Please don't listen to the casual players

holy crap, lol… wow!

Lol. If I’m only working this is my schedule: Wake up 6:30 am, be at work 8 am, finish 4 pm, get home 4:30-5 pm. Play from whenever I get home till 12-1 am(with a break to eat, obviously). And then sleep.Have had no health problem yet ^^.

Also, no one has to “pay” me for something I enjoy doing ^^. Gaming is my passion

Haven’t you forgot social life like your girl / wife, family and friends? :scream_cat:

Not really because they are so sleep deprived and tired that they don’t even know wtf they are doing beside grinding. Your not finding or remembering any bugs or issue in that state lol

I talk to my family daily. My friends play videogames with me/we get together from time to time to have a videogame day on one of our houses playing smash/ps4/xbos one/whatever. I often go to the cinemas, etc. I’m not saying I DO THAT EVERYDAY, I’m saying, thats what i normally do IF I’VE NOTHING ELSE TO DO. Big difference. Also, my gf enjoys playing mmorpgs as much as I do, so we mostly spent time playing ^^.

Edit: Also I dont enjoy clubbing for personal reasons, so if they decide to go clubbing I’ll just pass and stay at my place playing videogames(be it LOL,ToS,whatever I’m playing at the moment).

Besides bugs, they can also contribute by adding some of their feedbacks like this guy Lord Stormakov's General Feedback
He is the highest level character in this beta test (level 106).

I’ve still yet to see anyone provide a half-decent reason as to why exp rates should be increased.

The argument shouldn’t be about hardcore vs casual players. The argument should be about how increasing exp rates will improve the game. Making it easier for the entire community to reach max level does not help in any way. If anything, it would cause for outcry regarding pace of progression/content (which is evident in almost every game out there). I don’t understand what the rush is. Many things considered, an increase in exp rate is something I personally feel is unnecessary for improving the quality of the game.

I also find ridiculous the claim people are making about which side often spends more money on a game. Talk about skewed sample sizes. Please provide unbiased research and make this claim again, as from my experiences, the amount of time one is able to invest in a game is not the determinant of whether the individual opens their wallet or not.

As I’ve already mentioned, your situation as a player is for you to deal with. If you can’t spend as much time as the next person trying to progress in the game, find a creative alternative to deal with it. Don’t try to change the game to accommodate your “wants” at the expense of others, especially if it’s for some selfish reason.

Though the way the original poster titled the thread is unfair, the individual clearly states that he is referring to the issue regarding exp rates. The opinions of all players are important, but that does not make them all valid base for change. And as already mentioned, I have yet to see anyone provide a good reason for such change in this thread.

And finally, if you as a customer were going to decide on whether you would support the game financially solely based on how easy it is for you to level and keep up with the rest of the community, please leave. That should not be the determining factor, but if it is, there are plenty of other games out there that suit your tastes. Don’t ruin this game for others.

If you read the post at all you would see I was responding to his comment about this game not being grindy at all. Telling him it was grindy, that was my point…don’t know what you’re trying to say here…

It would be funny if they just kept the exp rate low then introduced exp booster cash shop items. Low EXP rate games are often accompanied with exp booster cash items not to mention bots and hackers but that’s a different topic. Then the people who wanted low exp rates can move on to complaining about how the game is P2W and the “filthy casuals” who have jobs can enjoy the game with boosted exp rates while the hardcore grinders can spend their 12 hours a day doing what they love most.

You do realize, if they implement exp boosters it’d prolly be “10%” exp boost or something minimal right? Max of 50%. Still, you’ll have to grind your ass off if you want to achieve something

then the game ends up like archeage and everybody quits. casuals and hardcores. gg

lol keep up the delusion that hard core mean anything but you got more time than other people and that your something better. You are the types that ruins mmorpgs.

Thanks for your input super and i’m still looking the same thing yeah i… was straight with my post… because i’m Highly aware that there aren’t factual data around that debunks the exp rate being detrimental to the game in any way… i don’t try to disregard other people’s opinions… but the problem is that most of these “opinions” don’t 've any sort of backbone… and i believe the discussion shouldn’t be the rates at all it should be the content and how to make it more worthwhile… instead of just being a one time thing in every map and other stuff which slows down the ingame progress like bosses which are a waste of time… The game is great but it really has it’s problems and Exp rate isn’t one.

erm The game doesn’t feel as grindy once you optimize your playstyle… but meh why bother…

The game won’t “feel grindy” if you do anything but “grinding” - tell me what else you could do other than grinding? Either you grind for your Main Level to improve aka Killing Hundred Thousends of Monsters to get into the higher Levels and maybe stop the grind to do things like PvP or (possible?) Mini Games - or you Grind Quests over and over wich also may include Grinding the same Mobs over and over.

If you claim “The game doesn feel as grindy” you clearly missed the meaning of the term “grind” after all. And again you probably never tried Ragnarok - where you grind your entire “Gaming Life” if it’s creating new Charakters to grind to the Max or Grinding MvPs - all you do is grinding. Even if you only do PvP you are grinding the PvP Spots. As simple as that xD

So let us all know how we could optimize our playstyle so it doesn’t feel as grindy anymore? Oh yes unless the Ragnarok fans among us turn into your so called “Casuals” and only play like 1 hour per day. That might be the solution you are aiming for,

The only thing you achieved with this comment is an attempt to troll on the previous one and showing that you got no idea about the term of “grinding”.

better to not accommodate for casual player, it will just lead to premature death of game, better to make game challenging with good rewards for hardwork

I mean I’ll be honest, I really don’t get this thread. Having played MMO’s for years I’ll straight up say you have to be quite delusional to think grinding is “hardcore” and that doing repetitive mundane tasks for longer periods of time than other people make you better than them. It’s one of the most pathetic thing I’ve ever heard and disregarding the feedback of other people because a minority managed to spend over 100 hours in a 150 hour beta seems a little silly(though to be fair beta testers are expected to do mundane tasks over and over to ensure there are no bugs).
