle class, have decent full time job. But when I come to store to buy something I don’t use US dollars, I use Russian rubles. Steam is international store and all publishers use regional prices so I can buy games with my own currency. Converting it to USD makes no sense.
im not insulting him
im just stating a fact…

insulted by what? that the game is expensive?
really? this game is f2p, why butthurt so much…
Dude, 3100rur is like one time lunch in my country, the funny thing is im not
even life in the US, i life in hk
yes, that was the point of the post, they felt insulted because of the sudden rise in the price just a day or two without any announcements before the promised 30% discount.
I know a lot of people that got affected by this, I am not affected because I’m from the sea region and even with the regional prices off i’m paying about $4 less after the 50% off, compared to the regional pricing without the discount
edit: but damn with the 300%, never knew russia had to pay that much without regional pricing.

Please dont generalize. I’m Russian and i’m not insulted because i understand IMC’s reasoning behind the changes. They will just receive less monetary support from me.
Originally Russia was getting the EA1 for around $15 USD I believe. I almost wanted to use vpn to abuse man but then I remember I’m not poor and can afford it. Don’t mind my name.
Your post is an insult to intelligence itself.
And just a couple of years ago $47 would only equal to around 1400 RUB. So source of the problem is actually a weak currency. Say thanks to your government for that.
Anyway, IMC already stated that getting rid of regional pricing is a temporary measure. You guys can always just don’t pay anything (game is going F2P in less than a month) and wait for some sort of regional pricing to be re-established. Once IMC implements their new trading system (with less restrictions for F2P players) it should be even less of a problem.

This is not a solution. Ping is too high.
Lol at those who claim those people are poor being unable to afford such prices. If you knew anything about conversion and life in specific countries with wages comparison you would never make such a statement. We live in easy to live countries, give them a break.
Give back old Russian prices, BUT make a token sale restriction, so those cheap-bought tokens wont be able to be sold.
Wow, actually it’s the best idea, I’ve sen so far. Wish I could give it 200 upvotes. Untradable cosmetics will not have any influence on market.
I’m pretty sure that routing doesn’t go directly from Russia to Singapore so it might be a bad idea. From Russia it goes through either US or EU first, so by right players from Russia would get much worse pings to Singapore rather than to EU or US.
I’m in Singapore and my friends from Russia are getting 300+ pings when they join me on local servers (in some other games).
As for regional prices, there is no solid confirmation that prices won’t be ever adjusted for Russia. Just wait and see how it goes.
